Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. Today I drove 28 miles from home just to enjoy dinner at this great restaurant. Thank you for the good food and good service.“

Hidden in a small convenience store in an end of the block row house, with just a small folding sign out front… this is truly a hidden gem.

Truly tastes authentic, lots of chicken included, and the sauce separates to show all the tasty layers before you get to mix it all back up. Rice was well seasoned and flavorful. Good portion of rice too. Food stayed warm on the 30m trip home too.“

This is a family run business in the heart of Baltimore social life, between Inner Harbor, Harbor East and Fells Point (more to Fells Point side). It is our favorite Indian restaurant in Baltimore by far. My husband and I really enjoy their lunch buffets, they service freshly made food and have a variety of options. The lunch buffet has Indian salads, sometimes vegetable samosas, at least a few different meat entrees, at least a few different vegetable entrees, dessert, and always hot chai tea with sugar options. My husband and I enjoy going to not only eat the food, but also appreciate how friendly and hospitable Amir and his family are. They also have respectful staff, and run a very peaceful operation. We appreciate every visit, and when we leave, we feel like we have gained 5 pounds each (in a good way!). Looking forward to our next visit :) Thank you Mr. Amir and family!“

“Been here twice, once was years ago pre-pandemic and it was fabulous. We said we should come back here more often but never did… then the pandemic messed everything up and we went travel nursing. Now we’re back in town again… AND ITS STILL AMAZING. I got a jalfrezi, and hubby got tikka masala. The medium felt like a true medium, not whitewashed. Service was lovely. We were one of two couples who dined in, but looks like they have a busy takeout business. So glad they didn’t disappear in the pandemic like so many other places! At first glance, it reminds me of my home “Bluecity”.
The food “flight chart Menu” Tikki chatt was super tasty💕. So mesmerising at first bite. Dal makhhani and garlic naan is top on cherry. It took me back to streets of Jodhpur🥹.
A nice interaction with Founder “ Radhika”. She is so kind and enthusiastic about different cuisines. The staff is very nice and humble.
Upon a careful tour of her restaurant interior, I found canvas from the Jodhpur city 🤩.
I do highly recommend this place “Verandha” to person who like Indian street food.“

“By far the best food and service in Baltimore! I always come in for the lunch buffet and the food is DELICIOUS! A lot of options and sometimes there is this special desert that is this doughnut drizzled with honey(?) which I love, and always have it with the complimentary Nepalese milk tea. “Fairly new to visiting the restaurant however the four (4) times I have dined or had carryout, the staff was welcoming, pleasant, the food was delicious (sidebar: I recommend the cream of crab soup), and the atmosphere was relaxing. My high school class reunion committee even planned our meeting there and was able to plan professionally without a lot of interruptions and A-1 service. I would recommend and do not have any bad reviews! Continue being a staple in the community.“

“I had an issue with my order from GrubHub that unfortunately led to me not receiving it but the manager called me two days later to let me know he was out for a couple days and was so sorry to hear about my troubles. He immediately offered to fix it and sent me the food I had been waiting on free of charge. He really made me feel better about the situation and like he cared. I have never had someone show me that level of concern for my issue. All my friends recommend this place, and I am happy to say that I do as well.“

“I am a pizza snob. I have had the best in Connecticut, NY and Chicago...Baltimore's has one other great pizzeria (which I will not name here) but this spot!?!?!? OMG. Indian Pizza was the hook that drew me in. The Indian food on the menu is fantastic, and then the Indian pizza? Its the best pizza in Baltimore and can hold its own with the best up north. Seriously. The staff is kind and its the perfect spot to order and pick up food. But yeah, the pizza here is as good as advertised if not better.“
