“First time here. Based on reviews it appeared this is a great place for Vietnamese good. We came in on a Saturday there was only one other table. We were seated but service started out a little slow. We waited to place orders and food was a little slow to come out. The food tasted good. I had the beef stew with egg noodles teh overall flavor was good with good selection of meat and vegtables. Overall the portion size was a little small compared to many other resturants we have been to. The appetizers were ok. The sauces that came with the rolls were ok. Not great but ok. Cafe Suda, I have had better. The folks there were very friendly. The ambiance was very nice. We loved the flowers and this resturant appears to have a full bar. “I ordered the Pho Eye Round Steak & Well Done Brisket and it was so delicious! It was accompanied by a large amount of fresh bean sprouts, basil leaves, chopped onions, cilantro and jalapeños. “Always an amazing experience. My favorite is the Bo Luc Lac in either salad or hot stone bowl. Pictured you will see both ways. The crispy rolls are great, summer rolls with both shrimp/pork version or bbq pork version. The pho is amazing. Fried rice is a generous portion of seafood/meat. By far the best Bo Luc Lac in the area; tried close to 10 others. Always room to sit down but busy. Love walking the hallways in Eden Center, it's like you're in Vietnam. The staff is very welcoming and nice, you'll see the same three ladies every visit.“

The first time I had the rice plate with grilled lemongrass chicken (com ga nuong), the second time I had the pho tai chin (eye round steak and well done brisket), and the third time I had the vermicelli bowl with grilled lemongrass chicken (bun ga nuong). The lemongrass chicken here is so good. The food reminds me of the rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and pho that I had when I visited Saigon last year. “I got the Com Tam (which is broken rice with grilled pork, sunshine fried egg, shredded pork skin, and chả trứng) last Saturday (Aug 9,2025); the taste is like homemade food. This made me remember back when I ate Com tam in VietNam way back long time ago. I loved the grilled pork, which was tender and the chả trứng (VN steamed Egg meatloaf) is kind of cold, I knew that they had made before, it didn’t not have time to do everything in the morning. For me, it’s ok since the kitchen had to prepare for the food. Overall, I like this Com tam, with a Ok price , around $18 for a dish like this. And I’m happy with that. This brought back the time I was in secondary school and I always picked Cơm Tấm for almost every lunch while I had a break time in school. Thanks.“

“Me and my daughter had never tried pho before today but have always liked Vietnamese food and new cuisines. We picked this place for our first pho and it was definitely the right decision; we arrived and were seated immediately. We got #109 beef pho, and it arrived very quickly and was incredible. Beef tasted super fresh and the flavor was just perfect. As a side dish, we ordered the chicken egg rolls and they were so good that we got another plate. The restaurant itself is very spacious and spotless. Our waiter was super patient and recommended the right dish for a first timer. Highly recommend!“

“Nina and Mike have built an incredibly special place in DC. The pho is delicious, highly recommend the spicy lemongrass pho. I typically go for a 13 full spice, but sometimes I change it up. My husband is a big fan of the banh mi, which comes with sweet potato tempura which is sooo goood! I can go on forever, I've happily ate everything on the menu. The staff are all lovely and friendly — together with the owners they a great big family filling bellies and hearts.“

“Food was great! Don’t let the emptiness scare you. The restaurant is kinda hidden in the mall on the entrance end of the Eden center. The service was great! The lady is kind of checking on you to make sure your needs are met and the food is great. Hu tieu Nam Vang was great, great sauce and toppings. Their signature “Bánh ướt dĩa chồng dĩa Buôn Mê Thuộc” aka rice paper plate on plate was good with rice paper to wrap with herbs and different hams like chạo tôm (shrimp paste wrapped on sugar cane, vietnamese ham, grilled pork) and 3 different sauces (fish sauce, fermented fish sauce, and peanut sauce). Bánh bèo is good. I’m used to Hue style which the rice batter is thinner but this is still good.“

“The food here is so delicious and authentic. I lived in Vietnam for ~18 months, and I haven't tasted many of the flavors I did at Bánh Cuốn Thăng Long in the nearly six years since I've been home. It was a lovely and nostalgic experience.

I ordered mì quảng and bánh cuốn Thăng Long. I hadn't had either of these in the States before. Because my husband is less familiar with Vietnamese food and was a little hesitant about the things I wanted, we also ordered gỏi cuốn tôm thịt and bún thịt nướng chả giò for a little more familiarity, as he had already tried these in other restaurants.

The bánh cuốn was made well and the nước chấm was delicious. I am somewhat hesitant about chả lụa, but this meat was flavorful and I enjoyed it. It also came with shrimp cakes, which was new to me. They were crispy, but not very flavorful.

The gỏi cuốn was fresh and warm and came with warm peanut sauce. This was new to my husband, and he remarked that the textures and temperature were different from what he was used to, but for me it felt like I was right back on the streets of Saigon.

The mì quảng was so fragrant and the pork inside was so flavorful. This was a dish I'd only had once or twice when I was in Vietnam, and it made me regret not having it more. It was SO good. The herbs and vegetables that came with it have names I never learned (besides like mint and cilantro), but they are so delicious and perfect. Would absolutely recommend this dish.

I tried the chả giò in my husband's dish, and it was the first time I've had good Vietnamese fried spring rolls in the USA. I didn't taste any of the rest of his bún thịt nướng, but he enjoyed it, and it looked great.

This was way too much food for two people, but I was just so excited to try everything. We ate as much as we could and left feeling very very full, but it was worth it.

Note that the prices reflected in the most recent menus posted on Google are not accurate, as prices have increased from last year. We spent $70 after tax and tip (this being an abnormally large amount of food for two people, so it's understandable).“

Like a lot of the other reviews, the staff is efficient at what they do but they don’t care for any pleasantries. The Pho came out quickly after we ordered even though the restaurant was packed on a weekday afternoon. After that, our waiter never checked in with us again.
The pho itself tasted good and had big portions. Meat quality was decent as well. They do use good amount of MSG that I can taste.

“My late Dad and l had always visited this 75 pho shop weekly. The soup broth is always rich, tasty in dark brown color ( from lots of beef bone in the soup ). The base seasoning is just right- not so strong and is just enough for you to smell it from the place’s front door. Lean meat is very tender. What my Dad and l could never stand - whenever we went eat at different pho places - is that the 5 spice base is way too strong!? The broth isn’t rich and yet, too much sugar that they added in.
