“Jimoto is a great experience and excellent food. The apps and sushi are done very well. As a return customer, they are very consistent and it’s also a great dining environment.

My only comment would be about training the servers on the menu. Wasn’t sure if we had a new one last time, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but he wasn’t familiar with the different tuna types on the menu (hamachi, otoro, etc). Still top notch, would highly recommend.“

Recommend ordering on the phone in advance; at peak hours there is a wait time of about 40 minutes.

They do catering and large orders. Seems like a great option for ordering food for a party.“

“I’ve been here twice for lunch and dinner. Both times the fish was perfect. Nigiri and Sashimi that is top of its class (fresh, large portions, perfectly prepared). This is one of the best sushi spots in Chicago and the prices are more reasonable than everywhere else (local or in the city). The Nigiri/Sashimi lunch is only $16 and very large. I had 12 different cuts of fish for dinner. I will definitely be back. Great food, great service, well done! Highly recommended.“

Wheelchair accessibility: The two sets of doors into the restaurant are not automatic, but the restaurant is very wheelchair accessible otherwise, and parking in the garage below, you're able to take an elevator up easily.“

“First time trying Nobori, and I must say the Sushi was amazing. The owner Nobori was kind, friendly, and attentive. To start, we ordered edamame, and miso soup. One of the best miso soups I've had. Edamame was streaming hot, and yummy. We ordered Ramen miso soup, which was really tasty. For sushi we ordered, the Patrick roll, Galapagos roll, and sushi/sashimi combo that comes with spicy tuna rolls. For dessert we ordered green tea ice cream. All the rolls were phenomenal. We will def be back.“

My partner is gluten free and she is helpful with this and offers gluten free soy sauce which is nice and rare to find. Also.. BOGO later in the day is wonderful and for the other low star reviews about their BOGO sushi not seeming super fresh… like that’s the point? It’s BOGO so they don’t have to just throw it all away at the end of the night, so if you need it fresh just made then obviously don’t get the BOGO items lol.

“I order for delivery. The scallop shooter seemed like the scallop was somewhat blanched or something. It wasn’t the texture of raw scallop which is nice and soft. It wasn’t rubbery though so that’s good. I ordered negi hamachi maki and the fish portion is not great. Same with the unagi roll, i think I can get better makis made at another place. The salmon asparagus/cucumber appetizer was great.“

“I had been scared off from trying this for a while with the bad reviews, and I regret waiting so long. For the midwest, this is an incredibly high quality conveyor belt sushi joint. The ingredients are well sourced and the tech works seamlessly so that you can get anything on the menu within a five minute wait. I mostly ordered from the tablet vs the belt as I wanted to enjoy the many seared nigiri options fresh, and all of the seafood was excellent. The beef nigiri were not my favorite, but that isn't a surprise given the price point. I love the food, the variety of more traditional sushi options, and the fact that I can do so quickly without a whole lot of interpersonal interaction for a fast lunch.“

First of all, I hope this house stays in Chicago for a long time!! I had braised cutlassfish and salted fish, and the braised cutlassfish was particularly delicious. The altang was delicious too! I never expected to eat such delicious cutlassfish in Chicago... Thank you so much! I used to live near the ocean in Korea, but when I moved to Chicago, which is on the mainland, I had a hard time because the food didn't suit my taste, but I think I've finally found the right home. I ate it with my friends and kept saying exclamations of admiration? The owner was also very kind!! May you prosper for a long time... ???“
