Wow what a selection. I purchased a chocolate cupcake, two love pucks, cinnamon rolls, poppy lemon bread, baguette, and aNutella sandwich cookie. Everything was really delicious. “Macaron Bar is a delight! Oh my, the treats are spectacular. Try the pistachio, earl grey, dark chocolate, and coffee especially - absolutely delicious. The texture of the macaron is also stunningly perfect- so hard to achieve, yet they nail it. They are little works of art. We met Sam who works there and she was so sweet to me and my son. The recipes are unique to this restaurant. We have eaten at other Ethiopian restaurants. They do not even register next to this one. The Proprietor is SOOOOO nice. And, ask him what brought him to the United States. It's an emotionally moving story. If you haven't had Ethiopian cuisine before, it is NOT scary. There are hardy vegetarian and meatatarian dishes. So, there's something for everyone. And, the dishes that are spicy are mild. So, don't worry about your sensitive belly. The meal is a SHARED experience. So, make sure you bring friends. We usually buy 20+ cheesecakes for our friends and neighbors, and the service is always wonderful. Rosa, the store manager, was always especially kind and helpful during our visits.
