“My client (local) said this was his favorite restaurant in all of Louisiana, and it delivered. Off the beaten path but not too far, with an authentic ambiance you can "feel" as much as see. Service was excellent (shoutout to Sam B.), knowledgeable, attentive, and welcoming. I had a spicy bread bowl appetizer, Roberto's crab entree, and the black tuxedo pie a la mode dessert. Left with a full stomach and a happy experience. More of a nice memory than just a meal. Go for it.“

“I absolutely love coming here except for the wait time if you are with a group. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with sweet potato mash and coleslaw. The food was good however the mash was almost cold. I also ordered an old man by the sea as my drink and it was delicious“

“Easily the best salmon I've ever eaten. the server (I can't remember his name but he was a history teacher primarily) was amazing and very engaging with us. he even had no problem going back and forth between the kitchen and our table to ensure my dairy-free girlfriend could still have something delicious. truly a restaurant worth returning to if you are in the area.“

“This place was awesome! We did a late lunch/ early evening snack and got the Fried Chicken Sliders with pimento Cheese, side of House Onion Rings, Cornbread, and Pit beans. The fried chicken sliders were delicious!! They came on Hawaiian roll so the ratio of chicken to bun was a bit off but still tasty. It probably could have used slightly more pimento cheese as well just to have a bit more wetness. And it only came with one pickle which I moved inside and added some of the complimentary pickles that we were given before and it rounded out the sandwich nicely! The pit beans we asked to make vegetarian without bacon In it and it was a true winner of this meal - so much flavor and smokiness but didn't taste meaty. Lastly, the cornbread was delicious, maybe could have used a touch more seasoning but the order came with 3 which was sufficient for us. All in all we wanted our fix of barbecue (and we only Eat chicken) and this place definitely did the trick. The ambiance was great and quiet while we were there since it was an odd hour. The place is humongous and has outdoor seating as well and lots of parking space. And server was awesome - he was an LSU student and any time we had a question about the menu and didn't know, he'd go back to the kitchen and ask for us which was great. Would definitely come back here and also Consider trying those loaded nachos starter as well!“

“How sad - DO NOT order delivery from this location. I am visiting and love door-dash for moments like this. My order WAS NOT complete - the $8 cheesecake was NOT included, nor were there napkins or plastic ware or paper plate - so I had to resort to eating out of the bag. After waiting 45 minutes for the manager to call back to merely resolve the order, I had no resolution. Now - the restaurant will not answer my phone number. Food was fine - yet part of the 'atmosphere' of enjoying the popular shrimp boil is having everything you paid for, and utensils to enjoy it!“

“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. Their loss!!“

“Fleming was an absolute delight! We made reservations for our anniversary and upon arrival, the hostess gave me a rose and walked us to our table. We felt so VIP! I got the blueberry lemon drop and boy that was YUMMY! Like candy. I got 2, the second was more strong, but still delicious, probably my favorite one ever. For my meal, I got the French onion soup and holy moly.... That was so good. Husband got the ribeye and it had lots of fatty pieces left. “Oh man, this is place is dangerous. Best seafood I've ever had, not just in Louisiana, but in my entire life. Freshness is one thing but that flavor cannot be beat. We went with our server's recommendations of the various daily specials and each entree knocked it out of the park. I genuinely cannot understand how something can be this good. A real gem in Baton Rouge. We contemplated coming back a second time during our very short trip because we feared nothing would live up to it- obviously untrue, such amazing food all around in the South - but an absolute must for anyone visiting the area.“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. It is casual but upscale where you go there to watch sports, have a business meeting, or even a date. The service was off the hook awesome - Emily is a Rockstar waitress. The food was delicious. “I recommend Phil's Oyster Bar & Seaford Restaurant for their atmosphere, service, and food. We made reservations and didn't have to wait to be seated. Our waitress was wonderful and paid attention to details, as in special requests due to allergies. The charbroiled oysters were the best. Phil's is definitely the place to go for seafood.“

“So yeah! We volunteered today at an event at the Hotel today. I had not eaten much of anything. I was told that the food here was good. And ya'll, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!!! I clearly forgot to take a picture of our foods. I asked the gentleman what would he recommend, he suggested the Louisiana chicken it came with roasted potatoes & broccoli. I also had a cup of gumbo, it had duck in it, I thought that it was beef. Lol, first time eating duck. It was delicious. “Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! They mix in ALOT of onions in it to inflate the weight - my 5 LBs bag had NINE ounces of onions mixed in. With current crawfish prices, that’s about $4-5 worth of onions!“

When COVID began they switched to delivery or pickup only and the day after I got a personal text from the owner (got number from ordering system) thanking me for supporting local during a trying time.
