“We love Oyster Mania Mondays at Pearl Dive! We make it a regular date night outing to indulge in dozens of half-priced, delicious, fresh, and cold oysters sourced from various locations. Additionally, I always order the incredibly tasty mussels served with toasted baguette slices to soak up all that delicious sauce. The staff consistently delivers friendly and attentive service too, which makes each visit enjoyable.“
“Very welcoming and attentive staff, server and manager! Finding "hidden gem" restaurants is one of my favorite things. Stan's DC Restaurant is below street level, down some steep stairs.I ordered wings based on reviews...and wow, they were HUGE and tasty, lightly fried without being greasy. The barbeque sauce on the side was very tasty. *Keep in mind, 8 whole wings is really 16 traditional.*My wife enjoyed her ribs as well. The Ciroc Obama...whoa. Served as a tall glass of flavored vodkas with ice, plus a sidecar of OJ. That'll do the job. My Old Fashioned was tasty too.Overall, a nice find. Reasonably priced, good food, locals lively vibe with friendly service.“

“Had a wonderful weekday evening meal at The Walrus. Brayan delivered fantastic service… attentive without being overbearing, knowledgable about selections, and quick with delivery when able. The tuna appetizer was phenomenal and the grilled fish was delicious but, as the entree, it was barely larger than the appetizer. All things considered, I got more than my money’s worth and the whole affair was made that much better by the waiter, Brayan (apologies for any misspelling of his name).“
“My husband made a reservation for my birthday dinner and the food, service and atmosphere was exceptional. Our server Francisco was top notched and very professional in detailing the menu and offering suggestions on drinks and food. A must go to when in DC, you won’t be disappointed.“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Los Caballeros for their weekend brunch and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff and the owner himself. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and had a laid-back vibe, perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. Now let's talk about the food. Los Caballeros proved to be a pleasant surprise. They were able to accommodate options for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians. But what truly stole the show for me were the drinks. I highly recommend trying their pitcher of tamarindo margarita. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, and definitely hit the spot. They also had other options like mimosas and bloody marys for those who prefer a classic brunch drink. The owner, who was also our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made sure we were enjoying our meal and even gave us some recommendations for their signature dishes. It was evident that he takes great pride in his restaurant and wants his customers to have a memorable experience. To end our brunch on a sweet note, we decided to try their dessert. And let me tell you, it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.Overall, my experience at Los Caballeros was exceptional. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out for their weekend brunch or even for a regular meal. The owner and his team have truly created a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for their customers. So next time you're in the mood for some delicious food, head over to Los Caballeros and treat yourself to a delightful brunch. You won't regret it.Parking: This area of parking gets very busy due to being right beside the area of the Capitol.“
“We went out for my friend’s birthday dinner to Hank’s and the food and service was amazing! We brought our dog Frank with us as well and the staff loved him and brought out some water ❤️ The drinks were fantastic, we got the mango marg and a spicy marg, both were so good. The hushpuppies were to die for and the manager brought out some orange blossom honey for us to pour over which was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. We also got the Lobster deviled eggs, again—so good, and the fish and chips, mussels, and eastern shore crab dip. Everything was amazing and fresh, they tell you where each oyster is caught which I loved. So good, I’m gonna be thinking about this place for forever!“
“In love with this restaurant went the first time for Restaurant week . I felt in love with their ceviche. My husband and I are coming every Friday since for birria tacos , ceviche and margaritas!Everything is amazing from the Birria omelette to the flan. I can recommend enough this amazing place !!“
“We dropped in for a late lunch and were fortunate to get a table (reservations strongly recommended.) Absolutely perfect! I had the Seared Salmon with Mediterranean Couscous, Asparagus and Heirloom Tomatoes. My wife had Roasted Chicken with Mushroom Parmesan Risotto. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was exemplary—Manuel took great care of us and presented his business card so that we could ask for him next time we visit.“
“Today, we were incredibly fortunate to visit a unique restaurant, Monocle, located on Capitol Hill. We initially chose it due to its proximity to our hotel, but it turned out to be a true "Washingtonian gem." Opened in 1960, this restaurant has been operated by the same family ever since. The menu is concise, which we believe highlights the culinary excellence presented in merely five dishes. We were in search of "authentic American steaks from real American beef from real American cows." What we received far exceeded our expectations. Both steaks we ordered were exquisitely prepared to perfection. We both agreed that these were the best steaks we've ever had the pleasure of eating in our lives. #MasterpieceAs if the meal itself wasn't enough, our server, Marinos Apostolopoulos, provided us with a genuine journey through the history of this establishment. We are deeply grateful!Given its location near the Capitol, the restaurant has been visited by at least half of American politicians over the last 60 years, including Presidents Nixon, Kennedy, Bush, and Clinton. Celebrities like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, among other incredible individuals, have also frequented this place. The number of VIPs and their dedications displayed in their own photos hanging on every wall is truly astonishing. One of the servers celebrated his 50th work anniversary here two months ago with a surprise party for 250 people, an event that was featured on the front page of the Washington Post, which we had the opportunity to read. The place is beautiful, with incredibly friendly service and excellent food. The wonderful experiences we had will stay with us forever. It's worth traveling for moments like these. We highly recommend it and would love to return someday.“
“The food here is AMAZING. I'm actually glad this place is far from me and on the expensive side because if it was closer and cheaper I'd be eating here constantly. My table got the waygu egg rolls, Mac and cheese, broccolini, Hawaiian steak, jerk crab cakes, and the jerk lollipop chicken. All of it was on point. Drinks are pretty expensive for what you get. That was probably the only disappointment. Music is a little loud for my liking but it is a minor nit in an absolutely amazing experience.“
“I taken there for the first time on my b'day, which was March 10th. We sat at the bar and I had THE BEST experience!! ? Erica, the bartender, took great care of us and she made sure that I had the best b'day experience...she was wonderful! ?The food was delicious and I happily got a lil tipsy from the lavender mimosas I had. ???“
“Fun spot for dinner and good food. Our server was very nice, yet didn't course out our food, so we had two pasta dishes and fish show up at the same time. The octopus starter was my favorite dish. The pasta and fish were also good, but not necessarily the hottest when we ate them, given everything arriving at once“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at fantastic seafood restaurant that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance exuded elegance, and I knew I was in for a treat. One of the highlights of my experience was the impeccable service provided by Veronica, our server for the evening. Her extensive knowledge about the food and menu truly enhanced our dining experience. She guided us through the menu with expertise, recommending dishes that perfectly suited our preferences. Moreover, it was my birthday celebration, and Veronica went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. She surprised me with a stunning birthday dessert that truly wowed me. This dessert wasn't just delicious; it was an experience in itself. Veronica added a hint of rum and skillfully lit it on fire, creating a mesmerizing display that left me in awe. It was a phenomenal finale to an already extraordinary meal.Overall, my experience surpassed all expectations. From the delectable seafood dishes to the exceptional service, every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch.“
“Beautiful restaurant of Spain right in Washington, DC on Wharf strip. My husband and I enjoyed our Tapas lunch. And the most delicious dessert cake I’ve ever personally had (in the top 3) is the Cherry Blossom Cake for two. There is edible specks of gold on it. It comes with lemon sorbet. I highly recommend that desert.“
“I dropped in on an early Monday evening for take-out and had a drink while I waited. They have some pretty awesome menu items and it was quite difficult for me to chose. I opted for the veggie chimichanga. I ordered a margarita, snacked on some chips and delicious salsa and enjoyed the wait. After I dug in at home, I was pleasantly pleased with the presentation of my food along with the tastiness. It was amazing! I couldn't believe I've lived in the area my whole young adult years and never been there! Definitely a place to keep in your pocket!“
“Immediately walking into Grill Marx customer service was amazing! The bartender, Sophie, was a prestine drink making machine! Not to mention, Jackie, Nikki, and Logan were extremely team oriented and helpful as well!I ordered the smokehouse burger, medium, per recommendation of Sophie and Logan, and it came out perfectly pink. I can definitely say that my dining experience at Grill Marx made my day 1000x better. 10/10 would recommend, it is truly the best restaurant in College Park, MD. I will be returning soon!“
“Love the ambiance here! Very historic with a twist of modern decor! It's that winding staircase for me! Located inside the Moxy hotel, this place is super cute! We celebrated a friend's birthday over dinner! Everyone had an amazing time. The service was very good. The steak frites was delicious. Their well-crafted cocktails are excellent. Parking can be tricky, but I lucked out and snagged a spot across the street! I plan to come back for brunch!!“
“Some great food and a few misses. The oysters were great- cold, briny, and delicious. I ordered the grilled tuna off of their special spring menu and it was phenomenal. Great flavor and cooked well. The most egregious flaw was a medium-rare steak that was ordered was served medium-well. The waiter wasn’t able to provide information about what oysters were available and the bar struggled with a martini. I’ll give it another shot but expected a little more for the price and reputation.“
“I wish I took pictures! Bummed I forgot.Food is delicious! It is served in easy to share bowls with rice separate.. you can try a little of everyone’s order. ?The atmosphere is cozy and warm. They have a second floor loft looking down to the bar and dining room area.Servers are friendly. Ours didn’t offer many suggestions, but did alert us to spice levels.I will definitely be back!“
“This weekend we had a little staycation at the Conrad Hilton and went for brunch in Estuary. From all the people we met and interacted with, Alex in Estuary restaurant made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. We want to give special thanks to Alex who is an example of hospitality. His communication was great, he heard that we were on staycation, getting away from the kids for a day and he treated us to Mikosas, desserts and kept checking on US. Thank you so much Alex!! Conrad Hilton and Estuary are happy to have to have you!“
“If you like interesting, delicious food... Go here!! Spicy, flavor packed. Possibly the best restaurant in Silver Spring. The pickled mango dishes are always mouth watering. Green tea salad is bitter in a good way.Yelp messed up my order and they were incredibly understanding (I advise calling them to order directly though).“
“we went to the Vegas location and how Gordon Ramsay can put his name to the crap this place serves up is beyond belief. the batter is way to thick and over cooked and the highlight should not be the Dijon mayonnaise that comes with the food. terrible food and a waste of $39“
“Fantastic find! We shared the burrata, which was very good. My husband had oysters, which he loves and eats frequently. These were fresh and just the right amount of briny. I had the seafood chowder - tasty and spicy without too much heat to enjoy. Sizeable portion - I brought half home. We shared a creme brûlée- terrific. But what set this place apart was the service - attentive, incredibly polite and highly competent, like the level of service you get at a Michelin starred restaurant. We were lucky to get a walk-in table at 5:30. I'd get a reservation. I can see why it's so busy - great place.“
“Great atmosphere; the place gets busy at 7 and later, where it is bustling and great vibes even on a weekday. That’s when I would recommend coming here. Great service, our waiter checked on us very very often, and was attentive. Food was alright. The po boy was alright, wouldn’t order again. The brisket sandwich was really good though! Fries were soft, not crunchy, which I actually enjoyed but I know a lot of people don’t. Pecans brownie was soooooo good! Super warm and soft and strong chocolate, really generous on the pecans too! And a nice scoop of ice cream. Overall, if you come here I would come at 7 or later, get the brisket sandwich or smash burger and the pecan brownie.“
“Bar Spero was exceptional. Far more a restaurant than a bar. Though drinks were also brilliant. The bartender Savi proved a knowledgable mixologist. If you enjoy mezcal I highly recommend the Dead Lady cocktail. The drink was smoky but well balanced and smooth enough to be dangerous. However, the drinks were only a prelude, the true fire of Bar Spero is the food. Our meal was a delightful, delicious, delectable multisensory feast.Everything was amazing from the cucumber, herb salad to the burnt cheese cake ice cream. However, my personal highlight was the seafood. I'd recently returned from a beach trip and assure you everything tasted catch of the day fresh. The raw oysters were some of the best I've had. The grilled octopus was sweet, tender and cooked to perfection, it's sauce, a squid ink reduction only emphasized the utter genius therein. Though all the seafood from Jonah Crab Rice to the Tuna Tostadas to the Ember Roasted Scallops were unforgettably delicious. The food could make a convert out of me and will out of you.Our server Blithe was personable, humorous and attentive, without hovering. Her table service was impeccable and she clearly loved her job. Though really all of the service was noteworthy. The communal feel of Bar Spero made it feel like a family. (I love that tips are split front to back of the house)It was an honor when Chef Jason came to out to our table to greet us. This man is an artist, his work practically brought me to tears of joy repeatedly.Do your self a favor and go to Bar Spero, you will thank me for it.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and found many options on the menu.Parking: It took a few minutes looking but we found parking in front of the GAO“
“Fabulous, friendly and welcoming service. Our waiter (maybe Oswin from the receipt?) was particularly good, as were all the staff that delivered wine and food throughout dinner. Excellent menu with tons of delicious, unique, gluten-free options. Great location in the heart of silver spring with easy access to public garage parking. Festive atmosphere on a bustling Friday evening. Highly recommended.“
“This is me and my daughter's Tuesday happy hour spot and we love it. The food comes out fast and hot and it is delicious. They have plenty of parking, the prices are reasonable. Ask for Biannca whenever you come she is wonderful and she knows how to make a great drink. 2 thumbs up!Parking: Plenty of spots“
“The lobster rolls and lobster bisque are DELICIOUS! Quick service and high-quality food that really satisfies that seafood craving. The inside of the restaurant is nice and modern, but doesn't have much seating beyond 5 or so groups, so first come, first serve on those. Well worth the trip!“
“The food here is extremely fresh and good. The service is also always a plus they care about there customers. The spice wings are great, the steak suya, spinach and jollie rice. All amazing! I am about to try the Asun egg rolls first time buy?“
“Whether you're craving classic Jamaican jerk or want to brunch out on curry, Negril is the place for real deal island flavor. Be sure to order their Sorrel Hibiscus/Ginger drink, it’s delicious and perfectly accompanies your meal. Negril is an absolute gem for those craving a delicious taste of Jamaica without leaving town. Highly recommended!“
“Don’t let Atxondo’s modest looks deceive you. I was skeptical but some friends wanted to try this place so I went along. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ate vegetarian and everything was excellent. I can recommend the brussel sprouts, tortilla española, crispy potatoes, coliflor, golden beets, fried shishitos, and risotto. I almost forgot to mention the interesting drink menu and the best flan I’ve ever had. Service was great too. Go with a group so you can try everything!“
“El Cielo made our Valentine’s celebration a memorable experience! I wanted to surprise my husband this year and the CCO, Pedro, was very helpful when it came to helping me with last minute reservations. The entire staff was friendly, eloquent, and very professional. My husband and I are both Spanish speakers (it is our mother tongue) and we loved interacting with the staff in Spanish (this made it so much more special to us). Now, as for the food. Let me just start by saying that when I told my husband what our dining experience would be like, he was very skeptical. He is an amateur fighter, and when he is not doing “fighting camps” he LOVES to eat. When we arrived he was already making plans to go eat arepas after, to finish filling his tummy. Needles to say, arepas did not happen after, as he was extremely full from all the courses. Each meal was beautifully presented, and tasted just as divine! We loved knowing what each meal represented and they are all a beautiful homage to Colombia. The atmosphere in El Cielo, is very cozy. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself makes you feel like you are eating at a friends house. From the decorations to the music. Y para terminar, usando las palabras de mi hermoso esposo después de finalizar nuestra cena “Parce, toda esta comida estaba tan rica que te hace sentir que estás en el cielo”. El Cielo, un nombre tan propio para este encantador lugar. Nuevamente, muchísimas gracias a todos por hacer, y ser parte, de esta experiencia única e inolvidable para nosotros. Hasta la próxima!“
“Ordered off DoorDash, wanted pizza and wings but from a place I’ve nvr tried. I ordered the small cheese pizza and 5 hot lemon pepper wings. Wings was a little too saucy, but still good and pizza was great. Taste very similar to Ledos pizza which is one of my favs. I will definitely be ordering again to try the chicken gyro!“
“Really wish I could give this place a better rating! The people running the place were so nice and friendly — and it’s a great local establishment. Our rockfish sandwich was fine — but we had two catfish sandwiches, and the breading on both was just too salty. Maybe we got a bad batch, so I’m willing to give the place a second try!“
“Ordered breakfast here this morning On a whim. Didn't see the atmosphere so thats why the lack of stars. Never been here before or know anyone who has. Plenty of menu options along with many ways for you to customize your item. We were happily surprised at how good the food was and the good portions. I'll def order breakfast here again. Will have to check out lunch/dinner too.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options.“
“I went with my boyfriend and we saw the beautiful igloo that they have in the rooftop. We wanted to have a bottle of wine and something to eat but we did not have a reservation, the manager James Bone, very attentive, accommodated us with a reservation and was very attentive to our entire evening, excellent hospitality that he provided us , food quality it was excellent and the best part the dessert with an amazing culinary technique, absolutely we will to back.“
“This place has the best crabs. They never tell me that they don’t have crabs. They have new management and he has given this place a new face lift. His staff members cook really well, the food is fresh and they are very professional and the best part they always give me extra crabs. This place makes me so happy ?Parking: Lots of parking availableWheelchair accessibility: You can access by wheelchair“
“With fun decor and great oysters at good prices, this is a great date destination for dinner. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable even though the restaurant and patio were relatively full. The cocktails were also good!“
“Shellfish Market is an outstanding dining destination that definitely deserves my five stars! The Red snapper w/ jerk Thai fried rice is an absolute must try. The Red snapper is cooked to perfection, and the jerk Thai fried rice is bursting with flavor. The salmon cheesesteak, a personal favorite, is a must order item that will leave you wanting more. The customer service is top-notch. (Shoutout to the bartender, she gon get you right & she’s a sweetheart). The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal. This place is a gem of a restaurant that excels in both food quality and service. It's definitely a five-star dining experience that you won't want to miss!P.S. aint nothing like a black owned establishment where the owner is hands on & always there to meet & greet his customers!“
“No nonsense lobster rolls. Flaky, buttery goodness. Limited seating but we were there on a warm, sunny day so were able to eat outside. However, this is definitely a carry out establishment over dine in. I’d also recommend for lunch over dinner.“
“First lovely day in a while, got to sit out on the patio and enjoy a few drinks and some oysters! Service was pretty slow but since we weren't in a rush it didn't seem so bad. Fries were crispy and the oysters were fresh as always.“
“Had a Jamaican Pattie once over 20 yrs ago and it made a huge impact on me then. You can taste the heat from the scotch bonnet which at the time, was the most delicious and spiciest thing I had had ever. Today’s brought back those memories. We also ordered the chix curry and oxtail stew, which all came in perfectly made. This might just become our weekly lunches delivery staple!“
“This place is the best kept secret in PG county. Seafood is fresh, I always get the seafood platter with whiting, shrimp, oysters with fries and hush puppies. So so good! Employees are always nice and prices are reasonable. Been going here over 10 years ?“
“Recommended by a friend who visited DC. We had originally a reservation the hostesses were very friendly but decided for takeout instead. The menu is definitely for people of a refine pallet and limited selections for the regular standard style of food selections. The short experience inside the restaurant was of a warm, cozy and friendly vibe among the patrons parred with good food. The historical architecture makes a perfect backdrop for dining too.“
“Service is much better if you're not dining solo -- I've done both, and believe me, it's a big difference. Menu is limited but the food is usually pretty good, if you can get someone to notice you're there. On my last visit, the only person who saw that I hadn't been waited on was a kind bus person, but I had already lost my appetite and left.“
“Under new ownership/management and what difference!!!! Friendly staff, excellent customer service and good food, always make a winning combination. Bought crabs yesterday and I asked to see what the mediums looked like. They didn't bring out one hand-picked crab, they brought out individual boxes of small, mediums AND large for me to compare! Went back to get dinner. Everything was cooked perfect and the collards were off the chain. My go-to now for seafood!“
“An intimate, golden-hued establishment offering exemplary customer service. Freshly sourced ingredients allow patrons to personally select their seafood for customized preparation of the ice. resulting in delectable dining experiences to take out. No dining in.“
“Visiting from St Louis and so glad we came across Luke’s Lobster! We ordered Luke’s flight so we could try all three rolls. Each one was so delicious. We also got the lobster bisque and NE clam chowder. Very good!! Friendly service and neat atmosphere.“
“I am not sure if they have been reading their reviews or just decided to upgrade, but the food, service, prices and quantity has been worth every visit. Even when I took a chance and ordered items I never eat, they were spot on. Consistently great food. They slap.“
