“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

“A Celiac-Friendly Gem in Baton Rouge.
On a one-way road trip June 13, my son and I stopped at Eliza Restaurant & Bar. We were staying the night in Baton Rouge and AI had called out Eliza as one of the better local cuisine restaurants with GF options. Walking in without a reservation, the hostess kindly found us a table—an unexpected courtesy that made us feel both lucky and welcome (making a reservation is highly recommended, I saw 3 others walk-ins turned away).

The real highlight was how incredibly celiac-friendly this place is. I enjoyed some of the best hush puppies I’ve had—fried perfectly in a dedicated gluten-free fryer. I had the Corn Fried Local Seafood (Gulf Shrimp, catfish, crawfish hush puppies and string fries) The food was flavorful and authentic, and without feeling oily at all. Our server, Morgan, was fantastic in walking us through all the safe options for celiacs. If I were a local, I’d be a regular here. Highly Recommend. Only regret is I live in WA state and won’t likely be back anytime soon. Great place!“

“Stopped in for some amazing food with my brother and mom on a Thursday evening and I was craving catfish. Their catfish is breaded with a great seasoned flavor, crispy thick pieces and some thin ones too. The Catfish Atchafalaya is one of the best entrees when you are craving a savory seafood dish. The crawfish etouffee is the best in the parish. We ordered the jacked up crawfish dip with the fried pita chips that come out hot and fresh with crawfish in every bite! Creamy with a hint of spice that’s so satisfying. Try that with the fried eggplant and you will love it. For dessert the richest and best bread pudding with an amazing tasty rum sauce. Take it home with you, heat it up for about 10 seconds and you have that midnight southern snack that brings you back to your childhood. The atmosphere is relaxing and the southern rustic Louisiana feel makes you wanna sit back and just enjoy the goodness of the evening. Our waitress was Carmin and she was welcoming and offered great advice on every dish we asked about. Great service across the board. The prices ate so affordable for the amount of food served on an entree, even the appetizers. Everything about Louisiana Bayou Bistro is superb from the second you walk in. There was a holiday party in the next room and the atmosphere was never bothered. Been coming here for almost 20 something years and it just gets better and better. The fried shrimp is my favorite. All you can eat for the price is unbeatable. Best food and people across the bridge! I live in Florida and when I come home this is where I love to go. Ask for Carmin, she will welcome you with open arms. ~J“

“This place was outstanding in every way. My daughter was having a 16th birthday dinner and wanted to have it at Perkins Rowe. It was 16-18 girls. So we visited every restaurant, and most of them, while nice, seemed very detached. One place, the cute taco place in the back, wanted to charge us $25 for bringing our own cake in! Crazy talk! But as soon as we walked into Drago's, we felt welcomed and like they actually wanted our business. Scott, the GM, went above and beyond to accommodate us. On the day of the dinner, the servers really had their stuff together and were all smiles. Just the sweetest people. We had Cat and Emory, and we loved them both. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I really can't say enough good things about the whole experienc,e except thank you for making my girl's day special!“

“Stopped by Fiery Crab for lunch today and came away pleasantly surprised. I believe it’s a chain restaurant, but they definitely delivered a quality meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was flaky, crispy, and cooked just right. The fries were hot and paired perfectly with the meal.
The biggest surprise was the value. I enjoyed a satisfying seafood lunch for under $20, which is getting harder and harder to find these days. If you’re looking for a casual spot with good food, generous portions, and prices that won’t break the bank, Fiery Crab is definitely worth checking out.“

“First time here, my server Conor was exceptional, I have try diferent chargrilled oyster in diferent restaurant like chimes, Felix's other ones, and i ask if they have diferent flavors i wanna try something diferent and they make me something off the menú and they didn't disappoint they where amazing. The chicken is better than Popeye's Chicken Church's Chicken raising Cane's the bluestone chicken in the Golden Chicken Brown's Cafe have them all beat it's a must try so if you ever across the river you really need to stop in. “Being from Florida this was my first time experiencing the restaurant. It was recommended by friends and I must say it was a great experience. My family and I had a variety of dishes. I had the boudin egg roll which were delicious along with the Shrimp jambalaya.My wife had the chicken club and red beans and rice which are outstanding. My mother had the catfish and shrimp plate which is huge portions. The adult drinks are great with a huge selection. If I get the opportunity to visit I will definitely make a stop back. Love the atmosphere during football season although I’m not a Saints fan lol. But highly recommend giving this place a try.“
