“Phinista is my goat it has yet to (severely) disappoint!! Great study spot if you're willing to wait for a table (usually doesn't take me longer than 10-15 mins). Of their matchas, my favorite is their pandan, but their ube and strawberry are good too. I like their pastries, though their cookies are a bit dry. Highly recommend their bowls if you want actual food; they give big portions and everything is seasoned well.“

“Really great espresso at this location and paninis, desserts, breakfast croissants, you name it. They also allow you to order via mobile, so a quick pickup for anyone coming through on the T. Something unique- if you order by Tuesdays, they import their Buffalo mozzerella from Italy!“

“Phin has quickly become one of my favorite coffee places in Boston.“
“Walked into Le Cafe Bakery on Kneeland Street without much expectation and honestly left really impressed.
The space is cute and cozy, with a warm vibe that makes you want to sit for a bit instead of just grabbing something and leaving.
The tarts are definitely the highlight here.
The Dubai chocolate tart was my favorite. If you’ve seen the Dubai chocolate trend online, this actually lives up to it rich, layered, and really satisfying without feeling overhyped.
The ube cheesecake tart was also really good. The ube flavor felt authentic, the cheesecake was smooth, and it was nicely balanced overall. It also looks great, which is always a plus.
The caramel cheesecake croissant tart was the most indulgent of the three. Flaky pastry, creamy filling, and just the right amount of caramel everything worked really well together.
For anyone looking for vegan-friendly options, the plain bagel is a solid choice fresh, chewy, and well made. Some of the spreads (like the blueberry cream cheese) are vegetarian rather than vegan, but the staff are friendly and happy to help you figure out what works best.
Overall, everything felt thoughtfully made. If you’re looking for good tarts in Boston or a vegetarian-friendly bakery in downtown Boston, this place is definitely worth checking out.
We also shared a reel from this visit on Instagram @bostonvegeats where we cover vegetarian-friendly spots around Boston.“

“We got to our hotel (Marriot Copley) around 10:30am. Jaho was right next door. So we thought “why not”. So glad we did. Thankful we did!!!! I had the salmon bagel (lox). Never, have I ever had a bagel that good. It was so amazing. My husband had a turkey sandwich. Which, we LOVED. We are going back before we leave Boston! This place is a Gem!!!“
“Central Perk Cafe in Boston is a total must-visit for any Friends fan, and even if you’re not a die-hard viewer, it’s a charming spot that captures the essence of the iconic coffeehouse.
Located at 205 Newbury Street in the heart of Back bay, the place immediately transports you with its nostalgic yet modern vibe. The decor is spot-on—think a sleek, updated take on the famous orange couch, cozy seating, and plenty of subtle (and not-so-subtle) references to the show scattered throughout like Gunther’s special, phoebe’s grandmother cookies. It really feels like stepping into Central Perk, but with a fresh, contemporary twist that makes it feel welcoming rather than gimmicky.
The food and drinks are where it truly shines. I loved the Chandler’s Latte—it’s perfectly balanced, creamy, and has that fun thematic nod without being over-the-top. Paired with their almond croissant, which was flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet, it was a highlight. The avocado toast was also solid—fresh, well-seasoned, and generous with the toppings, making it a great savory option.
The environment is relaxed and inviting, with great natural light, comfortable spots to linger, and an overall structure that encourages hanging out with friends (or solo with a good book). It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an hour or two people-watching on Newbury Street or just soaking in the good energy.
If you’re in Boston and craving a caffeine fix with a side of nostalgia, Central Perk delivers. Highly recommend—I’ll definitely be back for more “How You Doin’?” vibes! ☕️🧡“

“I absolutely LOVE this place. We have so many brunch options in the area, but THIS is the right choice remember I said it. The mini donuts are a dream. I literally dreamt about them 🤣 Brussel sprouts are mouth watering & the apple cinnamon pancakes are out of this world! The breakfast sandwich is on a cheddar biscuit… nuff said! The service was so outstanding I didn’t have to ask for anything! They made me feel like I was family 💜 I will be back for dinner, which is just as great as brunch but for brunch look no further! The decor is something special as well. I posted a few pics but please go check it out for yourself. You won’t regret it! PS they love my dog. Spoiled her the entire time! lol 💜“

“Had a great coffee here a couple of days ago. Anna, the barista, was especially nice and made me the perfect latte: so perfect that's better than anything I tasted in Italy, my home country (and you know we italians are very demanding when it comes to coffee...).
Thank you again Anna for the wonderful conversation. I indeed listened to Man in the Box by Alice in Chains as you suggested and it's an absolute banger“

“Very lovely folks who work here and nice space, but if you’re a coffee snob who came for the high ratings just be a bit careful what you order.
The flat white here is a latte and the beans are not good. I think this is somewhere to go more for Turkish coffee or American-style syruped coffee. And (probably) good pastries!“

“A gem in the heart of Boston
The Sipping Room has quickly become one of my favorite places in the city. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, thoughtful design, and a vibe that somehow balances cozy and chic. Whether you’re catching up with friends or winding down after a long day, it just fits any mood.
The staff deserve a special mention — genuinely kind, attentive without hovering, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can feel that in the drinks, too. Every drink is crafted with care, not just mixed. Their iced lemon wintermelon oolong tea is my favorite. Well balanced with a unique flavor.
It’s also one of those rare spots where you feel completely welcome to linger — good music, comfortable seating, and a pace that encourages conversation. You don’t feel rushed, you feel hosted.
Boston has no shortage of tea shops, but The Sipping Room has heart. It’s the type of place you recommend to visiting friends — and then keep coming back to yourself.
Highly recommend. Cheers to many more visits here! 🥂“
“Heidi’s House of Coffee is an Oasis in a Food Court full of Fast Food corporate types of restaurants. The coffee is great, pastries are great, and the service from Heidi is second to none. Everything is individualized to your liking. Start your day with a friendly hello, the best coffee, and a genuine smile. You won’t go wrong. Dave“

“I stopped by Sorelle Bakery & Cafe near Boston’s Financial District, and it felt like a perfect little spot for a quick breakfast or coffee break. The café has a relaxed neighborhood vibe, with people grabbing coffee on their way to work or sitting down for a casual lunch.
I ordered a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, and both were fresh and satisfying. The bakery also has a good selection of pastries, muffins, scones, soups, salads, and sandwiches, making it a convenient place for either breakfast or a light lunch.
The service was quick and friendly, which makes sense since many customers are office workers from nearby buildings. The atmosphere is simple and comfortable—nothing fancy, but a nice place to relax for a few minutes in the middle of a busy downtown area.
Overall, Sorelle Bakery & Cafe is a solid choice if you want good coffee, fresh pastries, and a quick, casual meal while exploring or working in downtown Boston“

“We’ve visited several Tatte locations over the years and this one was just as enjoyable. The food is fresh and flavorful, with a menu that feels surprisingly Mediterranean-inspired for the U.S.
A great spot for breakfast or brunch, offering plenty of tasty options in a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Back Bay. ☕🥐🍳“
“I was there a couple weeks ago and got a small iced oat latte with hazelnut. Latte was 10/10, the owner was so sweet and the interior is really gorgeous! They also had a huge photo chart of different types of coffee orders which can be so helpful for customers who are unsure of what they want. They also have multiple types of oat milk, which I was shocked by!
Please check this cute cafe out! You can get there by bus easy too.“

“The donuts are amazing but this review is for Ruben, the manager at the Rt 1 location. I had to travel for business today and it happens to also be my son’s 15th birthday. Because my son has celiac disease, options for baked goods is limited, especially when your plane lands at 6:30pm on the big day and gluten free options aren’t known to last long once baked. Unfortunately, living in Southern New Hampshire, delivery via UberEats or GrubHub wasn’t an option But, being a father himself, Ruben kindly offered to deliver them personally after work. This man went above and beyond, first driving home to pick up his kids. You see, his wife needed to get to her job so he brought his kids along for the adventure. In addition, he refused all forms of tipping despite my repeated insistence. He explained that he hopes someone would do the same for his kids if he was in my position and, as the manager, he felt compelled to make it happen. Ruben, you’re an angel, one in a million, an amazing human! I hope you receive back the blessing you bestowed on me and my son 10-fold! Thank you isn’t enough. To those reading this, please leave an extra big tip for Ruben next time you stop in. I sure will be.“

“A Friday afternoon for matcha . I have heard a lot of mixed reviews specifically for the Strawberry and cream matcha . Personally I love it . Less hassle of me asking for oat milk on my matcha latte . The flavor was balanced out and perfect. Creamy and sweet strawberry flavor and matcha was perfect not too bitter. Atmosphere is calm and not a lot people around in the afternoon . It was super calm . 🍵🍓🤍💚 I love the matcha . My husband loved the espresso martini he loved the balanced flavors of the pecan and honey incorporated in the coffee . He’s very picky about having pecan on his coffee it was win 🫢“
