“I used to visit the Vons on Pensacola street...this Korean Fried Chicken (kfc) shop is one of the originals in hawaii. Meaning before the Korean chicken popularity came to hawaii...they were one of the first.

Since I was nearby I decided to visit this location. Menu is slightly different, ex #4 was boneless chicken and fries. The other location only had boneless chicken plates. Anyways, got #4 with shoyu boneless chicken, it's my favorite. I have friends that enjoy the bone in chickens. It's up to you.

The shop is small, I'm assuming during the week most will buy to-go. What's interesting is they have a restaurant in restaurant. Apparently a small sign on the side says J & J with a menu of 5 plates for $10.99 to $15.99.

Regardless, service was nice and friendly. No issues while I ordered and wait.“

“Every once in awhile I need fried chicken and this is the best I've found on Oahu. Vons is far and away superior to itchy butt and this particular location somehow has yummier chicken than the Pensacola spot. Always get two half orders: spicy Korean and either shoyu or garlic. Impeccable. I live nearby, so takeout stays fresh and they're ready time is accurate. Guy at the register/on the phone speaks English perfectly. My two half orders (20 wings/drummies) came out to about $35, which isn't cheap, but the size of the pieces and quality justify the price tag--you could easily find $40 meals that aren't half as satisfying. I've never eaten at the little food court it's at inside Palama Market but there's a little like coffee shop right at the entrance that sells waffles until 5:30--a perfect pairing if only I would've gotten there 15 minutes earlier!!“

Either way, their chicken is the best in Hawaii! The restaurant is always clean, the portions are generous for the price, and I think it’s a great value. I got a cab into the closest supermarket which had the pizza hut nearby.l ordered a taxi to return to my hotel which after an hour and a half finally arrived. I was very stressed out and scared as it was getting on dusk,l was so tired and ready to lose my shit after being approached by someone asking for a few dollars. I got asked by a few delivery drivers who noticed I'd been waiting for a long if I was okay, and if l needed help. “Pizza hut has always been one of my favorite places whenever I don't feel like cooking or just a quiet bite because I love their personal pan pizza. It is just the right size for 1 person and you cannot beat the price for 4 awesome pieces of a pan made personal size pizza. I think Anyone born between the 60s 70s & 80s bought Pizza Hut because there weren't many other options except for a few small pizza places that many different last verl long bcuz they really couldn't complete with Pizza Huts prices and most didn't deliver like pizza hut did. I also believe Pizza Hut is the forefront for the other Pizza companies to start up in Hawaii almost copying how Pizza Hut ran their business. I can't say 100 percent that it is the case but I believe it is true in my opinion. There is only one company that has been hanging in there but still cannot compete against the taste Pizza Hut puts out. I have only one question, why did Pizza Hut shut down most of the many dine in restaurants around Oahu? I used to love their salad bar lunches or brunches all you can eat salad bars. I know many sports teams would go during this special and the all you can eat brunch salad bar specials and just devour everything in sight. This salad bar had so many different entrees on that bar ß⁴⁴⁴⁴⅘ there were nothing left for the other customers which to me they knew what they were doing when choosing to do this at that specific time and specials . To me when the team ups and others abused this special on a regular basis it ruined it for everyone to enjoy and it wasn't only Pizza Hut that ran into this problem. But whoever I'm the company put into action maybe they should have added rules to that specific problem and should have foreseen that sooner than later someone or high schools & college athletic sports teams and their coaches "Only as an example" would abuse this awesome new way of family dining at a reasonable price to go with it that they also should have considered“
