“We originally planned on grabbing Mexican food at a nearby chain restaurant, but the moment we walked in, it had the same stale smell and understaffed vibe it always seems to have. So instead, we decided to try La Esperanza for the first time — and I’m so glad we did. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how clean it smelled. The space is welcoming, nicely decorated, and filled with cool decor and plants that make it feel authentic and warm. The staff was incredibly sweet and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The food? Amazing. I ordered the authentic steak tacos and a hibiscus margarita, and both were absolutely perfect. Great flavor, great portions, and really fair prices. They also have a surprisingly large kids’ menu, which is a huge plus for families. Truly a hidden gem — we’ll definitely be back!”

This place rips you off.They charge your credit card one amount.Then, after the fact they will credit that lower amount and bill you for a higher amount.Then, they never return your call.And you can't leave messages, they don't return emails.So I will handle it my own way and I will get the charges reversed.”

“We went there for a small birthday celebration and I was completely blown away. The staff especially the bar tender named Michael who took time to explain in detail the drink menu and other things he could make were amazing . the ribeye steak was one of the best I’ve had as it was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly . The atmosphere could not have been better. We ordered the cheese appetizer and it came out flaming and just beautiful. We 100% will be back.”

We ordered three entrees, all from the lighter fare menu - Lasagna and Chicken Parmigiana. I had minestrone soup, which was very good, and just what I wanted.

All of the meals were good, as well as the atmosphere. Tiramisu desert was very good as well.

“Yelped for "beer" and found this hidden gem! We were so pleasantly surprised to find excellent beer selections so close to home. We sampled all of the drink options and found several to our liking. We liked the Double Primis so much, we took a 1/4 barrel home with us! We tried the Dutch Country Soft Prezel with all of the dip options; Belgian mustard, beer cheese and pimento cheese. Wow! The the beer cheese was fantastic, but the pimento cheese is to die for!! Cannot wait to go back to ask if I can buy that in bulk too! The service was excellent. We sat at the bar because who doesn't love a free show?!? They answered all of our questions and we loved their food suggestion! It was clean and had great ambiance. There's a shuffleboard table, small food menu, indoor and outdoor seating. We cannot wait to continue supporting this local brewery and tell everyone about it!”

“Spending one night in Elkhart. Walking around stumbled into Gateway. Walked by And Larry ow er was seating outside he just said hello as I walked by. Ended my walk and I said Im going there to check it out. A wine only place, small town, makes his own wine theres si ce 2019. I went in and just said I want to tey some wine. He gave me like 3 pours on yhe house. I picked the Pinot noir which was good amd light. Then I sat outside he came over we talked about the town restaurants in the area. Just made me feel like a local and was everything you can expect from a small town, small business and a good decent person that treats his customers right. Which is why I wrote this review. Thank you Larry.”

I shared it and still had leftovers. They brought ceviche for an appetizer. This place is definitely worth the stop!”

“Bendix Coffee Roasters has become my go‑to local roaster for one reason: they deliver exceptional service and exceptional coffee, every single time. Their beans are very reasonably priced, and I love that I can order 5‑pound bags as my daily drivers for the week. Every roast I’ve tried has been consistently excellent.

As my tastes have evolved, I’ve reached out with questions and each time, one of the owners has responded with thoughtful, polite, and genuinely helpful guidance. My most recent request was a custom roast level for their Ethiopian beans. I fully expected a “sorry, we don’t do that,” but instead they simply asked that I order 5 pounds at a time and were happy to accommodate. They communicated clearly about timing and followed through exactly as promised.

Their proactive customer service is just as impressive. On one occasion, a shipment was delayed, something I hadn’t even noticed. They emailed me first, explained the situation, and credited my account with a refund without me ever having to ask. That kind of initiative is almost unheard of.

Beyond great coffee and great service, Bendix also gives back. I’ve seen them run charity sales for a local school and stay actively involved in the community. It’s clear they care about more than just business.

Between their outstanding product, their integrity, and their commitment to the community, it’s hard to imagine buying beans anywhere else.”

“One of the Best in Elkhart! We had a large family gathering and ordered 5 pizzas from Boomerelli’s and it was great. We are fortunate to have a number of great Italian restaurants in Elkhart so to say Boomerelli’s is one of the best pizzas I’ve had is very high praise.
Thinner flakier crust than other pizza in town. The sausage had great flavor and the spices in general were good without being over done.”

1) Carne Mixta- included a porkchop, carne asada giant piece of steak, a sausage, buttload of plantains with sauce, and refried black beans. Was amazing. The plantains were like fries soaking up the sauce and it was delicious and perfect. The refried beans were the best I've ever had. I'd order a whole bucket of it just by itself. Porkchop was my favorite meat too. Sausage was the only part I could've gone without. But disappointed the mixed meats didn't include chicken too though.

2) Deep fried corn empanadas (pastilitos)- stuffed with ground beef and potatoes. Also side of coleslaw.

3) Baleadas- like giant flour tacos with beans, egg, avocado, and cheese.

Had enough food for two meals for two people for $50 total. 10/10”

“We had a great experience at Wings. We came in to watch basketball. The atmosphere was so inviting. We were instantly greeted by a smiling hostess named Emersyn. She sat us immediately. She told us the specials and her recommendations. We were able to get a good deal on ice cold beer! Kimberly was our waitress. And she had such a bubbly personality and a contagious laugh. We have a little daughter and she was so sweet to her. We appreciate the friendly atmosphere, great deals and the accommodating staff.”

The chicken strips and shrimp are good. Fried pickles are okay just a little greasy. I have also had the ribeye steak and that was really good! What I didn’t like was the wings. They are not crispy breaded wings, the skin is soft like they are baked in the oven then sauced. Great atmosphere and good service. I will be back to keep trying different things!”

“I have had good luck with this Jimmy John’s. Not every order has been perfect but nothing that has made me regret ordering. Today the delivery driver went above and beyond. I spilled my drink just inside my doorway and she stayed to help me clean it up. I’m a paraplegic so cleaning liquids on the floor can be a little tough for me. She even drove back and got me another drink after we cleaned up the one I spilled. I didn’t get her name but she definitely went above and beyond when she didn’t have to do any of it. “Best Arby's ive ever been to. Managed by amazing staff. It used to have issues later at night and weekends, but they take care of the riffraff workers who dont do a good job. But better than competent staff (or at least as important), the good quality is top notch. Freshest Arby's food ive ever had, and consistently so (not just a 1 time visit), and Arby's is one of my favorite fast foods, so ive been to more than a few. Been coming here for the last 15 years, so strong record of good care fo customers and dedication to taking care of customers, staff, the facilities, and again, above all the food quality. Kudos! “LJS has been a favorite for eons. What's not to like.... fried fish and those yummy hush puppies!! I think they changed the tartar sauce, and it's even better now.

We went late last night. They were closing but still took our order. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes for our food, (Which we didn't complain about because they had a lot of stuff cleaned up already.) and the girl was soooo apologetic and very sweet!
Sorry I didn't get her name, but that's the proper way to handle a situation!!
