“I ordered a deconstructed pina colada from this bar. The bar is located downstairs below another bar. Please don't bother wasting your time or money at the upstairs bar. The atmosphere at Swizzle Rum Bar is super chill and laid back. Cozy, dark space to relax. Not a lot of seating, but this cannot be missed. You have to go. Anyway, back to the drink that I ordered. From reading reviews, this is how I found out about the deconstructed pina colada, because I didn't see it on the drink menu. I'm still dreaming about my drink, almost a month post-vacation. 🤣😂 This deconstructed pina colada is everything!! OMG. The goat cheese sauce (?) that comes on the side with the pina colada takes this drink to a whole new level. The goat cheese is sweet. This is a nice sized drink. The liquor weaves in seamlessly. My bartender gave me directions on how to drink this pina colada: take a sip of your drink, dip your tongue into the goat cheese and then take another sip of your drink and enjoy!! I need to go back to Miami just to order another one!! I ran out of goat cheese before I could finish my drink, so I asked for another serving and my bartender brought me more. If you don’t see this on the drink menu, ask your bartender about it. You won't be disappointed. 🥰😍🤩“

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

“It's a damn good thing I had other plans ... I could have stayed all weekend! My wife and I where there Friday the 13th. It came recommended by a patron at another bar, and he said we would like it. He was wrong ... we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! This was definitely my kind of dive! The bartenderess (I am ssssoooo sorry I don't remember the name, I want to say Amanda, I am hard of hearing and it was a long day) came up to us, took our drink order, brought our drinks, and then asked us typical bartender questions (where ya from? What brings you here? Etc) when she found out it was our honeymoon, she genuinely congratulated us and bought us a drink. We stayed for about an hour or two, and when we were leaving we asked if we could take a couple of clean drink coasters for our bar at home. She hooked us up! She is an amazing and fun bartender and the bar itself, can't wait to get back to spend more time there! ACES TO THE DUECE!“

“We enjoyed Alma Cubana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was vibrant, and our server was amazing. One minor complaint: I had chosen Alma Cubana bcs it supposedly had a lot of gluten free options. It did not. I was able to get a rice dish with shrimp and plantains, so it worked out, but it was still disappointing that I either accidentally picked the wrong restaurant in my search or that the gluten-free options are no longer available.“

“Yesterday I was in for brunch. The food has always been amazing and Angela is a top tier bartender. I’ve been back several times for the food and friendly staff. The atmosphere was disrupted yesterday by the manager who cornered a young employee and literally cursed him in front of guests and other employees. It was so unprofessional and uncomfortable and disrespectful. Otherwise, again, the food is great and the servers staff are really friendly.

Just don’t like bullies.“
