My gf and I have been coming here for over a year now and its still amazing every time. “We ordered the dinner special last night. This includes an entree, fried rice and an egg roll. I got the shrimp kow, and my husband got mushroom egg foo young. The shrimp kow contained a generous amount of large shrimp and an assortment of veggies in a white sauce, which was highly seasoned. Bok choy, mushrooms,broccoli, peapods, water chestnuts,celery and adorably thinly sliced carrots. I loved it! My husband must have enjoyed the egg foo young...it's all gone! The dinner came in a black takeout container that was divided into two sections.Very nice. The shrimp egg rolls were huge and rolled very fancy! All the food was piping hot and ready for pick up in 15 minutes! The service when ordering and picking up was very courteous and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable!

They have a bar on one side, video gaming downstairs, hibachi grill on another side (might only be certain days). You can fit like 10 people in their giant booths and food was delicious. “I started going to this restaurant a year ago after picking up orders for GrubHub. The food is amazing so fresh and delicious. The knowledge personable staff is friendly, professional and prompt unlike many restaurants I've discovered that their food does not require any additional sauce because it is cooked perfectly. The manager told me how their food was cooked but after tasting it I was convinced sauce is not needed on their food as it is cooked perfectly!! I don't know any other place that can say that which is why I returned to the restaurant weekly. Please visit them soon to find out just how perfectly fresh and delicious their food is!!“

“I love noodles. I have ordered every pan fried, steamed, chow fun, mei fun, lo mein from just about every Chinese place in the DG, westmont, Woodridge, Willowbrook, Darien area. The common denominator for most of the places is how they love dumping a ton of onions in the dish with some noodles, a little bit of meat and a scant amount of other veggies. I spend more time picking the creepy little (sometimes not so little) chunks of the filler out than actually eating my precious noodles. Darien Chop Suey gives me none of the little buggers! I always order the pad see eiw and not only are there piles of glorious noodles, but they never skimp on the meat or veggies! Beautiful broccoli and mushrooms and not an onion in sight! It's so yummy. The hubs loves the sesame chicken. The egg rolls are plump and the egg drop soup is divine. Plus, they are the most affordable place in the area! Dang when did Chinese food get so expensive? Very reasonable here though. Super nice on the phone and we've ordered like a dozen times and it's always ready in twenty minutes or so. This is my favorite Chinese place. Darien Chop Suey, more like Darien Chop Yummy fo rizz!!!!“

“The owner, I believe his name is Michael, is young but VERY sharp and most importantly, he is respectful and kind. This is important in any service industry and many people much older than Michael lack being respectful and could learn a thing or two from this young man. The food is excellent. Egg Rolls were very fresh and tasty. Crab Rangoon were also fresh and very good as well. I ordered Mongolian Beef, and it was plentiful and tender. The white rice was not clumpy, well cooked, and delicious. My wife ordered shrimp fried rice and it was also delicious. Again, everything was excellent. The place is very unassuming, somewhat small, but the service was impeccable and so was the food. I hope and pray that the owner never loses his charm. Today's young generation in this country are frankly not respectful and many lack intelligence. The owner of Overseas Chinese Restaurant is way beyond his years, and he makes the restaurant worth visiting on top of having very good food.

“We have driven past this place many times. Al's Drive-in American and Chinese is such so random pairing. "Come as you are or eat in your car" is a strange slogan. This place did not disappoint; hot dogs, hamburgers, fried catfish on the American side. Fried rice and stir fry on the Chinese side. I found the fried catfish excellent. It has a cornmeal breading, and it was tender. The hot dog was boiled and has a natural casing. The stir fry was sauce was tasty but was a bit on the runny side. I would frequent this place if I lived near by. The only dinning choices are the picnic benches or the fore mentioned eating in your car.“
