“The first time I came here with friends I got the Old Bay fries and stayed for about an hour. The fries were good, but it didnt seem like they tossed them in the seasoning, just dumped it on, so it was concentrated in some spots and lacking in others. The second time I came, it was after 10:30, and I was turned away at the door because they start checking IDs at that time. Apparently they won't give people Xs or stamp their hands, they just don't let you come in if you're under 21. Not appreciated, and I hope they consider adjusting that policy as a respectable establishment on the block.”

From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with genuine smiles and a welcoming attitude. They were super helpful, answering all my questions about the different smoothies and making great recommendations based on what I was looking for.

When you go inside it is very under decorated, but clean and they have a good sense of branding with their black and yellow color scheme. The tacos are amazing, flavorful, and consistent every time I go. The ingredients taste fresh. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the shrimp tacos and the birria tacos! 🌮 This is our new go-to taco place. You have to go- you won’t be disappointed.”

“I’m fairly new to road biking and had just bought a new to me road bike from FB Marketplace. I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!”

“I tried the falafel Sandwich with Za'atar fries. For the falafel sandwich, I paired with invisible sauce which made for a spicy taste to the sandwich. I loved how affordable it was. I was able to both items for ~$9. The sandwich was $4.50 and the fries $4. Za'atar fries weren't the freshest, but the seasoning blend (which consisted of dry herbs) on them made for an unique taste.

Can substitute protein with a vegan shawarma that seems to made in-house.

This location is in the midst of the University of Maryland area and has parking in front of building to easily get in and out. It is located right over Baltimore Ave. The facility is clean and it is takeout only.”

“I like their food, but they should make drinks mandatory with orders. Sometimes, for some reason, even if you select a drink, it doesn't appear on the order. And when you ask for it, they don't want to give it to you. And even when they have given it to me, they do it as if it were a courtesy. It's included in the price. If you explicitly say you don't want a drink, that's fine, but it's not always like that. And some employees should be more courteous in these situations.”

“Excellent food and customer service for catering! My daughter’s field hockey team was playing at UMD and we wanted to host a post game dinner/tailgate for the team and parents. I’m so glad I discovered Paisano’s! They were so kind and accommodating from the moment I placed the order up until delivery - I even called them 30 min. before our order was scheduled to be delivered to see if they could come later as the game went into overtime and they accommodated us! We ordered the baked ziti, garlic spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, and garden salad. (They also offer gluten sensitive pasta which was a big plus.) The food was delicious and delivered right on time and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend their catering services!”

One day after work my coworker was craving Aroy Thai and I decided to check it out since she's obsessed with this place and it did not disappoint.

I got the beef pad see ew for takeout and omg it was so good. I ate my food so FAST. There's a good amount of food at least for me. I ate half of it and I could save the rest for later. The service was good, the person who rang us up was really nice.

It's a cute small place for someone to enjoy a meal either solo, with friends or on a date and can even people watch while doing so. Last time I went with my coworker to pick up her food. There were an older couple on a date. I really like this and I understand her obsession. I would definitely come back and they will probably see again next week with coworker.”
