“Mike and I eat or takeout, almost every weekend, from Al Noor. The Owner/Cook and his family are very nice people. I am addicted to the Lobster Masala, especially when he adds shrimp (Seafood Masala) cooked in the delicious mushroom sauce. Mike doesn't eat seafood so he is hooked on their Chicken Tikka Masala, (it was the 1st thing I tried and feel in love with the dish also). I absolutely love this place, it's a clean, small but intimate spot with a convenient location. I would go to Sally's for hair products, get my nails done, eat at Al Noors and go to Walmart. Not always in that order. I never leave reviews but I had to, finally, share this place with you guys. Oh and don't forget the Garlic Buttered Nan!”

But I asked an employee, Maddie, who turned out to be the manager, if there was anything that could be done. She checked with the kitchen and my son was able to get a fried avocado taco along with a bean and cheese one. She went above and beyond when she could easily said sorry (because the place was packed!!. And we had such a great experience thanks to Maddie”

Parking was easy, as we came upon the location nestled alongside a Hooters. Tall wooden doors open to a very nicely decored bar room. Darkly tone wood accents with bar or lounge seating. We choose the bar, as it is my habit to strike up conversations with the mixologists and learn about the establishment. 5 stars go to Brian, who was willing to engage my questions and then 3 mixology challenges. Classic black & white movies play on monitors over the bar tv. Fellow bar patrons were excellent conversation and an opportunity to wish them a happy birthday. Brian and Hayride Scandal made up for a great Saturday evening. Highly recommend this locale for all!”

It was a horrible day until the nicest server/waitress I have ever had sat us down. She couldn’t have known what we were going through or how much she brightened our day. She was pregnant, I know that. Otherwise I don’t remember her name. One of those days I guess. She just had this light about her and when she smiled Everything seemed a little better. I think God put her there at that moment. Hopefully she will be there the next time we go. But if not I was posting this to tell her thankyou for being you. And good luck with your pregnancy. “A friend referred me to Stone and Cloth last year, when I told her I was looking for a new stone for my breakfast table. My mother and I walked into their shop pre-lockdown and were warmly welcomed by Kelly Kirby. She gave me great suggestions for a replacement stone and a list of the Stone Distributors in town to search for my desired slab. Her suggestion for the marble was spot on and that’s the one we selected for our breakfast table. Since I placed my order during the lockdown, installation was delayed until phase 2 would allow for work to commence. During the waiting period, Kelly worked with me regarding having my existing breakfast table stone retrofitted for one of my bathroom counters. They removed the existing sink and under-mounted a new one to freshen up bathroom. At the same time, we realized the remaining piece of the slab for the breakfast table would fit perfectly in a second bathroom and a new sink under-mounted as well. We are very pleased with the excellent fabrication of all of the stone work and the installers had been polite, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend using Stone and Cloth for all of your building needs.”

“I love that this goes out of its way to make a good vegan pizza -- the dough, the sauce, measuring out the vegan cheese on a scale so you get enough, vegan sausage, tons of veggie options. I highly recommend finishing the cooked pizza with fresh basil and basamic reduction drizzle at the very end -- it really elevates it. They are careful about cross contamination: when there is a vegan order, they change out the gloves to pepare it, and after it bakes, they use a green-handled pizza cutter that is only used for vegan pizzas. They mark your order very clearly as vegan so that it gets special handling. The staff gets an A+ for attentiveness to special diets! Sign up for their text messages, as they regularly send out 2-for-1 deals and % off coupons. Also, if you pay with cash, there's a small cash discount.”

“My first time here at J.Alexander's. So worth the trip from Lafayette. My entire meal has been remarkable. I ordered the red wine blend Parradoxx, which had a slight Pinot Nior flavor to it. I ordered a house salad with Blue Cheese dressing which was rich and full of woodsy flavors. My salad was a big hit with me. Vegetables were crisp and served with beautiful presentation. I ordered the Filet with Berinaise sauce and baked potatoe. It was cooked so perfectly that it was truly a work of art. For dessert I got the chocolate cake. I am not usually a chocolate fan at all but this did not disappoint!! The rich cocoa blended perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. Now for the service... my waiter, Ali, was so good. His knowledge of the menu was very good, but his quiet professionalism was undeniable. He checked all the boxes as to dressings and preparation, but he additionally checked for how and when you wanted everything served. Ali, eyes were constantly scanning to be certain that my meal and needs were being met. Now, I don't know anything about Ali, except that he was young, but he could have been at home in the finest restaurants in Chicago! His attention to detail made my incredible lunch even more spectacular! An incredible meal, prepared exquisitely, with a waiter like Ali! Just absolutely perfect!”

“Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! “I went here for my anniversary last night. We arrived at 8 for an 8:15 reservation. They told us to wait at the bar so we ordered a cocktail. there were dishes where we sat. someone picked up the dishes but did not wipe off the bar! She took our drink orders and did not wipe of the bar that was covered with stick stuff likely from other people's drinks. After she brought out drinks, $14 ea, she set them down and still did not wipe off the bar top. so I took an ice cube from my drink. she had not even given us napkins so I had to reach into her area and get one. I used my ice cube and napkin to clean the counter in front of us! We had to remind the hosts as it seemed they forgot us. We were seated and our server was wonderful. We asked for edamame as an appetizer. and we ordered another drink. none of which were under her control. I feel the bar should have its own serving staff as the servers are way too busy with tables. 30 min later I asked about the edamame. She said it still was not ready. I asked how hard can it be to make edamame. 30 seconds in a microwave. she said she gets attitude when she asks why it isn't ready. we still did not have our second cocktail. probably would have had more if they had been more timely! second one I ordered a double gin and tonic. it has no alcohol it in. My friends got a Grey Goose on the rocks and a mojito. all of us commented that the booze was watered down. Our server took the edamame off our bill. This was our 5th time and we have always enjoyed going there for special occasions. after last night we will not be going back food is great but be prepared for poor service...”
