“Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. I really wanted to have Japanese food (specifically Onigiri) for a Studio Ghibli-themed baby shower, and reached out to several local restaurants. Ekiben was by far the most responsive and fairly priced!

“The first time we came here we loved the entire experience including the service. The second time we brought friends and the food was just as good, but it was significantly busier and it was clear that the staff were not able to keep up. Rarely was our table bussed and glasses of wine took ~ 15 minutes. Fortunately they comped the late glasses of wine and as mentioned- food was great and it did arrive/spaced out as it should have. I hope they continue to do well, but I also hope they figure out the service situation. We will definitely be back again!“

“This was a wildly delicious meal. Inventive but also traditional. The food itself was the star, but every other aspect of the meal was also great. It felt like a dinner party at friend’s house. The atmosphere was convivial with the chef explaining the food and answering questions from the diners with everyone in the room being able to hear. The single waiter, Jose, was also a delight. I would return here in a heartbeat despite the price tag.“

“Rock Wrap & Roll absolutely deserves 5 stars. The crab Rangoon is on a whole different level—super crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy and flavorful on the inside, and you can actually taste the crab, not just cream cheese. It’s the kind of appetizer you think you’ll share, then end up keeping for yourself. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast, and the staff was really friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back, and I’m ordering the crab Rangoon every single time.“

“loved it here! stopped in for lunch and had some of the best sushi i’ve had in the city, definitely get the brussel sprouts to share as well. they have children’s options as well, which I haven’t seen at a sushi restaurant before! the menu is very easy to understand and it clarifies whether or not something is raw and being pregnant and not a complete pro at what’s what, I found that very helpful. atmosphere was great and the music was perfect. our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks and I found the entire place to be very accommodating to children while also keeping an adult vibe. prices were reasonable and rolls tasted fresh! we will definitely be back.“

“we ordered miso soup, house salad, shrimp tempura, and a chicken teriyaki single. All of the food was delicious. The Chicken teriyaki was a little dry for my taste but thats because i love fries with my ketchup like i like chicken with my teriyaki sauce! so this comment is not meant to be a negative comment. It’s more meant to be descriptive. The shrimp tempura’s breading is more corse than other places but again definitely not a negative. just describing. My favorite part though is what is shown in the picture! THANK YOU for the note! I loved it!!!!“
