“Went on a Monday night and it was busy which was a good sign. We were told there was a short wait and in under 5 minutes we were seated.

We had salt & vinegar wings, thai wings, po boy and a couple drinks. Food was very tasty, drinks were good and the staff and owners were friendly and efficient. Everything we wanted as we were looking for somewhere to grab food and drinks around 8 on a Monday. Will be back.“

“I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.“

The environment is laid back, easy & chill. And the view is spectacular on Michigan Ave. Grabbing a seat at the bar—no problem! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. “We walked in to the Buhl Bar and where greeted by George and Aish they where both so friendly and so full of information. “(July 2026). First off, a big thank you to our server Jah'Qwan. He was just fantastic and really made our anniversary dinner extremely enjoyable. This was our first time dining at the Cactus Club. The atmosphere is definitely one of the best for an intimate dining experience - quaint, quiet, and a soft piano player. Very very nice. The lighting was perfect (we sometimes have a hard time seeing the menu since we are getting older :).
My wife had a 1/2 dozen west-coast oysters for an appetizer - they were just outstanding. She ordered the Veal with Risotto (it was good but definitely a shared dish as it was a large portion).
I had the Filet Mignon - cooked and seasoned perfectly!
The star of the dinner was definitely the asparagus - I know, weird, but this asparagus was probably the best I've eaten in a very long time, hands-down.
For dessert we had the Chocolate Torte - fabulous! We compared this to the torte we had at Bobby Flays' restaurant Amalfi in Las Vegas, and it was just better.
Overall, our anniversary dinner was one of the best. Accolades to Jah'Qwan, the cooking staff, and the young lady who makes the desserts. Thank you!“

I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.“

“I stopped in today because I stumbled upon this cute little spot. I was incredibly happy in all areas. The space is so perfect, it’s not very big inside at all but it doesn’t really need to be. Most people grabbing coffee in town are in and out with things to do. The person greeted us promptly and made a perfectly warmed hot chocolate for my son which he very much enjoyed. “New menu was amazing. We had the potatoes, the scallops, burrata, and mushroom with shiitake dish. Burrata was hands down my favorite, thing. Perfect combination!! Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere inside, I personally love plants and that’s the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!“

“We stopped here for lunch to try something different. We tried several items on the menu. The samosas were excellent. The eggplant dish and the chicken marsala were also very good. The fish, not so much. We felt that the ingredient to sauce ratio was off. There was not a lot of protein in any of the dishes. The naan was good too. Lunch for 6 with 3 drinks and 2 coffees, was 220.00. So, very expensy. The atmosphere is neat and there's a pool table.nservice was pretty good too. I would go again. I forgot to take pictures 🫤“

“We went to Old Pony Martini Bar and loved the atmosphere! It has the feel of a great old neighborhood corner bar, casual, friendly, and welcoming. The service was excellent, and our hamburgers were delicious with hot, crispy French fries. There was nothing better than an ice cold beer on a hot Sunday afternoon. It made for a perfect afternoon. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Our first time here and it was fantastic! This is definitely a wonderful place to go for a date night. My husband and I absolutely fell in love with the atmosphere, drinks and food. Its a cute little spot off pellisier, away from the noisy busy streets. Hidden away with a beautiful open air patio. The drinks were one of a kind. Our server recommended a few drinks as im not a huge cocktail fan. I had the gin tonica and omggg it was so refreshing!! Then I tried the pompello and while that one was a bit strong for my liking, it was a nice drink. The food is also very good. The oysters were super fresh and paired with a variety of hot sauces and vinaigrettes. The beef tartare was nice as well. I do prefer the beef tartares in the US but this was a nice option. The burrata was super soft and seasoned very well. And finally we had their new dish the tuna (kind of like a carpacio). I enjoyed it very much with the rice crackers they came with. The service was beyond amazing. Super friendly, very knowledgeable and kind. We will be coming again!“
