“Alina was wonderful she was extremely knowledgeable and every cup of coffee was so smooth I had the cherry blast and it was super smooth not to sweet perfect balance and for those who don’t like strong coffee it’s a great option. My husband had the Cafe Borgia and omg that was the best espresso I’ve had in a long time super smooth just the right hint of chocolate. The atmosphere was so nice she had games and she’s very friendly to talk to so we felt very welcomed. Alina also offered us pastries to try they were so good we really liked the cinnamon pastry it tasted like a a churro it was so soft moist and delicious 🤤 we also tried the lemon pastry wow it was so good we are not from this area but we are happy we got to meet Alina and try her wonderful coffee 10/10 recommend“

“I just had the lovely experience sitting with a family friend for coffee. I got a lavender bloom and it was by far the best coffee I’ve ever had. I love coffee. It tasted like coffee and the perfect amount of sweet. If you know you know. There were rocking chairs on the porch that were occupied when I arrived but the back seating was intimate and comfy. The walls are lined with local artist exhibits for sale. I have my eyes on one that I plan to purchase when I come back. I look forward to buying more delicious coffee and to see what new Art is displayed. This place gets it. A part of the reemergence if you will. I wish for this place to stay authentic and hope they get just enough business but not too much if you know what I mean. It is a diamond in the rough. It needs to be beloved and protected. “I come here because they do pour-overs. Really Good pour-overs. (If they're busy, multi-tasking staff may miss the correcting timing so the extractions are suboptimal and may alter the taste in the negative.) But still a great coffee - I'm nitpicking.

I enjoy this more than the other places in Libertyville because the barista's really know their products - every one I've talked with has been able to discuss each coffee with knowledge that helps me learn. And oh so friendly, nice people who work there.

Pastry choices are limited, so-so in taste, and too sugary for me (donuts, muffins) They could use some nice croissants, chocolate croissants, morning buns, etc. If they partnered with Hewn Bakery it would be perfect. (I will often get coffee to go, and bring my own Hewn to eat outside at the benches.)“

“We live locally but did not realize this place existed until tonight. Wow! What a whimsical and wonderful slice of heaven. The energy, creativity, and uninterrupted space to be authentic without judgment. We enjoyed listening to several talented young artists freely perform and enjoy their music. We were so lucky to be part of the audience tonight. The owner, Alex, is one in a million—such a zen space. We enjoyed our coffee and tea and appreciated the love that went into it. “I just went there to have a meeting with a coworker and absolutely loved the service and the atmosphere. The empanada was still frozen when they served it to me but the server was so kind and gentle and immediately gave me another one that was well cooked and didn’t charge me for the wait and inconvenience. I call that consideration and good business practice! Will be back again!!“

The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. “Delicious boba tea! I had the Coconut milk tea with boba and my husband had the mango fruit with boba. This was our first time here! It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! “Came in today for a coffee to see a man being an absolute idiot to the girl behind the counter.
This man sat there and nit picked everything she was doing.
He proceeded to nit pick how the machine brewed espresso and that he wanted his coffee exactly 118 degrees.
