“One of my favorite restaurants! They have incredible options for gluten and dairy-free diners. Veggies instead of bread for dips, homemade almond yogurt to replace any yogurt in entrees. We had the mini tasting menu and there were very few adjustments needed. Absolutely delicious, especially the squash side, the lamb chops, the chicken in yogurt-based sauce, the rice with carrots and raisins, and tasty cocktails. Warm, cozy ambiance with a frequent sitar player.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten feee options and many dairy-containing options can be made dairy-free using their homemade almond yogurt.“
“I have been here two times and it has been exceptionally good. One thing I want to mention is I loved the mushroom sauce that they had with their meats. The second time I came they told me that they took it out because people “complained” about the mushroom sauce. I would just like to say to those people who hate mushrooms to grow up please and I would love for them to bring it back. Our waiters every time have been polite with great service by the way.“
“We had heard great things about this restaurant and decided to celebrate a special occasion there some time ago. We absolutely loved it.The French onion soup was perfect, and the crab bisque was creamy and delicious. Our steak was cooked exactly as we had requested - medium well and juicy inside. We appreciated the classic interior decor, and the service was good. Overall, the experience was unforgettable.Parking: Although it has a free parking lot, it fills up fast, especially on the weekends.“
“The food is exceptional here - such unique and authentic dishes that are out of this world! The service is also amazing - it has a very family feel and everyone I've met is just so kind. I travel to Rockville monthly for work and will come back every time!!“
“I love this spot. The wines are delicious and affordable, the owners are the type who work at the restaurant/ shop and are available for any questions or concerns. One note is that the food is a bit eccentric— very French but with a twist. So check out the menu before you come or if you like more traditional dishes, maybe eat at home!“
“Our visit to La Canela was truly phenomenal! The flavors of the food were simply incredible, and the portions were generous. I opted for the Seco de Cabrito (Lamb shank) while my wife savored the Arroz con Mariscos (seafood rice). To start, we enjoyed the Agua de Tigre appetizer, which set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. Every dish we tried was exceptional, leaving us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. It's safe to say that we will be returning to La Canela without hesitation to indulge in more of their delicious offerings. It was a culinary experience worth repeating!“
“Living local with great brews and food! First time at the Oakton location and will definitely be back! Love the original but this one is even closer to home. Tried the Ghost of Val and the Le Grand Chocolat which were both delicious. The food options from The Fermented pig were perfect to compliment the beers. We tried the mac and cheese, deviled eggs and slider trio which were also as equally delicious as the beers. Back in 2021 I purchased 2 kegs for a birthday party and the staff then and again now we’re fantastic! If you love a great Local spot check out Settle Down East Oakton!“
“Great overall experience! Sean made our experience even better by serving perfect drinks and laughter. Food was amazing and we will be back. Thanks Sean for staying on top of our orders and taking the time to make sure we enjoyed our time there.“
“I absolutely adore this place! We ordered wine, the cheese board and I had the Toked Goat Chicken Sandwich with tomato soup. Everything was absolutely delicious and I loved the flavor combination of the sandwich. The ambience is lovely - perfect for a date or girl's night. They also serve brunch, which I'll most certainly be returning for.“
“We recently discovered this hidden gem, and we were absolutely thrilled with everything! Can’t wait yo try their Sunday brunch! For my kid's birthday party, we decided to order from Emi Rossi, and the pies were a huge hit with all the guests. It's easily our favorite pizza place so far!“
“The restaurant is elegant, I loved the comfortable atmosphere, the food is very delicious, the treatment is good, and the service is excellent. I will return to it again ?❤️?Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes you can choose fromKid-friendliness: I had children with me, so it was familyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs are accessible“
“We sat at the bar opening week, but the bartender, Meti, and the kitchen staff made it seem like they'd been open for months! The drinks were super tasty and creative and the food was all outstanding. The Reel Deal is a neat concept where you choose a piece of fish and it comes with some set sides. It is a great value and I love that the fish are all sustainably sourced. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and we can't wait to return!!!“
“Una esperienza indimenticabile! Sergio è davvero un gran signore, attento ad ogni minima esigenza del cliente, gentile e disponibile con una innata classe italiana. Il cibo è superlativo, di altissima qualità, cucinato in maniera perfetta. La mise en place impeccabile, Tiramisù e cantucci per concludere una magnifica serata . Consigliatissimo“
“To describe my experience in a word, Perfection! I have a favorite waiter, Gabby, and he makes sure that the experience is perfect. Tonight's delicious meal consisted of French onion soup, veal chop, Parmesan truffle fries and cheesecake. It was all cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is upscale and welcoming. I highly recommend Capital Grill in Bethesda.“
“My friend had her baby shower upstairs, and I fell in love with the place. I’d driven by it many times, but had never gone in. I was surprised by how cozy and welcoming the space was. There was a ton of meter parking right out front. The woman who helped us plan the shower was Kelly. She is AMAZING! She was sooo helpful and very professional. I made sure to save her info for our next event! Wonderful experience all around.“
“They're doing an excellent job of carrying the torch in a spot that has served as a neighborhood staple coffee shop for decadesBeware, they've found major traction on social media over the last year or so, and are well-deservedly extremely crowded every weekend morning as a result“
“Idlywood is a favorite spot for dinner. The service is excellent, with a good selection of wines and an atmosphere that permits conversation at normal speaking levels. We tried a couple of new dishes as well as a favorite appetizer (shrimp ajo) and salmon Caesar. We haven't been disappointed in any of the salmon selections. The branzino is also a favorite. The chicken parmesan, a new item , was especially good. Highly recommended.“
“I had to leave a review for the great charcuterie they sent when I ordered on Uber eats. I needed something quick to take to a friend's after work. It arrived wonderfully arranged, in a pizza box so that nothing would get jumbled in transit, and the meats and cheeses were fresh, yummy and accompanied with fresh fruit as well as a few apricots and spreads. They even wrote a quick thank you on the box! Made me want to visit the wine bar in person someday.“
“I've been coming here for years with my friends for birthdays and just hangout. I like the ambiance, the food, and the staff. Melissa is our go to waitress, absolutely love her patience, kindness, attention, and professionalism. It's really nice that they revise their menu a little to match the season!“
“Stopped by hoping for a view of the water but unfortunately their patio view is blocked off due to construction. Still, the food was lovely and Katya gave some of the best service we’ve seen in a while. Our brussel sprout app came out cold and the manager Camina quickly fixed any issue and gave us a new one on the house. Awesome team and great food, we will definitely be back when the outside patio is open again!!“
“Larger than it looks from the outside, this is a down to earth french restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Before you make a decision on your meal, wait to hear what the specials -- we had a few at our table that made last-minute changes! We had a white Rhone wine that was delicious. The servings are tasty and ample. The upstairs Is a little quieter, although while lively, it id not overly noisy in any location“
“Really delicious, cat-themed restaurant with the same vibe as its counterpart, Lost Dog Cafe. My burger was juicy and flavorful and the cocktails were spectacular — pricey — but super fresh and creative.Vegetarian options: All burgers come with a vegetarian option and most of the other sandwiches are riffs on a grilled cheese.Parking: There is a small parking lot out front, but the spaces are a bit tight.“
“I met friends for brunch here on Saturday. Shoutout to Lisa, our server, who was fantastic! We all ordered bottomless beverages and she was quick with the refills. The sangria was the best though the bottomless drinks offered included mimosas and bloody Mary’s.There aren’t many places for brunch in Montgomery county and I’m so glad we dined at this one. We will be back!Parking: This is close to a Safeway though it’s probably not welcome to park there. I took the bus and walked from 355 which was 9 minutes - plenty of street parking if you are OK walking“
“What a great place and even better customer service from Linda. So knowledgeable and friendly. She offered suggestions and helped me decide. The wines are tasty. We're been coming to Olney for years now and really love the new location. The brick oven pizza is delicious, way to go chef Tim! I highly recommend a visit.“
“I like this place. The food is good, with vegan and gluten-free options!(I have had *better* Thai food. All of Finn Thai's curry has fish sauce in it and can not be made vegan=no 5 star rating.)(Now that I think of it.... when I say I have had better Thai food, maybe it's because I'm comparing it to curry dishes I have had elsewhere, when here I was unable to have curry. Maybe I just like curry better? Lol. I'm just trying to be completely honest!)The food always comes out super fast!! Like, always surprisingly fast!! On Valentine's Day, for example, we went before the dinner rush (there was only one other table seated in the restaurant when we arrived), and without buying alcohol we were in and out in under 45 minutes! (I mention not having alcohol because if we were also taking time to enjoy drinks, it probably would have taken longer)Takeaway: In my experience, great for a quick *real* meal. Early dinner times always seem like a great time to go/not busy. Will be back. This is the closest restaurant to where I currently live with vegan/gluten-free options.Vegetarian options: Definitely ask!! A lot of dishes don't necessarily have tofu listed as a protein option, but in my experience, they are happy to use tofu instead of meat.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free and vegan options! All of the curry has fish sauce in it, which sucks as that is my favorite Thai dish. I don't remember everything being labeled well on the menu, but definitely ask! The servers are always knowledgeable, in my experience, and can help guide you to something appropriate for you!I have not been "glutened" here!Parking: The parking lot directly in front of the restaurant is small, but every time I visited, there were plenty of spots. The restaurant is in the back of a large shopping/business area, so there is plenty of free parking around, but if it is busy, you may have to park a bit farther.Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps up to the restaurant. Like... more than just a few steps.“
“From being the only people there to having the whole place crowded! Its amazing how popular this place is. I have not tried meadery or this location so this was a new experience. Driving there seems a little sketchy given that its kinda hidden in the back of what seems like an industrial area. Once you are passed that, you will see a wonderful brightly lit Meadery area. The place is well decorated and very welcoming. Clean and spacious, I love the atmosphere. They also have seating torwards the back where they make/store the mead. They have games there, but I wasnt so sure if they are available to customers. They do allow outside food which is nice since you can have something delivered. My partner and I tried the flights to get a taste of all the different kinds of meads and I have to say they really know what they are doing. There were very fine tuned taste within the mead. Very tasty and plenty of alcohol. I cant wait to go back and try the place again.“
“Food was excellent as always. Our server was very slow even when we were finished and the restaurant was pretty empty it took forever to bring our bill, pick up the credit cards, and return with the receipts for signature. Our server may have had tables in the bar but did not appear to be serving anyone else in the main dining area“
“Food tasted great. Service was slow for breakfast. Seats were close to other tables and hard to talk over other tables. They offer dairy free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsDietary restrictions: Dairy free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian optionsParking: Valet and paid self parking availableKid-friendliness: Lots of kid options“
“Uncorked is my go-to spot for wine shopping. With its extensive selection of varieties and reasonable prices, it's a win-win. The Friday wine tastings are a fantastic bonus; just give them a call to confirm. Patrick, possibly the manager, is a gem - knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready with perfect wine suggestions tailored to my preferences. The ambience is casual, welcoming and friendly. You can get small bites or drink wine in the store at the bar or tables nearby. They also have events like trivia and live music. Uncorked is more than just a wine store; it's a treasure trove of wine wisdom. Whether I'm stocking up on bottles or expanding my palate at tastings, Uncorked never disappoints. Highly recommend for both novices and connoisseurs alike.“
“The food here is excellent. We got the Sherpa soup was very tasty, as was the vinaigrette salad. The Plov is the national dish of Uzbekistan was wonderful. The staff was amazing and they took good care of us. It is a nice quiet place in the heart of Ballston.“
“Cute outdoor seating that has some of the best dessert crepes I've ever tasted. They also have Polish food, but I found it underwhelming.Perfect place to eat outdoors when the weather is nice. They have tap pay and you order and pay up front. They don't serve to table but you pick it up from the table outside or the front, if eating indoors.“
“This place is so amazing that the staff love to come here to work and interact with their guests. I Highly recommend this place as they have a huge wine selection. They also have some beer and 28 beers on tap. The deli puts out more food than any other small kitchen that we've been to and it's super good. Seriously, if you can't find your favorite beverage they will do the best to order it on your behalf. However, my guess is that they already have it in stock. Cheers!“
“Looking for a nice place to hang out, enjoy good food and good drinks, maybe catch the game? Vine Alley is the place to go (and probably the only one open late around) which makes it stand out! Food wise, take it from a picky eater, it is soo good! Some small to kill the hunger, the bruschetta and brie crostinis were YUM! The dumplings were very tasty but my favorite were the wings…oh that honey flavor was so good!!! 100% recommend, 100% will come back for more when I am back in MD.“
“This is really a Mediterranean place, with typical options. They even asked if I wanted ice in the water, nice touch! I had a wrap with lamb. The lamb was hit or miss, some chunks tender and some quite chewed. My wife's falafel wrap was wonderful. The coffee and water were great.“
“My family and I go to Circa go all the time and were never left disappointed. Food is great and so is the staff. When we went last night it was busy, as usual, which was fine because they’re usually very good at dealing with that however this time it was different. Our server was not attentive and changed halfway through our meal. However we still didn’t receive attentive service. Our server seemed like they were in a rush and wouldn’t come for long periods of time. Other than that, it was still a good meal.“
“This store is a breath of fresh air, a lovely respite from a world flooded with cheap, artificial, one-time-use products. Trade Roots is curated with thoughtful gifts, clothes, home decor, jewelry, and knick knacks. I walked in recently and immediately saw the perfect gifts for some friends. Everything here is so beautiful and unique. It's not one of those boutiques where everything is just resold from Amazon with a green washed label. The Trade Roots website explains why the fair trade, sustainable mission is important to the store. The food and drinks are delicious here, too! There is some seating inside, as well as tables outside that face the main drag in Westover. Come for a chai and some housewares, leave feeling happy.“
“Service was outstanding. I went for a birthday dinner and they were so accommodating and friendly. Prices were what you expect for a steakhouse. Very elegant and quiet atmosphere, ideal for an upscale date night. The entrance is a little tucked away but they also offer valet parking, so pulling up to the front is most convenient.“
“Very fast and friendly service. The Manachego and Serrano croquetas were delicious. Also tried eggplant caponatta, pork pinxos, the Spanish tortilla and the mini churros. All delicious. Our servers were very courteous. This is the second location I visit (Philadelphia in 2022) and still very happy about this place.“
“The Italian food here is so fresh and flavorful. They really do live up to their value of serving authentic Italian food. I'm a local, so I've been here multiple times, including weddings, family gatherings, etc. Some of my personal favorites from Pazzo Pomodoro are the salmon al limoncello, arachini (although I learned later that it contains pork, which I cannot have due to dietary restrictions), and gnocchi. The servers are also nice. However, the reason I gave four stars instead of five is because, everytime it is time to pay the check, the owner or manager sends away the server and takes the tip for himself.I've physically had to look for the server to tip him, and ended up tipping the owner because the server was gone, and I've had experiences with the owner, who only comes out when it is time for a tip. I get some restaurants don't give an option to tip some people directly, but it is disappointing to see the servers and dishwasher do the hard work and the manager/owner pop up when it's time to pay. Trust me, I wouldn't make this such a big issue, but the reason why I am emphasizing this, is after the manager/owner took the tip, the server came back and was a bit rude with my party, giving us a dirty look and an attitude with taking our plates.“
“I’ve been going to hunters for a while and the food is amazing! The staff, however are the heart, and Fonz is one of our faves. He’s always Johnny on the spot, Carries great genuine conversation, and goes above and beyond. All to support his beautiful family and make sure whoever stops by the bar, has a great experience. Thanks Fonz and staff!“
