“We've been buying these dumplings from Costco for the past year and love them. We were so excited to find a storefront. The food was so good! We ordered the pork bao bun and the pork and chive dumplings. Prices were reasonable and the portions are perfect for sampling.“

“Been scouting this place for about 3 weeks for a birthday dinner. I called over a week in advance for a party of 7 - 13 people. They were able too accommodate and the food was GOOOOOD! That hotpot was smokin and I thought I choose a milder one but it was excellent in taste for me. Now this was the first time I have had it so don't come at me if it doesn't hit you taste buds the same.“

“Hhheeeyyyy FF. Dropped in for one thing and one thing only. Had a mad taste for a carryout steak and Cheese. This spot met my pilot. Hot, juicy, the extra mayo and onions complimented the steak and the soft roll. Fries were crisp and hot. This is an (RTS) Return to Spot.“

“I think this place needs higher stars. We're visiting from Florida and made our way to Chinatown and were looking for a decent place to eat. The food and service was excellent. Better than I expected. We ate the curry chicken which tasted like real curry. Sesame chicken was fresh and flavorful. The food came out quickly. I highly recommend this place.“

“This location has good customer service and the food is good. The egg foo young was no longer a favorite because it was not good. You can tell when a good cook is no longer preparing the food in that kitchen in the restaurant. Now it is much better. Just visited 3 days ago.“

“We were on our trip to DC. By chance I pulled into the parking lot to check GPS. The wife suggested we grab a quick bite. The food was very decent. The waitress was not rude, but not polite either. Maybe that’s the thing with Chinese, we are not warm to our own kind.“

“Takeout only. Cash only. You can call ahead to place a pickup order. Wide variety of food options. It's delicious, great size portions, and the prices aren't bad. This is the only Chinese food I eat within the DMV, I will, and I have traveled over an hour to get food from them.“

“Panda Cafe is the only Chinese restaurant I go to—and for good reason! The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious😋. The staff are incredibly kind and polite, and the service is impressively fast. The restaurant is clean, and they package everything so well for takeout. I genuinely love this place. Thank you for the amazing service and consistently great food! I used to live 3 min away from here, now I live about 25min away but I still always come here💙!“

“My favorite part about this experience was the karaoke had every song you could imagine, the rooms were sizable, and the drinks were relatively affordable we had a group of perhaps 12 and the room was able to be split amongst all of us. Reserve in advance!“

“If you’re looking for the best takeout in the DMV, this spot is it! Their mumbo sauce is hands down some of the best in the area—perfectly sweet, tangy, and packed with flavor. The fried chicken is crispy, well-seasoned, and pairs perfectly with the sauce.
I also tried the General Tso’s chicken, and it did not disappoint. Unlike some places where the chicken is overcooked and chewy, theirs was tender, juicy, and coated in just the right amount of sauce. Every bite had the perfect balance of crunch and flavor.
Whether you’re craving classic carryout flavors or just want to experience top-tier mumbo sauce, this place delivers. Fast service, great portions, and food that hits every time—definitely a go-to takeout spot in the DMV!“

“The food was very good I was quite surprised how good it was. I ordered the buffalo wings, fried rice, steak & cheese & a triple mix drink. The buffalo sauce was on point & the triple mix was so bomb. My favorite new carryout.“

“I ordered on UberEats yesterday after seeing a TikTok review on them. 10/10 would recommend. I ordered 4wings with mumbo sauce, shrimp egg roll, and shrimp and broccoli. Everything was bomb. Best mumbo sauce in the city hands down. I could tell by the color it was going to be fire! Wings were seasoned and good. Shrimp and broccoli was torch. Shrimp egg roll actually had a nice amount of shrimp. Everything was so goood. Only carry out I’m going to from now on.“

“Ordered through DoorDash and overall had a great experience. The chicken wings were seasoned very well—crispy on the outside and flavorful all the way through. The shrimp egg foo young had plenty of flavor and a rich, savory gravy. The tofu and mixed vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, and the fried rice tied everything together nicely.
My only real disappointment was the french fries—they arrived cold and stale, which stood out since everything else was hot and fresh. Still, the food quality was solid and I’d definitely order again.“

“China Cafe is torch hands down!! They got that good bright red mumbo sauce. Anything fried always fresh. Fish sandwich like that and steak nd cheese bomb. Im sure the other food is good too, but those are just my go to’s. The staff is friendly and respectful to the community. Yall go getchu some!!“

“The soup is amazing!! The soup does have a hint of lemon flavor, with orzo rice, chunks of chicken, carrots, and other vegetables in it. The pork chop meal is really good, especially when Ms. Karimi submits my special request!! The orzo rice is extremely soft, very good, and flavorful. The roasted potatoes are dangerously good and seasoned well. On Gyro Wednesday the gyros are $6.00. The tzaiki sauce is excellent to the taste, and pairs very well on the Greek salad, pork chops, and best with the roasted garlic potatoes!!!
Parking: Pay extremely close to where you park, and when you park due to the varied parking restrictions in the city.“

“This all-you-can-eat Chinese spot did not disappoint. The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavor—everything from the dumplings to the lo mein hit the spot. The bottomless lemon drops? Dangerous in the best way—sweet, smooth, and just strong enough to keep the good vibes flowing.
The ambience and atmosphere were perfect—chill lighting, good music, and a cozy, inviting feel. And the customer service was top-tier—everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a fun spot to eat, drink, and enjoy for daytime or night. Already planning my next visit!“
“Food is GREAT. I live down the street from this place and get food almost every time I pass it and I switch it up and get different things and they’re all good! Try the half and half tea it’s AMAZING make sure you pay with cash cause there’s apparently a 7 dollar fee for using card“

“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

Beef broccoli good- not the best I’ve had but certainly good and beef seemed fresh- small place a bit of a wait time but staff was nice, I was offered a free soda for my wait. “It's your typical urban Chinese takeout but I really like their dumplings and get them whenever I'm in the area. Gave it 5 stars because once they knew I spoke Mandarin, we really connected and reminisced about China ? two stars because of the bullet proof window and bars you have to order through and no place to sit and enjoy the food. But given the neighborhood, I guess I understand the security precautions.“

“I absolutely love Bonkers! I keep coming back for the cold noodles and wontons! I agree the Chinese burgers fall short of their potential but just get anything else on the menu! Very authentic feel and smell to a comparable spot in China. Definitely a place i could eat at everyday. Love that dc is finally getting authentic Chinese in Chinatown!“

“This place is so fun if you love a variety of Asian foods, and this evening I happened to walk in on a fantastic live jazz band playing by the bar. Last time, we had Korean tacos and tempura, this time I’m having croffles, miso soup, and spaghetti. (I know it’s weird but it’s all so delicious)“

“This is the best Chinese takeout we have found in the area - we drive here from Waldorf to pick it up because it really is better than any other place we have found. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata but this is still preferred. My husband loves their General Tso chicken and I'm a big fan of their Egg Foo Young. Portion sizes are large so we always have leftovers! Worth the drive to Manokeek!“

“The food is generally good in a pinch. These dumplings though? The dough is sooo thick it's distracting from the filling and the sauce. I wind up mostly eating the filling and leaving the dough. I get the steamed dumplings.
Kid-friendliness: There isn't anything inside specifically for kids, but they're welcomed into the building.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps to get into the building. Not accessible.“

“Wow! We got lo mein, chicken wings and mixed vegetables. Lo mein tastes like it did in the 90's. Last year, I had a sub. This is one establishment where the flavors never change. If you are familiar with the area, then you know what I'm talking about.“

“General Taos chicken is delicious. Sweet and sour chicken was great. The wings are crispy diner wings, not Asian fusion like you’d expect but still good. Had pan fried chicken dumplings (EXCELLENT), shrimp fried rice, and steamed shrimp dumplings. Also the drinks were strong, first time having a blueberry margarita and I highly recommend. Wish they had egg rolls and not just spring rolls. Atmosphere could be better, maybe try dimming the lights? But pretty no-nonsense and straight forward overall including decent service. Def will be adding this to the rotation“

“Hands down, the best Chinese food in DC! I've lived here for 6 years and just started going here and I've been back 3x in the past 2 weeks bc they have the best sesame chicken with white rice, and today I got the honey chicken wings with fries, I like a lot of honey sauce, they even put it on the fries for me. Ofcourse, I cannot forget about the half and half lemonade tea ?
Parking: Its located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking spots
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchair accessibility, and no stairs leading into the business“

“This is literally the best Chinese food I have ever had. Their ingredients are clearly quality and they seem to make the sauces from scratch. They are only doing takeout still as a heads up, but for us that doesn't matter since we get them as a treat on our way back home from things in that area.“

“Wonton soup & the chicken rice noodle (chicken mei fun). Really tasty and decent portions. Pick up was about 10-15 min upon ordering. Their options of things to order seem to be really wide spread. No need to offer pizza.... Maybe I'll try it sometime. But the Asian food so far is yummy.“

“Great portions, nice people, and they dispose of waste properly, whereas the wings and dollar places next door pollute the neighborhood with sloppy trash disposal and cleaning. Sometimes the whole neighborhood is covered with the trash blown out of a dumpster and bus stop is flooded with dirty floor washing water, especially the wings place. Bad!! Yum’s does not have any healthy offerings but the wings and dollar places do-so it’s a trade-off. Beggars can’t be choosy ??“

“The manager at this branch, Marley is a selfless big hearted generous man I would be happy to eat here again. Thanks brotherI was having a diabetic hypo (sugar low) my wife went to all the other restaurants in the exchange food court none of them would help my wife. She went to panda express last and told the manager my husband is diabetic . he gave her a bottle of orange juice. And told her to give it to me. His shop had not opened yet but he still gave her the juice. Where the other food places told her no we r not open. When i recovered i went to panda ex to eat food and stablise my sugar. The manage then asked me was i ok now. And he refused to take money for the orange juice. Wow what a man. I can see why he is the manager.“
