I was not super impressed by the food - the morning bun was overly sweet. The peach bun did not have enough peach flavor. The dolce & banana was all sugar with very little banana flavor. The brown butter cookie was alright. The mustard and onion savory croissant had great flavors. Every item, however, was missing the freshly made crunch I was expecting from puff pastry on the edges - I’m not sure why.

There was a steady short line inside when I visited on a Saturday morning. Easy to find seats.“

“The best crossaints I've had in NOLA, and very close to the best I've had in the US. The normal butter corssaint (5/5) was buttery, decadent, crispy, and incredibly flaky. The leek and cheddar one (6/5) was incredibly savory from the leek and cheese, while also being super flaky and buttery. “Bittersweet Confections made our wedding cake, and choosing Cheryl was one of the best decisions we made. She is 100% worth the investment. We specifically prioritized in our budget to have her create our cake because her flavor combinations and icing are truly unmatched — and it paid off in every way.

We opted for one stunning cake rather than multiple desserts. Our four‑tier, bright white Lambeth-style cake with cherries was absolutely breathtaking. Inside, we alternated between almond and lemon cakes, all with her incredible vanilla buttercream icing. It was not only beautiful — it was delicious.

We had so many guests, including self-proclaimed “not cake people,” tell us how much they loved it. Even now, people still bring up how amazing the cake was. It truly became one of the stars of the night.

Beyond our wedding, I also love stopping by Bittersweet for a quick lunch or sweet treat. It’s a wonderful business run by even more wonderful people.

If you’re considering Bittersweet Confections for your wedding or any special occasion — do it. You won’t regret it.

“I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“

“Grow up with randazzo's baked goods. Happened to be in St Bernard parish and could not resist stopping by to get my fix on my way back out of town.

They have a chewy macaroon type cookie both in chocolate and anise flavor which is my all-time favorite. Of course I also had to get some of their cake chocolate iced donuts as well. Nona randazzo's bakery goods are not cheap by any means, but that's true for all private bakeries. Nona randazzo's goods are as good or better than any other bakery in the New Orleans area.“

“There was only one employee and she was incredibly capable and kind even when it was so busy.

We got a pistachio raspberry and a peanut butter. They are little mousse orbs.

We also got a dark chocolate scoop of gelato and the salted Carmel .

“I drive from downtown to come get a bagel sandwich! The employees were all very kind and attentive. The bagels and coffee are DELICIOUS!! Sabrina went above and beyond, checking in with us, to ensure that each of us got exactly what we wanted.“

“Great little shop that specializes in cheesecake, obviously. The name intrigued me as I passed by on my way to a jobsite and I felt compelled to stop by to check it out. I had never seen a bakery that was strictly cheesecake before, and the positive reviews only reinforced my decision to see what it was all about.

It was getting close to closing time when I arrived and there were five or six flavors of the personal size to choose from, ready to go.

I went with a personal sized Chocolate, and Strawberry Swirl which were to be split and shared with a coworker, and cupcake sized Piña Colada.

The cupcake size didn't survive the parking lot because I devoured it immediately. It was fabulous!

The flavors of the other two were also wonderful, with perfect texture and not too dense, and with just the right sweetness. They left nothing to be desired, except MORE!

It was excellent. The two bakers I spoke to were also just as delightful as the cheesecakes.

I hope this little shop stays open as I intend on stopping by again.

“I Love Nothing Bundt. All the cakes that we have had are really good. Well, the new Turtle cheesecake is VERY DISAPPOINTING!! It had very little (if any at all) Carmel & drizzled chocolate ( very little) it was mostly yellow cake with white frosting & very little filling inside. Not to mention the small amount of pecans. Sooo…it’s just a yellow cake with not much else to offer.“

“I can’t recommend Victoria’s Bakery enough…GO THERE…you won’t be disappointed! As a former pastry chef who made viennoiseries (croissants and puff pastry) and other French baked goods from scratch, I can say this place is amazing! The croissants shatter when you bite into them, the napoleon is a fun tale with fresh fruit, and the diplomat cream in the cannoncini is perfectly light and creamy. The pastry cream in the tarts is perfectly set, and the tart shell isn’t soggy at all and has a perfect flakiness. The mocha (I had it with oat milk) was absolutely wonderful! We were in New Orleans with the intention of visiting as many places as possible, and tried not to repeat visits to the same place, but Victoria’s Bakery was so good that we returned 3 separate times to enjoy the different pastries!“
