“Flame & Cones provided pizza and dessert for our Yacht Club party. They showed up at the marina in plenty of time to get set up to deliver their goods. While they were at our request, they had sufficient food for other marina slip holders. The pizza selections were varied and most enjoyable. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. “Honestly thee best raw vegan food I have ever tasted . My favorite right now is the Live burger entree with arugula salad and plantains. For dessert I love their doughnuts OMG so delicious . “First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

“My favorite place to get coffee in DC and a great neighborhood gem! They use counter culture coffee. I especially love their seasonal drink menu, and always crave their black and yellow coffee drink (lemonade and espresso). I’m not normally a sweet coffee person, but this place is an exception because of how well crafted their drinks are (think similar to a nice cocktail bar). I love that when you dine in, they include special toppings with their seasonal drinks. The place is cozy, well decorated, and the perfect place to catch up with a friend.
