“From start to finish, our experience at 221 Main was absolutely flawless and truly unforgettable. We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make the occasion special. The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable. The perfect setting for a romantic dinner. The service was impeccable; our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm without being intrusive. The food, however, is the star of the show. Every dish was prepared and presented with exceptional care. We started with the spicy shrimp appetizer, which was amazing. For the main course, the ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth, and the whipped potatoes. When we were seated, we found a handwritten note on our table congratulating us on our anniversary. This personal touch showed a level of care and attention to detail that is rare to find today. Thank you, 221 Main, for an exquisite meal and for helping us create a beautiful memory. This isn't just a great meal; it's a fantastic dining experience. We are already looking forward to our next trip.“

“As one enters the Café it is a pretty average sized. A place big enough to enjoy as time slows down. Personally, I had a wonderful experience for the service was great for the way they treated me was without judgement or discrimination. Furthermore, they were very efficient for I receive my drink always within a 5-minute time span. Whether my drink be hot or cold it all depends on my mood, sometimes I just let my curiosity fly and explore the exotic drinks. The ones that seem too good to be true, only wanting to know how they taste like. When enjoying these drinks, I can't help but look around and admire the setting of the place. For I could see myself talking to my friend/s, or just trying to use the time to be productive and do some work. With how comfortable the seating it a complete place like nothing is is missing. Finally, I a place where I can say to myself “You be who you are truly are”.“

“I stopped for the first time today and I am so totally pleased!!! I am not feeling great with sinus infection and the yuckies and I ordered minestrone soup and an egg salad sandwich. I swear it was the best meal I’ve had in years. It tasted like my Mom made it for me to feel better and my face and tummy ate so happy. “We had a baby shower here last weekend and the venue was absolutely perfect for us! We had plenty of seating for everyone and it was very eclectic and cozy for everyone to chat and socialize. The stage area with our backdrop was perfect for opening gifts and taking pictures. I would definitely 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a place to rent for parties.“

“I worked at Gordon’s Grooming in the same plaza for 4 years and recently left that job, but I still try and come back for my customized frozen electric dragon when I can. I love it sour and flavorful and Cameron and Morgan ALWAYS get it right! Shoutout to Hannah (we miss you!) for originally creating this drink for me and making sure everyone always made it how I like it, to the point they had our regular orders written down so new people could make them right too.

“Chicory cafe has super chill atmosphere, and is an inviting place for a quick bite. It's good for takeout and fine for hanging out too. The food selection is influenced by New Orleans French quarter, and overall has a good selection and is tasty. The line can occasionally get long, so usually I prefer to order ahead. They have more than one location in the area.“

“Miss Trina was very friendly and helpful. She taught me how to order some of the newer drinks on the menu ☕ using modern Starbucks-ese. It's a whole different linguistic register from how we used to order them when I worked at Starbucks in South Florida back in the 90s 🌴🥥🌊🍊 and when we opened the first Starbucks in Spain in the early 2000s at Atocha-Renfe 🇪🇸. Miss Trina and I also had a great conversation about the new Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 3 🤳. Miss Beau was also great -- she made sure I had a carrier and some green spill guards for each of the drinks. And Miss Nuha was exceptionally kind and helpful, and she made some award-worthy coffee drinks for us. ¡Alucinante 💫! She even upgraded one of my drinks from a grande to a venti when it took slightly longer than usual to make. I was highly impressed with how quickly these ladies worked to make so many customers happy 🪽. If Starbucks still does Snapshots, this would be 5-star legendary service ⭐. I look forward to coming back and ordering more.“

“We have Church here on Sunday Evenings during the fall and spring semesters through The After Church. I love their worship services; the Pastor and his family are so loving and the worship services and sermons are always very uplifting and enlightening.“

“Fine version of the line of coffee bars. This one has great location across from the lovely sculpture park and offering sidewalk seating options. The dining area is large, but half empty due to social distancing constraints and therefore now feels a bit disjointed.Probably ND students working the counter and these girls were great, offering to remake any other drink if I didn't enjoy the new iced chocolate almond milk that I ordered. It was great and I didn't take them up on it, but the gesture was lovely.“

Even the first place I visit where they ask me for my name for the order, because in other Starbucks, they don't do it and the service is not good. I congratulate the cashier... “This is my go to place for coffee. I was a devout Starbucks customer but could no longer justify the price especially when the mixture of the drink would be so different each time I went. The employees here are the best, so kind, personable, and welcoming. The app is easy to use and the wait time is unbeatable I’ve never waited more than 3 minutes and thats on a busy day! The quality of the drinks are great every single time and the price is very reasonable. Love love love my Dunkin peeps!“

“I stopped by this coffee shop and tried the iced blueberry coffee with frothed vanilla half and half on top; a unique and refreshing treat that I’ll definitely be coming back for. The barista recommended his favorite drink. The flavor was just the right mix of fruity and creamy, perfect for a hot day!

What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Nathan took my order and was incredibly kind and attentive. Sophia was working hard behind the counter, quickly making drinks and keeping everything moving, even during a rush. Despite the busy atmosphere, the team handled it with professionalism and speed.

At one point, I overheard a customer mention their drink might have been made incorrectly, and the staff immediately offered to remake it; no fuss, no attitude, just great customer care. It’s clear that the team here takes pride in their work and genuinely wants every customer to leave happy.

“The last few times I been here there has been rude service (mainly the “manager”) coming from the staff working the drive thru. I to go place my order 3 times and each time got interrupted(rudely) to wait because she’s busy now (her words) and that I took so long to place my order. I’ll drive the extra distance to go to the Cass one until the Niles ones opens. They ruined it there for me.“

“This Starbucks was a pleasant surprise! It's inside of the Doubletree hotel and absolutely beautiful! My friend and I relaxed and had a nice latte, conversation, and bagels. The view was amazing and I enjoyed every single minute of our visit!“

“So… I walked into Bucktown Nutrition this morning for what I thought would be a quick protein shake run. As soon as I stepped in, the lights flickered and the exact smell of rain on asphalt after a 1997 summer storm hit me in the face. The guy behind the counter (I think his name tag said “Lee,” but the “L” was backwards??) handed me a menu printed entirely in Wingdings font and just whispered, “choose carefully.” I asked for a strawberry-banana smoothie, but he slid me this glowing, teal drink in a mason jar shaped like a jellyfish. He said it was “limited edition” and made from “cloud extract.” I took a sip and instantly remembered the birthdays of every kid in my second-grade class. Then — and I swear I’m not making this up — a raccoon in a tiny Bucktown Nutrition apron waddled out from the back holding a mini clipboard, stared me dead in the eyes, and wrote down something before leaving through the employees only door. I paid with a $10 bill, and Lee handed me a receipt for three and a half bushels of corn. I walked out feeling slightly taller. It’s been four hours, and my left shoe keeps squeaking the Jeopardy! theme song. 10/10 would recommend.“

“I don't like the awkward waiting area up by the counter. It's weird to have tables that people can't get up from easily because there's always a wall of people blocking them in. It's also weird to sip your coffee and chat while stranger's butts are in your face.“
