“I've been coming here for the last eight years. I only ever order the fajitas or grilled shrimp grapefruit salad—my absolute favorite dishes. We recently celebrated our nuptials here, and they were so kind. Our server helped with food and drink recommendations for the other individuals in our party, and they checked in on us often. “This may be the best food (overall) that I’ve ever had in Colorado so far, and the BEST tacos by a landslide. Whoever is making the food at this place is surpassing any and every other *good* taco spot I’ve ever tried. The steak and chicken tacos were so perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy - not doused in hot sauce or something spicy to cover up the flavors of real food made well… This is the work of a true chef and/or someone who has many layers of knowledge on how to marinade and season Mexican food to bring out the most vibrant and delicious flavors. Nothing is greasy, the meat isn’t rubbery or overcooked or skimpy portions. Everything is just the right portion (slightly larger than street tacos, so you don’t have to order 4 to feel full and get your money’s worth, 1-2 tacos with chips and queso or guac is plenty to feel happy with). Everything was incredibly fresh as well, including everything in the tacos, salsa, guacamole, tortillas. I would eat these tacos every day if I could.

It’s a bit of a small space, but exceptionally clean. Like… spotless, in the kitchen and in the dining areas and restrooms. Service was great. Not too loud, like most places that are blasting music - which was much more pleasant to the nervous system. Always appreciate low volume, chill environment to feel relaxed. This place is a 10/10 perfection.“

“I love this place. Its so much better than Chipotle & Moe’s. The food tastes authentic/real. Its very reasonable prices. The guacamole is great. They have red & green jalapeño sauce. You can get red peppers & onions, green peppers & onions or both. The bar is very laid back. You can usually catch young people shooting the breeze or watching sports. The place is never packed but never empty. The staff is super friendly humble kind. They have an outdoor seating area at the one that I went to. Plenty of parking. I’m not so hot on trivia or drag queens. But its a very comfortable laid back environment. Safe for people of all ages. I usually get the quesadilla and I’m coming here from now on instead of Chipotle.“

Manuel Taco is one of those unassuming little taco trucks you only find because some hero on Reddit mentioned it in passing—parked in a nondescript lot off Bruce Randolph, looking like it might sell discount hubcaps instead of life-changing food. But no. Inside that modest metal box is culinary wizardry.

The breakfast burritos? Best in the city. Full stop. They’re the kind of burritos that make you reconsider every other breakfast decision you’ve ever made. The tacos are outstanding too—simple, perfectly seasoned, and made by a single dude who is very clearly working his butt off while simultaneously achieving greatness on a griddle the size of a clipboard.

It’s cash only, which somehow feels right. Places this good should not be tied to the tyranny of modern banking. Bring a few bills, park in the most unremarkable parking lot in Denver, and prepare to walk away wondering how something so low-key can taste so legendary.

“We ate at DGO Cocina tonight and it was the best Mexican cuisine my husband and I have ever had! He had the beef fajita and I had the chicken. The meat was so tender, the flavor popped and the homemade flour tortillas melted in your mouth.

“I'd like to sing the praises of the manager and staff at our neighborhood Torchy’s at 6325 East Hamden Ave. in Denver, Colorado. They have once again proved to value the community they serve.

Every year at this time, our neighborhood hosts a family friendly Mardi Gras marching parade. Kids, dogs, bikes, wagons, music…
We march around the neighborhood throwing beads and small trinkets to the onlookers.

Then, in the afternoon, we march ourselves up the road as some 25-30 of us descend on our favorite Torchy’s.

Manager Christopher Vargas and his staff welcomed us in.
Our costumed Krewe enjoyed delicious food and tasty drinks for several hours.

The service and smiles from Chris and his staff was excellent.

We really appreciate Torchy’s being part of our tight knit neighborhood.“
