My only issue is that parking is confusing, and difficult to figure out how to actually get to the restaurant once you are in the parking garage. Not much signage. Other than that, it is a lovely venue, and the food and service were great.“

This place restored my hope for DC restaurants. Hidden gem and i want them to stay that way. Not everyone have good taste Humberto was amazing, so as the owner. Very genuine and humble. “My favorite place to dine at Rio. This place is always packed, so pack some patience if you have to wait. I enjoy their house beers- especially the House IPA, House Lager and House Golden Pilsner. For appetizers, can’t go wrong with their poke nachos, probably their signature dish. Other favorites are their wings and Jumbo pretzels.

The menu is huge so there is something for everyone. My favorites are the Lobster Garlic Noodles, Stacked Turkey Club, Cobb salads and cheesesteak.

Their happy hour deals are pretty good. They do have a waitlist you can join on their app. Hard to believe this used to be a Romano’s Macaroni Grill.“

“Start to finish our experience was excellent. When we arrived for our reservation time we needed to add two more people. They were kind enough to accommodate us even though they were busy. Our server Patrick was terrific. He made food suggestions that were spot on. He kept checking on us throughout the brunch. Food came out of the kitchen quickly. Everything was delicious and everyone in my large group was super happy. So few places can accommodate a large group and make all these things happen. I can't say enough good things about Patrick except I will be asking for him next time.“

“Again, a fabulous dinner at District Bistro. Because it was Valentine's Day, there was a fixed-price menu: $65 for three courses. I started with the 1/2 dozen oysters (a treat!) and my partner had the house-smoked salmon with caviar. Both were delicious, but the salmon was a special surprise, topped with thinly sliced kumquats and capers; it was an unexpected taste sensation! I chose scallops for my main course--I almost always get them here, and they never disappoint. They were perfectly cooked and served over a warm black lentil salad. My partner chose the lamb chops that came with a tasty harissa-eggplant sauce. They were tender and cooked just right--a little pink in the center. For dessert, I had the kumquat and pistachio creme brulee. I wasn't sure about my choice, but it ended up being delightful. The creme was rich, but not too heavy and the crust on the top was caramelized perfectly. My husband had pear pecan sticky pudding--yum. We had been tempted to go elsewhere for Valentine's Day because District Bistro tends to be our go-to. I am glad we didn't!!“

“A lovely space all hours of the day. I’ve been before for dinner and made it there this morning to do some work and breakfast.

The upstairs feels like a cozy chateau, the fireplace blazing and plentiful seating options. People are sharing tables, putting coats on the rack, chatting, and typing away.

I sat near an outlet and wifi was quick and easy to log on to. Latte and bagel were fabulous and they brought both to my table.

I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can use their outdoor space once again!“

Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. They blew my mind; specially the mushroom soup. It was amazing! I also like that the Persian bowl was a feature by an Iranian chef recently arrived to the country. The ambience and service were outstanding as well. And I loved that I could, for once, speak Spanish without feeling intimidated.“

“Rania is a true culinary experience and one of the best meals I have had in DC. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu where there was a good variety of dishes to choose from for each course. Every single course was excellent especially the shrimp, lamb cheela, and beef short ribs nihari! Service equally good with no rushing between courses and just enough attention to feel like a special dining experience but not suffocating. Would recommend to anyone for a special evening!“

“This is great American comfort food with a sports bar type atmosphere yet a great comfortable family restaurant that serves an abundance of beer indifferent brands. I was greeted at the door with a smile and as I left it was a pleasant goodbye from the hostess at the front desk“

“This was my first visit to this restaurant. I went because they participated in DC’s Restaurant Week for lunch. I chose it among many other restaurants because the lunch menu choices looked great. In fact, all three courses were delicious. I went as a solo female diner. I had asked my waiter when he took my order to leave the menu so I could decide on a drink later. My waiter never returned to take my drink order. I decided to forego having a glass of wine (since no waiter returned) and just have coffee with the dessert. However, not one waiter looked at me for the 5 minutes my hand was up. The table of 4 next to me did get wonderful attention by waiters. For me, however, no one asked me how my meal was. I finally flagged down a runner to order a coffee.

I was also disappointed that there was a credit card charge. I looked at their website when I returned home and never found text mentioning that extra charge. How can customers make an informed decision to bring cash if we don’t know about a credit card surcharge beforehand? It really is uncommon for DC customers to carry large amounts of cash these days. I recommend the restaurant rectify this.“

“For lunch, I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad, featuring fresh tuna sashimi served with seaweed salad, avocado, arugula, and shrimp roe, all drizzled with a savory sauce and topped with refreshing diced cucumber. The dish was absolutely perfect!

My partner ordered the Maui Pineapple Chicken, which was also quite delicious. The dining environment was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended!“
