“Ive been to 3 Omakases one of which was in Japan.

All were really really great but Kyoten Next Door was phenomenal. I not only left full (rarity for me 🫄🏻) but each course was unexplainably good and chef Jorge was funny, kind, and knowledgeable!

Definitely worth the money for the service and food you get. Finding the location was iffy at first because there’s no signs or anything and it looks like it’s abandoned but once you get in it’s super super nice and cozy.

“We did the omakase experience. Overall quite good, the fish was very good and high quality. The wasabi level on the pieces was inconsistent, mostly very pleasant but at times overpowering. We weren't a fan of the uni/roe course but that is of course personal preference (however as a big fan of uni i was slightly disappointed). Overall very good and attentive service. The tuna pieces were OUTSTANDING.“

I really wanted to have Japanese food (specifically Onigiri) for a Studio Ghibli-themed baby shower, and reached out to several local restaurants. Ekiben was by far the most responsive and fairly priced!

“I dined at Neko Sushi and tried their tuna and avocado fried rolls, and they are the reason I’ve already been back three times in the past two weeks since finding this neighborhood gem. My fiancé ordered the shrimp in a blanket and they were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I had the ramen both times and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. Neko Sushi has quickly become one of our favorites. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently fresh and tasty. Oh and they are BYOB!“

“From the first sip of the miso soup, I knew we were in for a treat. Easily one of the best I've had! The house salad was very fresh and vibrant. Don't miss out on the deluxe rolls. Not only did they arrive beautifully presented, but each bite was truly a sushi lover's dream 😋. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. “Delicious food and amazing staff! A few friends and I came in on a Saturday night for sushi and Thai food, and we were promptly greeted by the friendly staff. I enjoyed a warm cup of miso soup and crab rangoon to start—some of the best crab rangoon I’ve had! I ordered the Smashing Pumpkins roll, and it did not disappoint. The fresh, savory flavors of black rice with eel, creamy avocado, slightly sweet pumpkin and bright pops of texture from the tobiko complemented each other perfectly. My friend had the jungle curry with chicken which was perfectly spicy. We enjoyed the lovely jazz-esque playlist, cozy ambiance, and lovely people. I love that they offer creative rolls you can’t find everywhere, and we will definitely be back to try more!“

“loved it here! stopped in for lunch and had some of the best sushi i’ve had in the city, definitely get the brussel sprouts to share as well. they have children’s options as well, which I haven’t seen at a sushi restaurant before! the menu is very easy to understand and it clarifies whether or not something is raw and being pregnant and not a complete pro at what’s what, I found that very helpful. atmosphere was great and the music was perfect. our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks and I found the entire place to be very accommodating to children while also keeping an adult vibe. prices were reasonable and rolls tasted fresh! we will definitely be back.“

The Chicken teriyaki was a little dry for my taste but thats because i love fries with my ketchup like i like chicken with my teriyaki sauce! so this comment is not meant to be a negative comment. It’s more meant to be descriptive. The shrimp tempura’s breading is more corse than other places but again definitely not a negative. just describing.
