It was at times we did not see him. He wasn't as attentive as our first waitress was But overall we enjoyed ourselves and we will be back again. “

“Our son lives in the area and we have been here 4-5 since January ( every time we visit) The owners are wonderful and the staff very attentive The fish taco appetizer is wonderful ( can be enough for an entree if not wanted a big meal) I’ve had many of the entrees and never a bad meal . “My husband friend and I needed an early dinner near Adams Morgan so i did a quick search and found Ceibo. It was fantastic! The mushroom appetizer and the eggplant appetizer were both amazing. We all ordered the black cod entree. It was stupendous. Ill definitely return.“

“I am a long-time patron of S52 and it just gets better with the years. I was hosting two guests, visiting from another country, and they could not stop with the compliments...staff, food, beverages, atmosphere etc. Derek took care of us at the table, with a drive-by from a familiar friend, Justin. And Sammy and Sean took care of the drinks, which were perfect as usual. Derek was funny, polite, savvy, and really took time to take care of us. One of the unique things about S52 is that, if you, as the customer, are willing to engage with and be kind to the staff, the return on that tiny investment will pay off immediately and obviously. It's always a pleasure at S52 and, at a time when the stresses of life seem to multiply exponentially, a respite from it all at this place is worth the time and comparatively limited cost.“

“I dropped in during Happy Hour by chance for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Happy Hour Specials applied to table dining at full sized portions. It was great opportunity to try a pizza and a queso appetizer affordably.

They both were very tasty. The portion size of the queso was smaller than expected but so rich and flavorful that it was satisfying and good to share.

The atmosphere was family friendly despite many people meeting for drinks. My 11yo and I were comfortable and enjoyed our early dinner. I’ll return to try other menu items.“

“5 stars isn't enough!! From the moment we walked in until the end of our night we were satisfied. The decorations, food, and service was amazing! They even offered me a quiet place to pray :). Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. “The food quality is very good at Black Salt. There were at least 5 items not listed on the regular menu which were also available for dinner. We liked the fact that several choices were seasonal in nature- which allowed those items to be available.“

“Great experience, most of the food was absolutely delicious but the portions aren’t huge (as expected). The Kinship name on the door is almost undetectable, speak-easy vibes to the entrance. The service was impeccable, the decor is minimalist and not too cozy (very subjective of course). The beef tongue appetizer was as our favorite dish. Prices are pretty reasonable for the high end restaurant.“

Loud music playing, drunk people watching a football game, being extremely loud... yes, I know, they were have fun! She may have no voice the day after with all that yelling at the TV sent... who knows, they might have heard her at the game!

“One of my favorite DC cafes! The breakfast sandwich and burrito are delicious, the coffee is great (+ they free refills), and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I’ve come here after morning workouts with big groups and they are so accommodating. They have great indoor and outdoor space and it’s the perfect place to hang out or get some work done. “All of the staff were super friendly. We definitely felt under dressed. I got the eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. There wasn't much hollandaise sauce, so it was a bit dry and the Smoked Salmon was strong. Their potatoes and veggies needed seasoning. My daughter enjoyed her french toast. For basic Brunch, it was pricey. Not everything they offer is on the menu, we had to ask about juice and coffee.“

“My server was amazing but who stole the show was Dan, who on his first day on the job made sure to go above and beyond to make our experience the best he could. He was amazing at refilling ours water cups (which is difficult navigating through all the people at the table) but also made sure we were always content and had what we wanted. He made sure that our bottomless drink were always filled, and made sure that we had what we ordered. I had a great experience, and it couldn’t have happened without the help of Dan.“

“Me, my mom & my 7 month old went to Earl’s for dinner last night. We were seated promptly, which was a wonderful surprise for a Friday evening. While we inquired about dining outside on the patio, the hostess was very honest about it being an option but warned us that, due to no fault of the restaurant, the red lantern flies had been a problem for some diners and we certainly appreciated the heads up!

William was our server and he was spectacular, from beginning to end. Despite it being a full restaurant & he was clearly busy, no request was forgotten and we didn’t wait long for anything!
William made good conversation, getting to know us, remembered all of our names, made wonderful recommendations, was honest about the menu options and how they’d align with our preferences and taste buds. He took notice & care of our food allergies/restricted diets & promptly brought out an order of mashed potatoes for the baby. He also made sure to acknowledge and bring out a small treat for my mom’s birthday. He made it a wonderful experience and I’m looking forward to my next visit already!

I cannot forget Jackie -who stopped by our table and was very funny, kind and welcoming!

“We had a great dinner here! It wasn't too crowded, so the atmosphere was really chill and relaxed. The restaurant itself is comfortable and cool. Since the food is 100% fresh, it takes a little extra time to prepare, but it's totally worth it. Our server, Alex, was fantastic—so kind and gave us the best recommendations. He even helped us with our bags! You have to try the pork chop and the rigatoni. We'll definitely be back.“
