“We originally planned on grabbing Mexican food at a nearby chain restaurant, but the moment we walked in, it had the same stale smell and understaffed vibe it always seems to have. So instead, we decided to try La Esperanza for the first time — and I’m so glad we did. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how clean it smelled. The space is welcoming, nicely decorated, and filled with cool decor and plants that make it feel authentic and warm. The staff was incredibly sweet and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The food? Amazing. I ordered the authentic steak tacos and a hibiscus margarita, and both were absolutely perfect. Great flavor, great portions, and really fair prices. They also have a surprisingly large kids’ menu, which is a huge plus for families. Truly a hidden gem — we’ll definitely be back!”

“We went there for a small birthday celebration and I was completely blown away. The staff especially the bar tender named Michael who took time to explain in detail the drink menu and other things he could make were amazing . the ribeye steak was one of the best I’ve had as it was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly . The atmosphere could not have been better. We ordered the cheese appetizer and it came out flaming and just beautiful. We 100% will be back.”

“Yelped for "beer" and found this hidden gem! We were so pleasantly surprised to find excellent beer selections so close to home. We sampled all of the drink options and found several to our liking. We liked the Double Primis so much, we took a 1/4 barrel home with us! We tried the Dutch Country Soft Prezel with all of the dip options; Belgian mustard, beer cheese and pimento cheese. Wow! The the beer cheese was fantastic, but the pimento cheese is to die for!! Cannot wait to go back to ask if I can buy that in bulk too! The service was excellent. We sat at the bar because who doesn't love a free show?!? They answered all of our questions and we loved their food suggestion! It was clean and had great ambiance. There's a shuffleboard table, small food menu, indoor and outdoor seating. We cannot wait to continue supporting this local brewery and tell everyone about it!”

Conversations are very easy to carry on. A very special mention I must make is that Angie is the best of the best! Dianna is second on this list. They can give as good as they take when it comes to teasing them. Ten Thumbs Up for both of them! I also like that one of the televisions carries PAWS tv. For us animal lovers this is yet another great attraction.”

“One of the Best in Elkhart! We had a large family gathering and ordered 5 pizzas from Boomerelli’s and it was great. We are fortunate to have a number of great Italian restaurants in Elkhart so to say Boomerelli’s is one of the best pizzas I’ve had is very high praise.
Thinner flakier crust than other pizza in town. The sausage had great flavor and the spices in general were good without being over done.”

“As someone local to Bendix, I received their doorstep delivery. I immediately made an espresso with their Papua New Guinea, and it was really excellent. Dark, complex with subtle fruit notes, very creamy, and quite happy. Impressively, the coffee had been roasted that very morning, as indicated by the date on the back of the bag. The inclusion of a coupon code for next time and a lanyard were lovely touches; much appreciated!”

“I give it a four just because of the expense. You’ll notice the pics of what we got. The food was great but I would say it was a touch more than I wanted to pay. Before our tip, it was $75 dollars for what you see. To be clear, we did get some extras like guacamole and a side of rice and beans. But, we didn’t get drinks, only water.

Overall, the food was good and high quality, I will probably make different entrees selections next time, cause THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THAT!”

“Great food! Stopped on the way to Chicago from Cleveland and will definitely come back again. Review of the order:

1) Carne Mixta- included a porkchop, carne asada giant piece of steak, a sausage, buttload of plantains with sauce, and refried black beans. Was amazing. The plantains were like fries soaking up the sauce and it was delicious and perfect. The refried beans were the best I've ever had. I'd order a whole bucket of it just by itself. Porkchop was my favorite meat too. Sausage was the only part I could've gone without. But disappointed the mixed meats didn't include chicken too though.

2) Deep fried corn empanadas (pastilitos)- stuffed with ground beef and potatoes. Also side of coleslaw.

3) Baleadas- like giant flour tacos with beans, egg, avocado, and cheese.

Had enough food for two meals for two people for $50 total. 10/10”

“This review is from my experience over the three times I’ve been here. I didn’t want to do three separate reviews because all three times were different. Smash burger and fries are good. The chicken strips and shrimp are good. Fried pickles are okay just a little greasy. I have also had the ribeye steak and that was really good! What I didn’t like was the wings. They are not crispy breaded wings, the skin is soft like they are baked in the oven then sauced. Great atmosphere and good service. I will be back to keep trying different things!”

“I have had good luck with this Jimmy John’s. Not every order has been perfect but nothing that has made me regret ordering. Today the delivery driver went above and beyond. I spilled my drink just inside my doorway and she stayed to help me clean it up. I’m a paraplegic so cleaning liquids on the floor can be a little tough for me. She even drove back and got me another drink after we cleaned up the one I spilled. I didn’t get her name but she definitely went above and beyond when she didn’t have to do any of it. I appreciate her help and kindness. She’s definitely a keeper.”
