“== FOOD == I got the rice noodles with youtiao. Super delicious. I saw the picture for a satay beef noodles and it looked so good, so I'll get it next time.
== SERVICE == There's not many staff inside, just one girl who was manning the kitchen area. It's all mostly self-serve ordering at a kiosk, or ordering with the QR code at your table.
== AMBIANCE == I was the only customer inside waiting for my food. Most orders were to-go and I saw many drivers come in to pick up food.“

“The place was empty so we were initially a bit doubtful. I’m glad we made the decision to stay because ALL of their dishes were delicious, not just their Hainan chicken but also their beef, wings, and even their stir fried veggies tastes like it came from much bigger restaurants.“

“Was in the area so came in for a early Sunday morning breakfast and was pleasently surprised. Ordered the congee w/fried noodles and a western style chicken steak plate w/pineapple bun along with their signature HK style milk tea which came out in a flash. The portion were generous and the taste reminded me of the neighborhood HK cafes in Hong Kong! Overall it hit the spot on all the right places and will definitely return for their lunch menu in the future!“

“I did order online and pick up! I got their friend shrimp and egg chive pockets and they were just to die for! So freaking good! The veggie potstickers were good too, not too exciting though. My husband loved bao buns he got. Would love to come again and actually dine in!“

“Took our friends to try out the food, and it was really good. Good portion, not oily and tasty. We ordered 3 dishes and it was enough for the four of us. The fish with stir fried veggies had a similar sauce to the chicken, both dishes were good. The eggplant dish was amazing. We also ordered 3 bowls of rice, and had left overs to take home. Bang for your buck!“

“Honestly, so glad we came across this spot. Everything tasted super fresh and you can tell it’s made with care. The hot dishes came out crispy on the outside and just really well cooked overall. The flavor was on point, didn’t even need to add anything.
What really stood out though was the people. The ladies working there were so friendly, and when we were paying we met the daughter at the register. You can just feel that it’s a family-owned place and they really take pride in what they do.
It’s one of those simple, down-to-earth spots with good food and good people. Definitely coming back.“

“I recently visited 粤味坊 (Yue Wei Fang), a cozy Chinese restaurant that specializes in authentic Cantonese cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, with traditional Chinese decor and soft lighting that creates a relaxed dining environment. It’s a great place for both casual meals and small gatherings“

“Been coming here for some time now so I am definitely biased. That said, food here is served to order and is always fresh and hot. This recent visit we (the Wife and I and my Son) had an order of egg fried rice, sweet and sour fish and moo shu pork. All of the dishes were delicious, nothing to note in the way of any disappointment. They have a great beef chow fun and many of the other dishes are very 👍 good. Will definitely be back and I definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for some good Chinese food in the area. Only note to make is it can get busy here and the owner and a few staff run this place so call ahead and order to go or just be patient...it is definitely worth it😋.“

“We go here for a quick & simple breakfast. The pick your own combo is a good deal: porridge + choice: lo mai gai (sticky lotus rice) + drink. The BBQ pork cheung fun is smooth with the right amount of chew and you can see it made to order through the glass sometimes. The staff are friendly and attentive while it does get busy on weekends and lunch rush. Joe the manger will check in to see how’s things are going which is rare in HK style restaurants but appreciated in any setting.“

“Garden Bistro is my go-to for comfort food. Their Black Pepper Filet Mignon with Udon is a 10/10—the meat is always tender and the sauce has just the right kick. It’s a bit of a hidden gem in the Fullerton Rd plaza with a cozy, welcoming vibe. Great for a quick lunch or a late-night craving. Quick service and massive portions!“

“Food 4/5 - Ordered beef chow fun, chinese sausage/diced broccoli fried rice, braised crispy tofu w/ three delights, and crispy pan-fried whole flounder. Beef chow fun and the fried rice were delicious, both dishes have very good “wok-hei”. Crispy pan-fried flounder was also delicious, good crispy outside fry with the fish still being soft. There’s some soy sauce beneath the fish, but I’d like it to be served on the side so you can dip your fish pieces. Braised crispy tofu was good, tofu texture was very soft and the 3 delights (shrimp/fish fillet/octopus) were fine.
Price $$ - Price is good for the portions that were served. The plates might look small, but they have depth.
Service 3/5 - Service is average, we needed to flag down a server to refill our drinks.
Atmosphere 4/5 - Interior is good with Chinese themed decor.
Overall - Had a pleasant experience and would visit again.“

“We are lucky that if you dine during the lunch time, the rice is free. Or else you need to order the rice separately. The rice portion is big, however, one of the rice bowl contains the VERY BOTTOM of the rice pot. (See my picture). I don't think that is the right and professional way to serve a customer with that portion of the rice. Therefore, that deducts a star for this restaurant.
The service is good and the atmosphere is standard.
In conclusion, the prices for this restaurant are a bit high in my opinion. I will ONLY come back if the 20% off discount continues.“

“If you're craving dim sum, this place is definitely worth a try. The dim sum menu is solid, offering a decent variety of dishes that satisfy those midday cravings. The food quality is good overall, flavorful, and filling. However, when it comes to dinner time, the experience takes a bit of a dive. The dinner menu isn't particularly impressive, and the foods lack in flavor. I wouldn't recommend coming during dinner time.
The service, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired. The staff can be a bit inattentive and, at times, even rude.“

“Came here on a Thursday for some dinner to-go. There were around 2-3 customers when I dropped by around 7pm.
I got a garlic veggie and a crispy noodle. Both were super delicious. The veggie sauce made it just right seasoning. Would definitely come back for some dim sum next time“

“Really solid Cantonese meal. The steamed fish was delicate and clean, with a nice soy-ginger sauce. The salt & pepper shrimp were crispy and flavorful. The roast duck had juicy meat and a fragrant skin. The XO sea cucumber was well-seasoned with good wok heat, and the greens kept everything balanced. Nothing flashy, just consistently good—perfect for a casual dinner and worth returning to.“

“We had an amazing meal here! The seafood was the star—fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked. The Peking Duck was crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried beef was tender and delicious. We also enjoyed the vegetables with tofu, which were light, fresh, and a great balance to the richer dishes. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor—perfect spot for a family dinner or celebration!“

“Food tastes good. Services are fast.
02/20 update: can not believe that I have not been back here for 3 years, as we normally go to New Capital for dim sum.
Came around 9:30am, got seated, and made our orders right away. Unfortunately, the chefs do not come until 10am, so certain items on the menu are not available. That said, items we ordered are delicious. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back soon.“

“Walking through the door felt like stepping off the MTR at Causeway Bay. The fluorescent-lit signage, the cramped-but-cozy booth seating, the plastic-laminated menus, the sound of clattering ceramic — every detail was dialed in. This isn’t a “Hong Kong-inspired” cafe where someone Googled the aesthetic. This is the real thing.
The milk tea arrived in a tall glass with that unmistakable pulled-tea smoothness — silky, slightly bitter, perfectly sweetened. It could hold its own against anything I’ve had at a dai pai dong. The pineapple bun with butter (bolo bao) was fresh out of the oven, with a shatteringly crisp sugar crust giving way to pillowy bread and a cold slab of butter melting in real time. I may have ordered a second one immediately.
The scrambled egg on toast was a masterclass in simplicity done right — fluffy, custardy eggs on thick-cut white toast, the way cha chaan tengs have been doing it for 60 years. The wonton noodle soup had that clean, delicate shrimp-and-pork broth with noodles that still had bite. Proper.
Service was fast, no-frills, and efficient — exactly what you want. No unnecessary fuss, just good food delivered quickly with a nod. Peak cha chaan teng energy.
If you’re homesick for Hong Kong, craving something authentic, or just tired of cafes that prioritize Instagram over flavour — this is your place. Don’t miss it.“
