“Stopped in on a late-night layover and this place completely delivered. Amazing underground, gritty speakeasy vibe, packed with great energy where you can just sit back and soak in the room. Started with a phenomenal, dark rum swizzle built the right way, and finished the night with their house-made ginger beer, which is hands down the Best Ginger Beer I've ever had. Skip the tourist traps on the strip and come down here for actual craft.“

“Wanted to eat some authentic Cuban food while visiting South Beach. What I got was WAYYYYY more! Nicholas was amazing. Everyone from the host, to the food runners were so nice!

The mango mojito is worth every dollar and their rum could be served on ice! It’s that good.

I got the fried chicken and my partner got the Cuban sandwich( this was his first one ever so he was blown away ) what a great introduction! My mojito chicken was cooked to perfection, the mojito was soooo flavorful and the meat fell right off the bone.

If you’re debating here or the place next door, I say here first, next door the next day. I believe they’re all sister restaurants so I’d assume similar service and quality of food haha.“

“We choose it for dinner based on the reviews but after our experience we agree that the rating is too high. The serving was mediocre, the mojito was served in a water glass. We ordered pizza for the kids and the salami was spicy, they couldn’t eat it- a heads up would have been mandatory in this case. Despite all that the paella was very tasty, and one is enough to serve 2 persons. The prices are in the average scale for Ocean Drive.“

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

Tony is so kind, attentive, and a treasure, and Shea is fabulous and so personable & charismatic. We would go here just for them, and their music playlists are just stellar. The atmosphere is great, comfortable, not pretentious, welcoming and inclusive. Living in Miami Beach, this spot is a rarity.
