“Restaurant is very beautiful and well decorated. Service and food are really good. A bit pricey since we went with kids. My kid wanted plain spaghetti instead of the kids menu ravioli and we got charged as truffled spaghetti 29usd. All in all we would go back.“

“We had a party of almost 30 people in the private room, and Elvis was absolutely wonderful in organizing the event with me during the two weeks prior. The service was great, as was the meal and everything else, all adding up to a highly recommended place for a private event. Merci beaucoup, Chef Cédric.“

“I can't say enough great things about Lutece. My wife and I shared one of the best dining experiences we've ever had in DC there recently. The food was sublime (duck confit tagliatelle was my personal favorite). The wine service was impeccable. The staff was super chill yet very attentive. And the atmosphere was perfect for the moment. We sat at one of the high top kitchen tables, which I highly recommend. We'll be back for sure.“

“Another wonderful meal at a truly lovely restaurant. The staff is very cordial and helpful and the food is tasty and well-presented. I had the salmon trio (smoked salmon, salmon tartar, and salmon roe) for an appetizer and sea bass for my entree. My husband had the wonderful onion soup for an appetizer and the crab cake, scallops, and shrimp for his entree. He was able to get the dish minus scallops as he is allergic to them!! Sample desserts and coffee rounded out our meal. A very pleasant evening all around.“

“Most delicious Eggs Benedict ever, on light crispy bread with a layer of spinach. The Hollandaise was perfect. There were three of us and we all thought it was the best Eggs Benedict we ever had. Service was great. Charming little neighborhood gem. Could have been in Paris if everyone were speaking French.“

“My server was not very attentive as he should have been. Every time I needed a new drink (like 3 times) I had to flag him down. The other service was great but my main server should have been checking on the table to make sure we had what we needed.“

“I enjoyed a quick dinner solo before grabbing a flight home. Everything was truly excellent. I enjoyed the aramanagc old fashioned, burgundy escargot and braised short rib. I'd highly recommend Chez Billy if you're visiting Georgetown.“

“For an exceptional meal and incredible service you must stop here! A true French gem in DC! All of our food was mouth watering and we were too stuffed to order dessert. The staff made our night so special at every turn and we had a ball! Thank you!“

“I'm not sure why this place wasn't packed on a weekend. Leaving this review in the hopes that it'll start blowing up.It was truly one of my favorite meals I've had in DC recently. Pleasseeee order the asparagus!! I could DRINK the sauce it comes with. We got the poached razor clams and scallop crudo-- both were phenomenal. My friend hates raw fish and even he liked it. The baguette and butter: so good. Their French fries are the most perfectly crispy French fries... ever? The Beef bourguignon wasn't over salted and just so well done. We dipped our fries in the leftover sauce. And the PISTACHIO PROFITEROLES?! We were shook. The whole meal top to bottom was incredible. Definitely coming back here!!“

“Lovely little spot in Georgetown for authentic French baked goods. They use mostly French ingredients to get as close to the “real thing” as I’ve had in DC. Staff is friendly, efficient, and there is a nice patio in the back to enjoy your coffee.“

“Had a fabulous time at Vin Sur Vingt!! Came around 6 with a friend for dinner. We had a reservation but the restaurant was empty so it'd be easy to walk in and there was plenty of space at the bar. We were seated immediately and our waiter came over quickly. We had a few questions on wines and were trying to decide between the two orange wines on the menu as those are our favorites. Our waiter was really kind and let us try both and we ended up getting a bottle. The wine was DELICIOUS we were so pleased. They have a ton of really reasonably priced bottles which is nice and an extensive list of wines by the glass. For food I had a variation of a croquettes madam with pesto and it was fabulous, decadent, and filling. The sandwiches come with fries or salad (I got both) and everything was delicious. The salad was fresh, well seasoned and tasty, and the fries have a really unique seasoning, also really tasty. The atmosphere is great. Dimly lit and quiet enough to chat. Great for a girls dinner/catching up with friends. The service overall and our waiter was stellar! Super attentive and friendly. Can't wait to come back.“

“Went to Apero for an early dinner (pre-Kennedy center). Arrived early. Hostess and the bartenders were all "no it's okay, come on" so in I went. They offered me a table (I had a reservation) but I decided to sit at the bar. Anyway. Started the meal with the deviled eggs. You'd think, deviled eggs, right, just deviled eggs? But these were really good. And overstuffed. Had some bacon in them, which really set them off. So off to a great start. For my main course I had the branzino (aka striped bass) and it was phenomenal..It took me a hot minute to place the sauce flavor. It was a classic hollandaise sauce. The whole thing, fish, potatoes, spinach....was just perfect, and combined perfectly with the slightly lemony hollandaise. Dessert brought out the bread pudding which, you guessed it, was phenomenal. The ambiance? Ok, so Apero is small. There's another restaurant upstairs as well. So the ambiance is semi-chaos, not very private....and sitting at the bar gave me a front row seat to the pre-service (basically) chaos and then the service chaos. It was great fun. Apero is also SUPER casual. I was in a suit (like I said, I was going to hear Mozart at the Kennedy Center) and felt WAY overdressed. Shorts and t-shirts would be good to go here. Get a reservation, and go. And also let me add: It was not as expensive as I thought it would be (considering it's D.C., it's a Michelin starred restaurant, and it's French).“

“This was my second time dining here. I came back because my first experience was wonderful. The service was fine. The starter kale salad which the two of us split was outstanding as was the roasted broccoli. We both ordered the rib eye I'm only speaking for myself but it was the worst $34 rib eye I've ever had. When they brought it out I thought it was the flank steak. It was very thin, 1/2 inch, barely hot, lots of fat on the ends that had to be cut off, very chewy. Outback would have been better. We won't be back“

“Came here for brunch and it did not disappoint. My mom and I love french food and we had to check out this new place in town. First off the service went the extra mile to help us get a extra seat on a busy Sunday. Their reservationist without a doubt one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Definitely made us feel good before even walking in the door. We got some Bloody Marys to start. It was well balanced and we requested it extra spicy and it was. Well balanced and flavorful. My mom got the Quiche it was big and served with a side salad. She said it was very good rich and flavorful. She had to finish it because it was that good. It was well balanced with the mixed green salad adding freshness to the meal. I got the steak sandwich it was really good. Had a ton of flavor and the steak was tender. Coked mid rare which is the way I like it. The cheese was super gooy and rich. Bread was perfectly crispy and airy. It held its form even with all the drippings from the steak. Fries served with it were crispy and well seasoned. Our friend got a classic French omelette which was served with home fries. She said it was good but more plane than she was expecting. The interior is classic french restaurant looks fantastic. Overall a delicious meal cant wait to try the dinner menu another time.“

“My friend loved her hangar steak and we both loved our créme brulés, our side dishes and the wonderful bread. But I was quite disappointed in my Belgian stew entrée. I have had it there several times before, but last night, the beef was surprisingly fatty, including whole chunks of fat that looked like meat until I bit into them. The carrots also seemed as though they had come from a bag of frozen, cubed carrots, rather than fresh-cut. Just disappointing stew for the price and rather a rather skimpy portion, considering how much of the beef was not actual meat.“

“Thank you for catering a wonderful birthday party for my mom at her home in Chevy Chase. We had 40 guests. The food and the service were both fantastic. We didn’t have to do a thing (set up, clean up) and the food was delicious. All of our guests were impressed. Definitely 5 stars!“

“Another great meal at La Chaumiere. DC has a lot of great French restaurants these days, but it's nice to visit one that has been great for a long time. We enjoyed our dinner very much. Don't overlook ordering a soufflé for dessert. Grand Marnier is my favorite flavor.“

“One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Try the scallops. Perfection. Great staff. Cecilio at the bar has the best pairings, and the wait staff were spot on. Will absolutely be back. Perfect romantic dinner with the wife. Dessert and an espresso martini were the perfect cap to a great evening.“

“First time back in 10 years. The food is, if anything, even better than it was. If you want a local neighborhood French restaurant, this is it. The locals are very lucky. Its not mentioned much by reviewers because it has been around for ever so is not a sexy new toy, but the quality and consistency is hard to beat - and you can have a conversation!“

“What a great meal. Came with my parents and grandfather for my dad's retirement dinner. Parking was so easy, there's a big lot behind the restaurant that still had multiple open spaces!! They start out with bread for the table which was so good, chewy, and warm. My mom and I had to stop eating it or else we would've ruined our meal! We got two of the same appetizers, I'm not sure exactly what it was but I think it was called La Terrine de Gibier, the photo with the slaw and cut bread with a cut of meat on the middle. I typically don't like these types of dishes but this was very very good. For entrees, I got the almond crusted trout and switched the potatoes for rice, it was delicious, however the fish a a tad bit over cooked. I still ate the whole thing though!!! My parents split the filet mignon, pictured on the tray and another on a plate. The meat was done perfectly, my dad gave me a few bites, but he and my mom loved it. My grandpa got the calf's liver, he really enjoyed it and loved the mash potatoes with it. Personally not a fan of animal organs but he loved it, it's one of his faves. For dessert we all got our own, I got the poached pear and it was absolutely ICONIC. BEST dessert I've had at a restaurant in ages!! It was so so good, light but creamy and decadent. My grandpa got the sorbet and loved it, I had a little bite of the raspberry scoop and it was so tart and yummy. My mom got the profiteroles which were yummy but she liked mine dessert more. And my father got the chocolate mousse cake, he absolutely devoured it. The service was great. We had our reservation at 6 and left around 8:30-8:45. He was attentive and kind, and our other servers were awesome. Very attentive to take our finished dishes and made sure our water (mainly my water) was always full. The vibes were nice. It was giving cottage core, warm and welcoming. A lot of seating for many people and they dim the lights around 7ish so for those with iffy eye sight be aware of that! Overall, recommend!“

“My husband and I went to cafe tatti on our date night. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service quite a lot. We had the Coq Au Vin and the Chicken Francaise and ended the meal with a chocolate mousse. The mousse was our favorite part of the meal. I also enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot Noir from their wine list. What stood out to us was definitely the service. Thanks for a great night.“

“Food was great and it was only made better by the atmosphere. Going into it we thought it would be fancier and we’re glad it wasn’t! Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten free options (which there are plenty) and everything we had was delicious. I will say that some of the wine/cocktails seem to be priced pretty high, but honestly everything else was great so who cares.“

“While staying at The Darcy, I ventured one breakfast session here, out of curiosity. I went for their Waffle dish and it came with a lovely presentation. The blueberry compote was delicious, and I wish there was more. The waffle was crispy throughout and clearly, well made.Would I come here again, maybe not. The prices here are quite high, especially in comparison to the Johnny Rockets next door. This restaurant is great for dinner, either through a work meeting, or for a special occasion.“

“I really appreciate that Liberté retains its lively atmosphere and French favorites as years pass. When I come here I know my dining companions and I will each have a great meal and go home happy. I'm a simple guy: I value being able to consistently rely upon the menu offering duck confit, cassoulet, bourguignon, moules-frites, et al. Liberté does these things well and consistently and, because the brasserie has many tables, it's where one may turn if on a whim friends decide to go out that evening. I tend to order a paper plane here to start, which has always been done well; I've never had a bad glass of wine, either. During Lent there were fun nonalcoholic options we enjoyed. The crowd can be a bit young due to the proximity to Georgetown -- all the better; it's good to be proximate to people excited about their evening. This does mean that it's not as formal a dining experience as another French restaurant in Georgetown, but Liberté knows what it's trying to do and does it well. I've not yet sat on the patio but as summer begins I hope to spend an evening there. I'll return again soon in order to do so. If you haven't yet visited, you should; I hope to see you here.“

“A couple of colleagues and I got together at Union Market - we decided on La Jamba as the cheese selection was excellent. We ordered two medium boards… one cheese only and the other with cheese and a selection of charcuterie. Plus a couple of bottles of well balanced red wines, tasty Pinot Noir and a light Beaujolais. The cheese selections were some of the best… all served with fresh baguette - a relaxed atmosphere overall. A great place to sit at the bar and enjoy board of charcuterie and cheese! I must visit when at Union Market.I’ll be back for some fresh slices mortadella for sandwiches at home!“

“Maman is very tasty and I love coming here but.. this happened. Needless to say I was a little disappointed I had to fight my food today in a dangerous way. “So, I’ve been here multiple times and Friday night was the best experience I’ve had there. Now, I did get there early, around 930-10pm, so not a peak time, yet. I wanted to get a table for hookah and fortunately, we got there at the right time. Our waitress was so sweet! No matter how crowded it started to get, she always found a way to check on us. I should have asked her name bc she deserves to be recognized…other waitresses I’ve had there have never been as kind.DJ was great, hookah was great (as usual) and it came out fast. Hookah is about $50 which is typical for this area — still got two for the size of our party.I like this spot because it gets just the right amount of crowded without being overwhelming…I also left at midnight so I can’t speak to anything after that. The Right Spot will always have a early customer in me. Lol“

“The wait for food, including appetizers is long. I tell folks, don't go when your hungry! They should offer rolls immediately! Other than the wait for food (which seems to be normal at Julii), it was good as always! They also put up with me changing from 5 people to 4 and then 3, when one had to go to NJ last minute and one got sick. Lovely people!“
