“When you’re invited to a private event at a restaurant that feels like it’s been tailored just for you, expectations are high. But at Tony and Lisa Damiano’s Counter Culture Beachside, those expectations were not only met—they were exceeded in every possible way. For a special celebration with 22 of our closest neighborhood friends, the Damiano's transformed their beloved restaurant into a culinary haven where each dish felt like a personal invitation to indulge. Appetizers: A Perfect Start: The evening began with an array of appetizers that set the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. The flatbreads and pizzas were wonderfully crisp, each bite bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The eggplant caponata was the ideal balance of savory and slightly tangy, while the burrata with roasted Campari tomatoes was a creamy, decadent bite that paired perfectly with the sweetness of the tomatoes - a personal favorite with the prosciutto with basil pesto drizzle—it was a simple, yet refined dish that left you craving more. Entrees: A Feast of Flavors: When it came time for the main course, the buffet was a beautiful spread of rich, mouthwatering dishes. The grass-fed filet mignon with a black truffle demi-glace was an absolute standout. Perfectly cooked, the beef melted in your mouth, and the truffle demi-glace added a luxurious depth of flavor that felt indulgent yet balanced. The roasted potato pie was an unexpected delight, golden and crispy on the outside, with a comforting, creamy center that complemented every bite. Another showstopper was the Florida grouper with toasted hazelnut crust, finished with a roasted garlic and Prosecco beurre blanc that was light but full of flavor. The delicate fish was cooked to perfection, with the nuttiness of the hazelnut crust providing a satisfying contrast. For pasta lovers, the rigatoni with shrimp, roasted peppers, artichoke hearts, and feta was a beautiful dish. The shrimp was succulent, the pasta perfectly al dente, and the basil pesto drizzle tied everything together in a fragrant, herbaceous finish. The chicken piccata was also spot on, with the caper butter sauce brightening the richness of the tender chicken, and the lobster ravioli in a basil pesto crema was a decadent treat—silky ravioli filled with lobster, drenched in a creamy, fragrant basil pesto that was simply irresistible. Desserts: Vegan Perfection: As the evening wound down, Chef Lisa took over with a selection of vegan desserts that truly impressed. Each dessert was crafted with care and attention to detail, demonstrating that plant-based options can be just as luxurious and satisfying. The desserts were light yet indulgent, and you could tell that Chef Lisa’s love for both the ingredients and the craft shone through in every bite. The Experience: A Night to Remember From the first bite of appetizer to the last sweet morsel of dessert, Tony and Lisa Damiano’s Counter Culture Beachside was a truly special experience. The restaurant’s intimate setting, coupled with the personal touches from the Damianos, created an atmosphere that felt both relaxed and elegant. It’s clear that both chefs bring a level of passion and expertise that transforms dining into something extraordinary. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an exceptional meal, this restaurant delivers an experience that’s as memorable as it is delicious. We left the evening full, satisfied, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!“

“We had yet another great experience dining at Tradewinds 41, this time we brought in a larger group, and everything from the service to the food was amazing. Greg took excellent care of us throughout the night, he was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The managers were also very present, stopping by to check in and making sure everything was running smoothly, and were great to chat to, which really elevated the experience. We started with a variety of appetizers and honestly couldn’t pick a favorite. They have a new octopus appetizer and it's so good! It had a perfect texture with just the right amount of spice, the chipotle flavor is my new favorite, and the tuna ceviche had a great balance of flavors with a subtle coconut hint. The beef tartare was flavorful, well-textured, and a generous portion, and the lobster tempura was a big hit as well. For entrees, everything continued to impress. The snapper with coconut turmeric sauce was incredible, again. It is my favorite, and the sauce is so good I could have had a bowl of it, I always ask for an extra side. I don't have a nice photo of it because I immediately slathered it in the coco sauce and started inhaling it. My husband had the wood-grilled lobster and it was perfectly done, and the warm potato salad was so good, I asked to try a bite and ended up taking four more bites when he wasn't looking. One of our friends had the salmon, it was beautifully prepared with a great sauce, and the zucchini noodles were cooked perfectly, she couldn't stop raving about it. The scallops were another highlight, especially paired with the eel butter and serrano peppers, our guest loved them so much, I think I'll order them next time! The blackened mahi sandwich was also a favorite, two in our group ordered it, and the huge portion and perfectly seasoned fish was something they said they want to come back specifically for. We finished with dessert, and both options were fantastic. The lava cake with gelato and marshmallows was the greatest ever, and our friends said the lavender crème brûlée had just the right amount of lavender without being overpowering. I've never seen dessert disappear so fast from a group of allegedly "full" people. Overall, a fantastic night with great food, great service, and a team that clearly cares about the guest experience. We’ll definitely be back again!“

“My friend and I had lunch at Waldo’s while in town and were so happy to have Heidi serving us, as she was our server 2 years ago when we were in Vero. She makes dining so fun ( and the table beside us agreed) and she is so knowledgeable. She suggested lunch items that were away from my norm, but she was spot on.“

“Maison Martinique Restaurant- Vero Beach-3.5-Stars "Too many people eat just to consume calories. Try dining for a change." -- J. Walters Located within the luxurious Caribbean Court Boutique Resort is where one will find Maison Martinique. This almost hidden gem offers al fresco dining as well as three dining rooms within, so grabbing a table should not be a problem. However, as it is situated within the aforementioned Resort, calling ahead for a reservation wouldn't be a bad idea. As I did not, I was thankful for the ample seating and was lead to a vacant table almost immediately. Perusing the menu, I must say that I was highly impressed with the offerings and could only hope they tasted as good as they read. Suddenly, an odd idea popped into my head. Why not order all the specials off the menu today instead of flinging darts and ordering what they land on? As soon as I had this thought, my server, Aubrey appeared table side and inquired as to my readiness to order. I let it be known that I was indeed ready and asked for a Glenlivet neat*(side o'rocks) to get the ball rolling and then the specials of the day. Aubrey told me I couldn't go wrong with that choice and to that end put in an order for Curry Lamb Soup, one Goat Cheese Bake and one Bombay Sapphire Martini to wash it all down. Aubrey soon returned with my Scotch and what a Scotch it was. Just look at that picture. That had to be a 3.5 oz pour or I'm not the Big Boy (love you, Aubrey)!! I was about halfway through the Single Malt Nectar of the Gods when Aubrey set my food before me. Take a minute and glance at the rest of the pictures. As one can see, the presentation was stunning. If the food was as good as it read, looked and smelled I was in for yet another gastronomical treat in the burgeoning haute cuisine scene of Vero Beach. Let the festivities begin! I was told by a chef in Vero Beach that the bread should set the standard for the rest of the meal as it is the first sampling from the kitchen the customer experiences. This bread, as one can clearly see, was indeed baked on site. However, I have a sneaky feeling (due to taste and consistency) that is was baked from pre-made, frozen dough. While it tasted fine, it didn't hit the table running, so to speak. So far, so meh. As I could smell the curry lightly wafting up from the soup bowl, I hungrily procured my spoon and dove in. With what I assumed were red lentils(?) and USDA prime chunks of lamb, this not only jumped over the bar set by the bread but obliterated it in the process. The curry was perfectly proportioned and in no way overwhelmed the lamb. The lamb was so tender it almost melted on the palate like so much lamb flavored butter. This dish alone is 5 stars all day, every day. Moving on to the Goat Cheese Bake, I couldn't help sneak a last smell of the soup before trading in my spoon for a fork. The Goat cheese is broiled first, then baked on a fresh crostini that was crispy and chewy. The delicious red sauce added deep rich flavor to the divinely lightly crusted goat cheese. I could eat this every night. The accompanying Lobster and Scallop baked rice was soft and flavorful, though I could swear that the seafood rested too long and slightly killed the dish. The asparagus, while cooked to veggie perfection, lacked enough seasoning. The Bombay Sapphire Martini sans blue cheese stuffed olives was still delightful and just as heavy as the Glenlivet. As I mentioned at the start, this is the first time I have ever spurned the menu to order all specials. As such, I have to give credit where credit is due and all in all this kitchen crew knows what they are doing and sling forth some excellent chow. However, with the bread being the bread that it was and the seafood over rested, I stand firmly behind my 3.5 Star rating. The Big Boy says, "For a strong drink and a Goat Cheese Bake you can eat all day, call up and reserve a table at Maison Martinique." #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout“

“Met some of the family that owns this fantastic restaurant on Saturday night. We had a date night and dinner at the intimate small bar with Cullen (bartender). We started by sharing a bowl of Sebastian Stew one of their all-time favorite most popular dishes. Then hubby had a bacon burger and I had the stacked delicious pork sandwich with bacon, coleslaw & much more. I tried the collaboration beer made by Dogfish (Grateful Dead pale ale) which was on tap. Hubby had bottled Coors light. Bartender very friendly and attentive and proud of his family restaurant- Rightly so!! Highly recommend…“

“After living in Vero Beach for nearly 3 years I really REGRET not coming here sooner. The food is absolutely sublime! The atmosphere for a date night was just perfect. After a long day of preparation for Easter for 3 daughters we needed a moment for us, before the next days celebration. We had the back room to ourselves and it was just perfect. I just had to say, my husband loves to cook for me, especially short ribs and a beautiful brown sauce and he is amazing at it. Well, this blew him and I both away. Also, the skewers were something out of this world. There is an article about them in Vero Mag. This place is a secret we want to keep to ourselves but a place with this much talent is meant to be celebrated. Ohhh and the Short Rib Rangoons! Thank you curfew for giving to very busy parents a couple hours to just connect and enjoy a wonderful place. We cannot wait to come back again. We had Short Rib Rangoon, Bubbly Crab & Artichoke Dip, steak skewer, Deviled Eggs, & a main Short Rib, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Vegetables, Curfew Gravy.“

“🧜♀️✨ Raving Recommendation: The Kilted Mermaid ✨🧜♀️ If you’re looking for a place that actually embodies community, inclusivity, good vibes, and zero tolerance for bigotry — get yourself to The Kilted Mermaid in Vero Beach. 🌈🍻 This isn’t just a bar. It’s a safe haven, a local treasure, and a technicolor rebellion against hate in heels and a kilt. Drag shows? Yes. Live music? Yes. Eclectic art? Yes. Raging moral panic? Not welcome. While certain folks (cough Jennifer Pippin cough) are busy pearl-clutching and falsely accusing Kilted Mermaid of corrupting the youth, the rest of us are having a blast supporting small business, celebrating queer joy, and drinking craft beer with glitter in our souls. 💃 The performances are electric. 🧀 The food? Next-level grilled cheese. 🎭 The crowd? Diverse, friendly, and fiercely supportive. The Kilted Mermaid is what Florida should be — weird, welcoming, and full of heart. So whether you’re there for drag brunch, live jazz, or just to stick it to the pearl-clutching hypocrisy machine — we fully recommend it, fruit and all. 🍓🫐🍊 #FloridaFruitLoopApproved #KiltedMermaidMagic #SupportLocalLoveLoud #SatireSassAndSunshine #DragIsNotTheDanger #GoodVibesOnlyVero“

“Had the best little work-lunch escape at La Tabla on Royal Palm Pointe today and I can’t stop thinking about it. Such good vibes, and the food was next-level fresh. I had the ahi poke bowl (so good!) and this super refreshing avocado cucumber dill gazpacho that honestly surprised me — light, healthy, and full of flavor. What made it even better was that the owner, Santiago, took our order. He’s from Argentina and was just the kindest, most genuine person — the kind of hospitality that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left. You can really feel the love and care they pour into the place. If you’re ever in Vero and craving something fresh and healthy, definitely go check them out. 🌿 I’m already daydreaming about a possible La Tabla x surfboard collab someday… how rad would that be? 🏄♀️🎨“

The bartender was amazing and I feel like a total POS for forgetting her name because she made the whole experience phenomenal. I’m serious top-tier service. This was April 15th at night, so whoever was behind the bar deserves some real kudos.
Also… the two “antelope” at the bar had me dying 😂 Not sure if they’re supposed to be antelope or giraffes, but either way they’re hilarious.
