“We had a wonderful dinner at Prairie Grass Cafe. The spring rolls were loaded with delicious perfectly cooked shrimp and the accompanying sauce (sweet chili with garlic and cilantro) plays nicely with them. The flounder with roasted carrots and parsnip-potato purée was as delicious as it looks. It was generously portioned and beautifully plated. We also enjoyed the mussels with parsley, shallots, and breadcrumbs pasta. My husband is Sicilian and it reminded us of the pasta con le sarde that we love to have in Sicily. The mussels were plump and delicious. The wine list is very nice. We found wines we really enjoyed and they were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Attems, Pinot Grigio, Friuli, Italy ‘22 with our mussels and flounder, and the Fritz Haag, Riesling, Germany ‘21 with our pumpkin pie for dessert. Service was perfect.“

“Had dinner last night. We had an excellent server named Carly. She was extremely friendly and answered our questions. She came back to the table several times to check on us.
It was refreshing to dine out and be treated so nicely.
We also chatted with Patrick the manager who we talked with each time we have been to FatPour and he is an absolute sweetheart too.
All in all good experience and we will return!

“I just hosted my wedding at Chief O’Neill’s on Saturday and it could not have been more perfect. Siobhan and her team took amazing care of us! The venue is stunning, the food is phenomenal, and every one of our guests was gushing about how impressed they were by everything! The back beer garden is so magical, you would have thought we spent tens of thousands of dollars to dress it up, but we didn’t need to. The service is excellent... the wait staff, bartenders and bus boys were attentive, quick and knowledgeable. Everything I've ever had here is great. But it is not inexpensive! One of our favorite dishes is the cauliflower... but it is $24! My friend ordered the octopus, which was perfectly cooked and came with crispy chickpeas and potatoes. So good! “Service was slow and someone in our party never received their food because of some “mix up.” Not sure if the mistake was made by the server or in the kitchen. The manager came by and had the kitchen prepare it and said we wouldn't be charged. At that point, the rest of the party was pretty much done eating so we took it to go. When we got the check, the meal was not taken off the bill and it took some time getting that resolved. But the food we did receive tasted great. Could have been an “off” night so we plan to give it another try.“

“We have discovered this place 3 years ago when we are searching for an outdoor casual dining. What we found was a great place that had outdoor seating on a deck patio with umbrellas and a TV set to watch sporting events. The service was friendly, and the food was great. The drinks were very reasonable. The menu was large having everything from sandwiches to dinners. We never had a bad experience there and brought family and friends to enjoy the evening sitting outside. We always come back.“

“Greetings my Foodzies, tonight we decided to try a restaurant that we have passed by numerous times. The great escape on Irving at 9540 w Irving Park rd. in Schiller Park.
This is a unique restaurant that has been around for years. The property has a rich history (see the picture I have posted with the story).
The restaurant’s bar area is very rustic with a bar that was hand carved in 1889, very impressive. TVs have been added to draw in a people who want to eat and have a drink while watching TV. Also a gaming section in the bar area.
Music is old school 50-60s, our server Mareen was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable.
We started with Grilled Calamari it was grilled nicely but could have used a few more seconds to get a little more char flavor. It was also missing the signature balsamic. Glenda chose the Rigatoni in Vodka sauce with chicken; the chicken was scarce and the sauce was not the traditional sauce it had an odd flavor, not terrible but not what we expected. With a cup of lentil soup, tasty but needed a little extra salt. I chose the baby back ribs and broasted chicken (these dishes they are known for) the chicken was very good, crispy skin and very juicy. The ribs were tender but a little dry. The BBQ sauce was the recipe is the recipe of the owner’s grandfather. It was a Kansas City type sweet sauce with a nice smoky flavor (as a first time patron we were given a bottle to take home). I had the baked French onion soup topped with mozzarella, I’m used to Gruyere, Swiss, or Gouda but ut was very good.
I give this restaurant 4 stars, let me know what you think. Ciao, Ciao for now.“

“I’ve been coming to this bar/restaurant for years and never had a bad experience. I hosted my birthday party this past weekend and our server Deanna was the absolute best! She was attentive, efficient, and friendly. She accommodated a party of 15 and made it look easy. We never had to look for her because she was constantly making her rounds and checking on us. I couldn’t be happier with our experience and it made my birthday one to remember. We will definitely be back!“
