“The best meal- great service- Beautiful atmosphere And warm friendly hostess”
“Food was delicious. Only dish they didn't wow was the Sea Captain. It needed a bit more depth to the sauce. Service was generally good but expected a bit more coordination between server and runners and runners just dropped food without any explanation about what it was. Also, timing was a little odd. Got 4 dishes very quickly and then a long wait until the entree. Overall though would definitely recommend”
“Perfect in every way. The most delicious food in Boston (or anywhere). The friendliest atmosphere. Always our first choice for special occasions and every day meals. Love, love, love.”
“We took a friend out to dinner at Oleana last night for her birthday and it was one of the best meals we’ve had. We loved being able to share and sample so many dishes, and each one was a masterful balancing of herbs, spices and flavors. The service was also top-notch. We can’t wait to return! It’s no surprise that it’s hard to get a reservation.”

“Delicious, Yummy, Friendly, Locally owned, with baking ingredients specialities! We’re so happy to have this warm and inviting place around the corner from where we live. #support local !!”
“Incredible food at the Chef’s Table. Amazing coordination between staff in a small space. Very friendly and accommodating. Probably the best meal I have ever had and I didn’t choose any of the courses!”
“The oyster selection is great! I also had the crab risotto, which was delicious even though the garnish didn't suit my taste. I had a gin and blueberry cocktail from their menu which was wonderful and so cool to watch the bartender work from the low bar seating. Also El was my party's server and they had great energy-- really friendly and knowledgeable without being too stuffy, which in a place like this can be a fine line to walk. Will definitely be back soon!”

“Delicious Enmi ramen! First time seeing a citrusy yuzu-based ramen on a menu, and it was yummmy! Our server Justin was also so warm and welcoming, subbing the broth out for a vegan one. And the atmosphere is so cozy and intimate, will be back the next time we're in Boston for sure!”

“Very welcoming. I got there about an hour before closing so I picked my food quickly. I had the Creamy Tum Yum and added a little chili oil to it for some spice. It is a great dish for someone who wants flavor with little to no heat. There was plenty of pork and two shrimp tails. I also had the Thai Tea which from the picture in the menu I was worried was a premade mix. Instead it came out fresh and required me to swirl it around to blend the cream. Perfect flavor and temperature. Not overly sweet like some places make it.
The atmosphere was laid back with some cool art work on the walls. Definitely gave a college town feel. The bathroom could use some work. It wasn't scary. It was clean and well stocked but it is definitely on the back burner when it comes to decorating.
I'm surprised they don't have merchandise. Their logo would be a cool patch on a hat. Seems like most restaurants are doing this now and I'm here for it. Better than buying shot glasses.
Anyways, check the place out for some good hot pots, ramen, etc. when in the area.”
“Run don't walk to Pagu for absolutely scrumptious food that weaves together Japanese and Spanish Basques Cuisines! A must order is the Tuna Collar - I've never had anything like it - it's huge, great for a crowd, bone-suckingly good (literally have done that) served with rice and nori! Also make sure you don't miss Tracy Chang's homemade nonalcoholic sparking teas - my favorites are the genmaicha and the hojicha - again I've never tasted a drink like this anywhere else. And then you have to end the night with a Basque Cheesecake - I particularly love when Pagu makes a seasonal Matcha or Ube Basque cheesecake! Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!”
“This is the first review I've ever written (seriously!), and to be honest I'm writing it as I sit here with a friend of mine looking at the website, talking about miscellaneous stuff (like me not having ever written a review), and I was telling her about when my partner and I went to Zuzu's Petals a couple of years ago (my friend will be in Cambridge soon and I was giving her a recommendation).
We love this place! We're not regulars as we only go to Boston occasionally to see my partner's sister and family, but whenever we're in town we try to go at least one night. It's so refreshing to have a space with no phones, at least for a little while, YA KNOW?!? Of course I'm writing this on a screen, so the irony is not lost on me, but a break from screens? I'll take it.
Last time we were there the record player (vinyl, of course!) was playing Bowie, Stones among others - again, refreshing to hear full albums - and I think we had a cheese plate and few glasses of wine and of course dessert. It's always been a nice time for us and we highly recommend! And thus dear reader we reach the conclusion of my post: my friend and I both agree, since I'm sharing this restaurant suggestion with her, why not share it with the world?!?!? (Like I said, it's my first time and this was fun to write...)”
“The husband and I did an order during their soft open, and it was super good! We have ordered atleast 2-3 more times since the soft open and it's always good! I've tried all their sides, brussels are DELICOUS. Zucchini salad is also VERY good. I do think it has a LOT of almonds, but I could have just gotten a nut heavy scoop, so definitely recommend! We did and sampler platter and the meats are solid. The ribs are THE BEEEEST. pulled pork and brisket is good too. have yet to try the burnt ends, that's my next venture! Overall a great meal. Price wise, it is moderate. price points around the same if not cheaper for most BBQ I've had up here. I'm from the south so prices will never be as cheap as there, but the food, personally, is worth the price.”
“Amazing food. Don't miss out on the pasta dishes or the bread. They actually make for great sharing apps. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Drinks are delicious and unique.”
“Oak Bistro is one of those spots that feels easygoing but still delivers seriously good food. The menu has a nice mix—perfectly cooked steaks, flavorful burgers, and fresh seafood that never disappoints. The crab cakes are a must-try, and the truffle fries always hit the spot. Drinks are strong and well-balanced, and the atmosphere strikes a great balance between casual and classy. The staff are friendly and on point, keeping things smooth without any fuss. It’s the kind of place you can go for a chill dinner or a night out and know you’ll eat well every time.”

“The tase of the food was amazing , but portions are very small. Even a dinner is a tapas appetizer. The drinks were good too. But $15 for a margarita is stupid. $8 is reasonable
The service was tops and quickly. Friendly and kind, but language barrier. Is an issue. I spoke English and Spanish and no one understands anything? I’ve had much better in oriental de Cuba, which is NO LONGER in JP.
Thanks for dinner!”
“This was one of the BEST omakase experiences I have ever had. The attention to detail was extraordinary. I ate at several two and three star Michelin restaurants last summer in France and I was happier with my dining experience at Umami. The quality of ingredients is absolutely stellar and it is truly a treat for all the senses. Go!!”
“Maybe my favorite coffee shop of all time (and I really love coffee shops). Their drip coffee is phenomenal and their espresso is delicious as well. Breakfast sandwich comes on English muffin with avocado and is 9/10. By night, it becomes a brewing company with excellent beer and excellent hazy IPAs. Given that I moved in around the corner, I have been going at least three times per week. LOVE IT.”

We loved that each dish had classic southeast asian flavors, but was so unique. You will not find dishes like this anywhere else in Boston. Excited to come back for more!”

“grabbed a takeout box for $18 and it was really good! the maki was generously filled and the nigiri were fresh and delicious. all the nigiri are paired with a small dot of a unique garnish which elevated them - i do wish there was more of the garnish on each piece to better appreciate the flavour pairings. would eat again!”
“It’s easy to find veg places that are filled with salads, harder to find a place that will get you some solid, greasy spoon, veg diner food! So delicious. They also have a great patio when the weather is good!”

“I had just missed my flight back home and after 5 hours at the airport things began to look rather grim. I then decided to take a walk and by complete luck happened to use this location as a pickup spot for my Uber. What started as me wanting a small snack then turned into a newfound appreciation for Somali cuisine and an eating experience I will have yet to forget. Tawakal Halal gave me the best food and service in about 14 minutes than other establishments have managed to give me in an hour, so great in fact, that I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I didn’t go a second time before I left. The food by itself is beyond amazing and I could write a whole review entirely on how great the food is, however, my personal favorites were the Goat Biryani and the Halwa as an excellent dessert option after. In addition to the food, the service here was amazing as well. The staff were always making sure I had everything I needed and doing everything they could to make my experience there a pleasant one, even offering me tea as I waited for my Uber. All in all, the best way I could describe this café to anyone wanting to know more about it is that it is truly everything you could ever ask for in a dining experience: fantastic food and amazing service. It even no longer made me upset that I missed my flight that day for if I hadn’t, I would have never been able to find this gem of a café. Thank you, Tawakal Halal, so much for giving me an experience I will never forget and know that when I return to Boston, you can bet the first stop on my itinerary will be your café. (The photos used in this review were taken from Tawakal Halal’s Instagram page with permission from Tawakal Halal)”
“Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.”
“Muqueca Restaurante é simplesmente o melhor dos melhores restaurantes com a melhor culinária de comidas típicas Brasileira que tem aqui 🇺🇸! Tudo de primeira qualidade feito com amor ! Atendimento excelente, preços não vou nem falar, somente vocês indo lá para comer e saberá! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I "cried" when my fave VEGAN or VEGETARIAN "GO-to" eat-in place closed all their locations around Boston. That was sadly & formerly GrainMaker .. (gone now) However DiG has grown on me as their deFACTO replacement for all FRESH VEGGIES and otherwise ALL FRESH MEAL VEGAN or VEGETERIAN eats and eat-in place! This is becoming my greatly reccomended "hidden vegan and veggie gem" in Boston with LOTS of locations. They have 3 locations thus far in Boston and 2 in Cambridge. I hav ONLY visited their downtown location thus far! Just as formerly with GrainMaker, DiG is as close to authentic home cooked! & genuinely HEALTHY! AND fresh meals that you can get to. Always fresh veggies, steamed & otherwise. --(they also serve a variety of proteins, as in variety of meats and fish, but i stay vegan. I have NEVER tried any of their meats or fish here.. ONLY their veggies and seasoned TOFU on occasion.. more oft than not, i do not even get their TOFU as a protein and opt to feast on JUST their steamed or boiled or baked veggies, bases. like rice and excellent mixed veggie salads sides!) Have been frequenting it for about 2 years since 2023 now, but held off on reviewing it until i was SURE of my experiences here. Decided to review it today bcs "it's time". I spoke to the very customer service oriented and responsibve supervisor here at this location, his name is DiJuan and was served by Adonis today and he was also very accommodating (after i explained i eat vegan) and on showing me my MANY fresh veggie choices, bases, proteins (including delish prepared Tofu) and PLENTY of heavenly veggie sides, all preped like you'd expect to find in a Thanksgiving grand day family meal. (AND they do this EVERY DAY!! ) This is HEALTHY eats and quite tasty and delish! See my posted pic w this review of my choice of eats today. In short, just today, i started with very little brown rice as my base and added 2 types of their fresh salad, Cannellini Beans w dill & greens along with their steamed or boiled Kale greens and added also a sweet potato that had been steamed & also steamed brocolli. I LUV eating fresh, healthy, TASTY and "homemade style" (as in NOT processed!!). I added their Garlic dressing to top it off. It came to something like 10+ bucks (B4 tax)! Unheard of !! for a BIG & FULLY portioned full veggie plate like this! BIG PORTION of a FULL PLATE! -- i declined, as usual to get any protein with my meal today, is why, STiLL i got a HUGE portioned plate! ( I normally HAVE2 order 2 - 3 separate orders and combine them, at HoneyGrow, anuther fave local "vegan" franchise in Boston, in order to get filled up if i'm only eating OMAD, as in One-meal-a-Day, in order to get full elsewhere usually!). They have a FAMILY (feeds4) option after 3pm every day that feeds 4-5 people (adults not kids) for like $43. QUITE A BARGAIN for something like this. AND it look like a Thankgiving day meal to top it off! --(formerly anuther non-vegan place "had this", now gone, called Boston Market. However they LOADED their side protions and even base meal with SO MUCH SALT, yuck! so that was ALL you could taste. THEY supposedly made home made, but found out NOT SO!!, theirs was loaded with processed sh*t, like their supposedly home-made mashed potatoes were the powder kind, loaded with pseudo milk and SALT, YUCK!!) NOT SO ! with this place.. DiG is 180 degrees fr tht.. This is truly GREAT tasting REAL and "home-prepped" veggies. They are winning me over from my other 2 "go-to's" "vegan-ish" franchises in Boston whcih have steadily been declining for various reasons, those being Bon-Me (their employees, over at Bon-Me for last 2-3 years it seems at ALL locations i have tried, simply do not undertsand nor speak english for the most part, their food WEN i can get it ordered the way i want it, is generally good, oft times its taken over 2 returned plates in order to get it prepared the way i orderd it.. v”

“Went here on a friday evening and place was absolutely packed - highly recommend reservations because you'll be lucky to get a table otherwise.
Ambiance was better than expected. You wouldn't be able to tell by looking from the outside but the inside is a classy well lit spot with tons of seating a spacious bar area. Great spot for dates, friends, and family.
Service was so-so. Could tell they were busy and trying their best. Maybe hire more servers?
Food - pizza was alright. Not amazing like others raving on here but it wasn't bad either. One of them was lacking flavor and the other was undercooked.”
“Cannot emphasize enough how great Mae Asian Eatery is! We recently stopped in for dinner and would definitely return. The food was fantastic -- a Chinese-Thai fusion that was really yummy. The service was also outstanding. It was super fast (especially impressive considering how busy it was), everyone was very kind, and we got to speak with the owner afterward who told us about the food (the secret to how yummy it is? His wife is the chef!) and the history behind the name. Just an all-around great experience and cool local business we were happy to visit.”
“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.”
“My sister-in-law just sent me and my wife a door dash order to cheer us up, with cold brew and two pains au chocolat. I took one bite and… wow. Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. Even in France it's not every day you find one this good! We’ll be going there for more, can’t wait to try what else they have to offer!”
“An excellent dinner. Purple carrots! Lemon potatoes! Tahini mushroom with an egg! Blue fish! Good service. Guy ran down The block to return my bracelet which had fallen off! They give you the check in a Copy of the Constitution! Recommend but why are you not accessible! Such a contradiction of your stated philosophy. Should at least put it on your website with your apology”
“Wow. Wow. What a discovery! I ordered delivery and expected something “okay”. I am left speechless. This was arguably the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Quality, quantity, taste - phenomenal...I had the Mediterranean mix which was a great sample of all different tastes. The rice (usually just fill in deliveries) was excellent with that slight bit of saffron coating it. Thank you!”
“Perfect in every way. The most delicious food in Boston (or anywhere). The friendliest atmosphere. Always our first choice for special occasions and every day meals. Love, love, love.”

“I'm not typically a review guy but this place is truly incredible. Chicken, rice, and daikon soup is all some of the best I've had in Boston, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and it's a cute little place to eat in or get takeout. Highly recommend the spicy chicken and the chive cakes, and can't wait to go back!”
“Stellar high protein vegan options Colorful & happy inside PB&J açaí bowl with peanut crumble is amazing I’ve tried making it at home & can’t crack their secret Oatmilk is their default!! :))) They literally supply nutritional yeast with the salt & pepper Only room for improvement is making it fully vegan 💗 Updated from previous review on 2025-08-09”
“Small Cava in Harvard Square. It’s been my go to for the past 2 months whenever I drive into work.
My Order: brown rice, mini spinach/arugula mix, spicy chicken, sliced cucumbers with cut up broccoli, feta cheese, and light garlic dressing
Price: depending on what you ask (+tax) comes out to $12-$15. Most food places around the square are “pricey”, but Cava is definitely a HEALTHIER option than most places
One bowl alone gets me through for the rest of the day and for that, I’M THANKFUL!”
“The atmosphere is beautiful and makes me feel like I’m on breezy vacation. I got the duck pho which was okay, I’m that big a fan of pho in general. It was well made. But my friend got the pork bowl which was delicious. The yogurt reduction was like tasting heaven.”
“Living nearby, Kantipur has become my go-to every week for quarantine takeout. I've tried all the chicken dishes about 3 times by now and I still can't decide which is the best! But my favorite menu item is the vegetable pakora appetizer. Dip it in the chutney sauce and you'll understand. 🎁🎊”

“Great traditional Irish music, lovely Guinness and Magners in a can ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Curry sauce was so good!”
“fast and efficient customer service. Definitely recommend the Hamburger and fries”
“This was one of the BEST omakase experiences I have ever had. The attention to detail was extraordinary. “We booked the private dining area and had a great experience. Service was great and we were not rushed at all. Food and drinks were good and the overall booking process with Zoey was easy and transparent.”
“The drinks were fantastic and fun, and the food was delicious! Our favorites were the filet-o-fish bao and chicken thighs. The only confusing thing is that it’s nowhere near the graffiti alley that’s pictured on their website.”
“Such a gem for great coffee and food in the Cambridge area! A perfect spot for doing work in a bright and open space. The owner and staff are very welcoming, and I will definitely be coming back!”
“My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Siagon Babylon and it has easily become one of our favorite Boston restaurants. The plates are small and I recommend getting a couple to share (tapas style). “We had the bolognese and the haddock and ordered a side of roasted carrots. All the food was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Not too busy, we didn't wait long at all. Cocktail was very different— a bitter sweet rhubarb flavored martini— great!”
“Overall ingredients + service + ambiance, I give it 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟 (Hawaii's is a bit better 😆🌺)”
“always a great time here! We’ve been enjoying this fine establishment for several years. Popped in last night after working an event for a quick snack and some refreshing beverages.”
“Staff, atmosphere, live music, food, beer - all great. What's not to like!”
“Ive only gotten take out from Lanner and I keep ordering the chicken topped noodles (really should try their other dishes, but its too good to stop). Their portions are perfect to leave you well fed, though you will not have leftovers (in my opinion Id rather be served the amount that will satisfy me rather than be overserved). The dish has a compounding spice that, by the end, will leave your mouth tingly and numbed in the best way possible. One day Ill try something new, but not today.”
“beautiful patio expansion "Moona Oasis" to accommodate more guests!”

“Nice space, attentive and friendly team and great food. Highly recommend.”
“The food was delicious and the stuff was very nice and very cautious with the virus situation.”
“You know a place is going to be good if it’s recommended by different people in your circle. Great drinks, great service, and great date wrapped prosciutto! Go on off peak hours cause the wait can get crazy”
“Wow. Wow. What a discovery! I ordered delivery and expected something “okay”. I am left speechless. This was arguably the best meal I’ve had in a long time. “No reservations taken so if more than 4, arrive before 6PM was suggested. Fish was fresh and room was nice and cool in heat wave and waters refilled attentively. Nice and quiet for talking.”
“My husband (who is vegan) and I were in the Boston/Cambridge area for work and selected Base Crave for our first meal out. We met two people from his job and noticed that the place was empty except for us and the staff. That worried me, but after eating, my only thought was “people need to eat here! They don’t know what they’re missing!” The 4 of us ordered vegetarian mo mo (omg - yum!), vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala (I didn’t try it but was told it was good), Tofu Mushroom stir-fry chilies mild which was okay, probably because we got it mild, Plantain curry (my hubby says fabulous!), plain naan (very good), and the Mushroom Stir-fry Noodles, mild. My husband and I agreed that the best things on the table were the Mo mo and the stir-fry noodles, both had fabulous flavor! We definitely recommend this place and would love to eat there again!”
“First time at Geppetto, from start to finish it was an excellent experience while celebrating our anniversary. The staff was attentive, professional and friendly; our waiter Brian was very knowledgeable of both food and wine options and very engaged throughout the evening. The fried mozzarella starter was delicious as were the two pasta dishes we chose from the very appealing menu options- spicy lobster spaghetti and that evening's special, pasta with black truffle and a delectable cheese sauce. Looking forward to returning to Geppetto.”
“Premium buffet cost less than 40$ with a lot of protein Avbl (Beef brisket, tongue etc). The options for food is plenty and it worths the price. Even single person get treated nicely, which is very good. However it is not friendly for vegetarians, due to the lack of clear indication in their food selection area (some of them might seem to be vegetarian while contain animal products) so be careful.”
“Small beer selection, wine and a bar. But they were great, super friendly, and the food was good.”
“The biggest problem we had with dinner last night was getting to Boston from Gloucester! We were delayed, but they saved our table in a corner that was quiet and it was great from there on. It has been a while since we had come to Helmand, but it will not be long before we're back.”
“Ordered food through Uber eats last night & couldn’t of been happier. I was having a craving for hot pretzel sticks so that’s what I searched on Uber. I came across this place & omg it was sooo worth it. I also got a paper explaining who the owners are and more about the place. I can’t wait until I can come with my family when this all ends! So happy I found you guys. Thanks!!”
“Once again you and your wonderful staff at Coast Cafe, have outdone yourselves!! Joshua's birthday celebration was an amazing time and partly due to your delicious food. Everyone gave high praise to every dish and went back for seconds and thirds. Thank you so much for being such a Beacon of Light in the Community! We love Coast Cafe!!”
“Amazing experience for my first time with many to come. I had the TBC special with sausage, mussels, corn and shrimp that was to die for! Plus, the fried catfish and the lemon pepper fries were unreal. Cannot wait to go back again!”
“We were seated and ordering before the restaurant told us that half the menu was out of stock. The lobster roe pasta and black sesame dessert also didn’t live up to the hype. Overall, had an average experience here, but bumping it up a star because their baby cauliflower was actually a pleasant surprise”
“My girlfriend and I originally stopped in for a quick snack, and we ended up staying for dinner because everything was that good. I got the brown sugar boba milk tea, and she got an ice cream with cute little decorations—it looked great and tasted even better. I was impressed that the boba came in a reusable can with the restaurant’s logo on it. I actually took it home, washed it out, and put it on my shelf because it looked so nice.
Both times we came in, the person at the front was super kind and welcoming. It was two different people, but both were genuinely friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. It added a really nice touch to the whole experience.
After walking around Cambridge a bit, we realized we didn’t feel like eating anywhere else—we came right back and ordered shrimp tempura sushi and more boba. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. Everything we had tasted great.
Prices are on the higher side, but that’s expected in Cambridge. The portions could be a bit bigger, but the quality definitely makes up for it. No complaints at all—great staff, great food, and a cozy vibe. We’re definitely coming back soon!”
“Two months ago, we hosted a wedding banquet at Mulan Restaurant, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The team prepared a beautifully decorated and festive private dining room, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone—guests and hosts alike—had a fantastic time. We are deeply grateful to the owner and staff for making the celebration warm, joyful, and truly memorable.”
“I grew up in Thailand and have spent most of my life living between Australia and the U.S., so finding authentic Thai food can be tough but Sugar and Spice takes me right back to my childhood. I adore every dish I’ve tried but the Hor Mok has a special place in my heart. A true gem! Delicious, meaningful and unforgettable.”
“Consistent, quality pub food with reasonable prices! We only go for Tuesday trivia and it's a great time. Great host and atmosphere. A broad mix of ages but primarily college through 30's. They don't take reservations so you need to get there early to get a table.”
“I didn't have the chance to try their food, but I saw a few dishes come out of the kitchen and they looked delicious.
The atmosphere is very pleasant and the attention is wonderful.
Today we had the pleasure of having two delicious papelon with lemon courtesy of the house. Grateful?????”
“Service gets 1 star because you pour your own beer from tap, and you pick up your own food when it’s ready. Because there is no food service you don’t have to tip. Every time I goit’s the manager who give the beer cards and I know the managers and kitchen staff is getting paid at least minimum wages.
Parking: It’s surrounded by apartments and businesses which have their own parking. You can park at alewife’s garage and walk.”
“I recently visited Monteverdi for Drinks on the patio and then more drinks and Dinner, and can I just say I have not experienced Cambridge like this before! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the stunning waterfront views - it’s the perfect backdrop for any meal inside or on the patio. The staff was beyond exceptional, making us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Now, let’s talk food! My friend ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, and it was hands-down one of the best they've had - perfectly seasoned with a rich blend of beef, veal, and pork, and she said the locally made pasta was just to die for. I ended up just getting the the Warm Marinated Olives since I am a light eater, but they were also a fantastic vegan option that's full of flavor and the perfect snack for someone like me. And the drinks that kicked off the evening, as well as during dinner (we maaay have had a round or 2)?! Let me just say, the VELO Vodka Espresso Martinis were the ideal pairing for everything we got - a smooth and rich cocktail that’s just as classy as it sounds. And it's also a locally made (& women owned) Vodka company! If you’re looking for outstanding food, drinks, service, and ambiance, Monteverdi is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!”
“Fantastic Mother's Day Bruch! Service was prompt and knowledgable about the menu and food allergens. Menu had a great selection of sweet, savory and fun items. All we ordered was delicious.”
“This restaurant is dope. The interior is warm and inviting. It’s modern and chic. Definitely an elevated hipster vibe. A chill spot to hang out after work or nice date night. The food is bomb! For apps, I’ve never had a Chinese-inspired arancini. These crispy delights are addicting with their crack sauce. The sauce is a must have on the arancini. The salad is light and refreshing. The Kokoda is a well made dish. I never had blue fin tuna until I came here. The combo with the fresh fish with the acidity from the lemon juice and smooth finish of coconut sauce - oof, worth a try. There’s also another surprise about the Kokoda - there’s something called sea grapes 🍇 and were bursting of flavor and freshness. A nice addition to the dish. I could go for seconds with the Kokoda because it’s a bit small for me. I wish they made it 2x bigger so it could be more shareable with a date or with company. The Maine Uni was surprisingly delicious 😋. I honestly thought it was too expensive but after having it, it was an amazing amuse bouche (the perfect bite). I couldn’t believe that small bite packed so much flavor and complexity. It was balanced and left me feeling happy. Totally worth it. For mains, the pork belly adobo melts in your mouth. So good! The mushroom raviolis are my favorite out of this menu. The salted duck egg sauce is what makes this dish memorable. I would definitely eat this again. The bitter melon ratatouille is not my favorite because it wasn’t seasoned enough for me. It felt as though it was missing salt. The veggies were perfectly roasted though, but it didn’t quite smack like the other dishes. The ribeye is good, but not my favorite. I might be biased because I’ve had better at other places. For desserts, the pandan sorbet is tasty. I’m not a fan of the pandan taste. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it because I love avocados and bananas and in ice cream form? No brainer. I wished they had a version without the pandan flavoring. I’m curious as to how it would taste then. The matcha cheesecake is surprisingly well-balanced. Not too matcha where it’s overbearing. The matcha is subtle while the richness of the cheesecake smacks just right and not overly sugary. The late night menu - I only tried the Chicharrón taco 🌮. The combo of crispy pork belly and the acidity from the lime is perf. Nothing else to say. Surprisingly really filling. I probably can’t have more than 2 of these tacos and I’m a pretty big guy. The drinks - I love the names and how they have a play on words. The blood orange and the banana espresso are my favorite. These drinks have enough booze and not too much where it’s offensive. Blood orange is enjoyable to drink and the banana espresso is complex with a chocolate finish. Their nice, clean cocktails. Service was awesome! The servers were friendly and quick. They regularly checked in with my wife and me. I don’t think I even had to do the awkward “please help us” lean at all. They were there when you needed them! Amazing 5 star service! You want a culinary experience. This place won’t disappoint.”
“My fiancé and I went in for dinner and ended up being shocked on how empty it was. The food was amazing and the owner and his wife were incredibly kind. It’s definitely a new favorite and a must try for anyone looking for good food and a comforting environment”
“great place to pack all my fans love the staff looking to perform here sometime in the near future”
“I recently hosted a private party at Gran Gusto in Cambridge to celebrate a very special occasion, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. As a vegan, I was blown away by how thoughtfully they crafted an entirely plant-based buffet menu just for the event. Every single dish was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. In addition to the vegan fare, the team went above and beyond to provide gluten-free options for a couple of celiac guests, making sure everyone could enjoy the celebration without worry. The warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and mouthwatering food made the evening truly unforgettable. I’m so grateful to the Gran Gusto team for helping make my celebration so special. I highly recommend them for any event—or even just a night out. They’re a gem in Cambridge! The only bad thing? Time flew by way too fast—because everything was so magical and beautiful. ✨”
“Wow, if you like the best of the best in Craft beer, you gotta stop by, grabbed the garlic knots too, they were delicious...”
“S&S is OPEN for deli takeout during this time from 11am- 7pm. Curbside pickup. Enter only at front door 1334 Cambridge St.”
“Probably like many others, I found myself snacking all the time now that COVID-19 has us home 24/7, so I was in search of some healthy snacks made locally that I could have delivered to my home. So thrilled I thought of Nüssli118. I had previously attended a vegan dinner at her retail location in Cambridge and loved it. I wanted to try everything so I ordered the gluten-free bites (ginger spice and pumpkin spice), her sprouted nut clusters, ginger lemon squares, and her new vanilla spice overnight oats. The gluten-free bites satisfies my cookie cravings without the sugar crash. The nut clusters were awesome, I couldn’t decide if I liked the maple or salted caramel flavors best so I found myself alternating. They were the perfect late night snack. But the winner was the overnight oats- YUM. It was super easy to make- just add a cup of milk (we did unsweetened almond milk) in a jar, toss them in the fridge and voila- you’ve got breakfast with no effort. If you’re looking for healthy snacks while we aren’t able to go to the gym and you want to support a small business, this is the place to order. All of her products are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. Even though I’m not a vegan, I love to eat raw foods because they give me energy without the crash or late night cravings. Highly recommend you try everything at first because it’s all unexpected and delicious.”
“Great open space with a patio area and a rooftop area. The craft brews are great and the charcuterie options were spot on.”
“My friends and I had a great time at the tavern. The service, food, atmosphere and the host the best.”
“The food is incredible as is the service. This is one of our families favorite restaurants in Boston.
Vegetarian options: Lots of lentil, collard and barley crepe dishes . We are not vegetarian but find ourselves ordering the vegetarian options because they are so delicious
Kid-friendliness: We have brought our son since he was 7, and have observed plenty of families here
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and ample seating/aisles for a wheelchair”
“This place is awesome. We ended up here by chance to have a drink before going to La Fabrica. And it was the best choice, Andy is amazing and we ended up staying here for more than one drink because of him. Very good drinks and great vibe”
“My friend had her birthday party there! There were about 40 people there and the bartender was great! My drink, a gin mule, was excellent and I was drinking them all night. They provided great food and the atmosphere all around was really fun. I think this will become a common Friday night place for my friends and I!”
“Some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life and we eat out weekly. My 21 year-old son BC student athlete said the same thing and actually took a group of friends back for dinner the same night we had brunch! Although our server was kind and knowledgeable, the service was a bit inattentive did not match the elite level of the food. However, I'd give our experience a 4.5/5 and I can't wait to go back. I'll just be very assertive with my service requests.”
“What the menu lacks in variety, it makes up for in quality. We had the kebabs, chips & salsa and the chicken sandwich, and every single one blew away our expectations. Flavors were complex and robust, food perfectly prepared, and the worst part of the meal was when the decent portions were gone.
Service was fantastic. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted after a 7.5hr car ride in dense New England traffic, and truly, this nerd-bar scratched every itch after a long, stressful day.”

“I wandered into Harvest based solely on their Google rating, with no inclination as to what the menu might hold. I'm so glad I did! The staff was friendly and attentive. My goblet was refilled before the thought crossed my mind that I may need more. Dishes were cleared almost immediately after each course. The food came out beautifully presented and piping hot. I ordered the Humboldt Fog plate, Mushroom & French Onion soup (Who thought to put miso in it?! Yum!) and roasted asparagus. I was very pleased and would certainly recommend folks give Harvest a try!”
“I can praise Henrietta”s table enough! The choices are amazing all healthy and sounds delicious and fresh! Having gluten and dairy allergies it’s hard to find a restaurant that is kind and respectful and understanding is hard but here they will make sure you have a fabulous safe meal. Been here a few times and last night we had Brit who was absolutely a doll helped me get out of my scrod box and try the salmon. I HIGHLY suggest for all. Thank you Brit much appreciate it”
“Very welcoming.
“The food at the Shy Bird in Fenway was absolutely delicious, especially the Chicken Dunks with the homemade sauce dips they were all so good we couldn't choose a favorite and the butternut soup was absolutely incredible, with its little kick of spice and sunflower seeds! Our server was top-notch,very attentive, friendly and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was beautiful, and the staff was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. We are looking forward to our visits this summer during the Red Sox games.”
“10/10! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! Truly an amazing experience. From the food, to the staff, to the nightlife. My husband and I were there last night for an overdue date night and we both agreed that we made the PERFECT decision with going here! We will definitely be repeat customers!”

“Cocktail: The Bam Bam was yummy. I had 2 😀
Apps: I'm a firm believer that bread should be free, so $10 for 4 pieces feels outrageous to me, but it was great bread to sop up the fabulous sauce from the mussels (in addition to the 2 grilled pieces that they came with). The chicken bites were delicious, and the green beans were very tasty as well.
Service: Our waiter Nick was great and didn't bat an eye while 4 women talked about perimenopause, and he even appropriately added to the conversation! I asked him what his favorite dish was, and I went with it-the gnocchi parisienne. The gnocchi was soft, and I think a bit grilled (homemade)? The pesto was different and delicious.
When 2 of us unexpectedly got showered with a bottle of champagne being opened by a server behind us, we were properly apologized to by the person who opened it, Nick, and the manager who took a round of drinks off our bill 👍
Atmosphere: Lovely atmosphere. We were seated in the front room but close to the back where the band was. It was enjoyable, but a little loud as we were there to chat and catch up. The live music sounded like yacht rock to start but then was fun with a jazzy take on a couple of Bruno Mars songs etc.
Parking: Free validated parking a few minutes walk away is fabulous in Harvard Square!”
“This place is overall very good! The environment is clean, and the service is quick, which I really appreciated. The boba isn’t bad, but it’s not the best I’ve had — it could definitely use a little work to compete with other spots. I tried the sandwich, and while it was decent, it had way too many carrots for my taste. On the flip side, the cookies were delicious — definitely a standout! Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality and atmosphere mostly make up for it. Would come back, especially for a sweet treat!”
