I misunderstood an ad about them having B&G all day when it wasn't supposed to be until 10, but someone from the kitchen came up and said she'd make it for me anyway! “A very cozy place with an ordering counter and a sit-down dining room if you're sticking around. Despite the counter service, the staff was lovely, welcoming, and attentive. They brought fresh bread to the table, unfortunately with a small to-go cup with a small drizzle of olive oil and another of pre-grated parm. A slightly more generous cup of olive oil would have been nice. The carbonara pasta would have been good off the bat if they had properly seasoned it, but some of the extra parm and a generous dose of black pepper got it there in the end. The pizza was the star of the night. Chewy dough with really good gluten development, very nice sauce that was balanced and a nice contrast to the cheese, and quality toppings that weren't too much or too little. Was very tempted by the cannoli in the case, but I will leave it to others to try as I was stuffed. Could be a great place but needs to tighten it up a bit. Would try again though if just for pizza and to try that cannoli.”

Egg drop soup was excellent. Best I've had yet. Chicken satay was fine - not the best but better than most. Forgot what my main dish was. Overall good - not my first choice for Asian/Thai.”

I decided on ole reliable Olive Garden as I wanted a salad and something more but not break my pocketbook.

I knew a couple of my favorites are always available but took a chance on Steak Gargonzola Alfredo. While I'm not a blue cheese fan, and the wonderful waitress (Katy?) cautioned me that it is a strong blue cheese, I decided to try something different. You only go around once in life...

Started out with the salad and extra dressing, and of course, bread sticks with butter on the side. Lately I do drink water with a lot of lemon, and she didn't disappoint.

Then came the main event. As I like to sample things and get a taste of it all, I cut up the steak bites into smaller pieces so I would have a price of meat with each batch of Alfredo, and...

It WAS VERY GOOD!

Great service.

Plenty of salad and bread sticks.

Water refilled before I ran out.

And, the entrée was excellent.

In the future I would suggest a tad more Alfredo sauce and a little more spinach BUT I am stuffed, satisfied and relaxed.

“I ordered carryout! The food was good, and fresh. I've been coming here for about a month now, and everything has been good. On this recent visit, the cashier decided to put a tip on my bill that I didn't authorize. I was looking at my receipt and the cashier said it was an accident and she tried to take it off. I don't believe it not one bit, because she wasn't going to say anything until I spotted it. I always tip, so I let it go. I don't like the fact that she put a tip in the amount she wanted, and didn't ask fist. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!”

The person who took my order prior to the holiday was so nice and made sure they hadn’t over committed on carry out orders for that day. When we picked up, it was ready, the folks working were so friendly and they even carried it out to the car for us! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Only suggestion is to allow people to tip with a credit card. I didn’t have sufficient cash to tip the staff like I would have wanted to. They’re awesome and deserve it!”

I especially like that the buffet always offers a different dish to try which helps me decided on what I will order from the dinner menu. Food is always freshly prepared and delicious. The service is excellent and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. The servers are attentive. I highly recommend Gateway to India.”

However, when I checked my bank statement I seen the waitress tacked on an extra $4 tip for herself After we left her a $20 tip in cash on a $65.69 tab. I always write cash in the tip area of the receipt for this reason but she still did it! So watch your receipts, they have at least one dishonest waitress!!”
