“Have been going her for at least 40 years if not longer. The food is absolutely wonderful. The ambience inside the restaurant is very comfortable and most relaxing. The only bad thing is they have not fixed the men's bathroom in over a year, maybe longer. We women do not enjoy sharing a bathroom with men who pea on the floor and also on the toilet seat. We want our bathroom back!”

“Stumbled upon the company at the local farmers market, the staff managing was super nice and helpful when it came to selecting products. Had a great selection of meats & pierogi flavors, picked up the breakfast + buffalo chicken ones to try along with their homemade polish mustard! Will definitely be looking out for their future markets to stock up!”

“Get the oreo milkshake or any milkshake in general it is the absolute BEST! I love there ice cream it's very good especially for a hot summer day. Burks igloo is an amazing ice cream shop, offering a variety of ice creams and flavors. DEFINITELY go try them out!!”

“This cafe is the place to be! Loved it! So many awesome books, very spacious and great seating. They have highchairs. They also have a prayer room which was amazing! There’s a nice outdoor seating too. I tried their new cookie butter latte and it was delicious! I also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich called Holbrook and it was a good spicy meal! I highly recommend this place. It’s also all halal so it was perfect for us to try!”

“I love this place! The workers are super friendly, funny, and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel comfortable and treat you like you’re at home. This wasn’t my first time coming here, and it definitely won’t be my last. Every time I’m in Hamtramck, I’ll be coming back.

The food was really good, and the service was great too. Everything felt clean, organized, and well taken care of. I also really liked how friendly the workers were. They actually made the experience feel personal instead of feeling like you’re just another customer. It’s always nice when you go somewhere and the workers are happy to talk to you and make you feel welcome.

The only issue I had was that the room was a little too small for four people. It felt a little cramped, especially with four people sitting together. Other than that, I honestly had a great experience. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the workers were great.

I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Hamtramck. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, friendly service, and a clean place to eat. Definitely worth coming back to!”

“Plav Post Ten is a hallmark in Hamtramck. Bar downstairs serving up drinks catering to veterans and accepting of civilians too. For Paczki Day it’s one of the major hotspots, the annual Paczki Eating Contest draw a good crowd and is followed by live music. Take a turn and come to Hamtramck to enjoy. 5/5.”

“Cute room. Nice warm atmosphere! Pretty good beer. We went after the boat races...it was a little busy, but, that may be because some of their staff were participating in the boat races. The beer line was out the front door when we got there. However, the lady behind the counter was a machine, she was making it move pretty quickly. We tried the pilsner, the lager, the doppelbach, and the saison. All were very good. No food offered here, But, you're welcome to bring your own in. Due to the festival, one guy was offering popup food out front that smelled good...but he was out of bread for his sandwich when we investigated. I'll go back on a non festival day to get a better barometer on this place...but, all & all, we enjoyed our stop on our Hamtown pub crawl.”

“Awafi is the best cafe in the area. I think their coffee is much better than other 2 cafes near by, especially their lattes, the pistachio one is my sisters and I’s favorite. Their milkshakes are always thick and just the right amount of sweet. The rest of the menu is well priced too, especially the desserts like the milk cakes. It's a nice, affordable way to satisfy a craving or grab something quick for the fam. The staff is always nice, quick, and keeps the place clean”

“My Sister & Brother-In-Law hosted my Godson's Baptismal Luncheon at The Polka Dot. IT WAS PERFECT! The food was AMAZING. The kids loved the Original Nintendo System. The adults loved gathering around the bar. This venue will definitely be considered for all future family events.”

“Not only is the food amazing, but the service here is unparalleled. Through a mistake of my own, my order was actually not placed when I thought it was. Even after figuring out it was my fault the wonderful staff here rushed my order through very fast, and were apologizing to me even though it was my fault. That’s not the type of service you get just anywhere. And the food? The Chicken Mandi was literally “fall off the bone” tender. The rice was cooked to perfection and you can tell their sauces are made fresh and in house. All of this for the most reasonably priced middle eastern food around. One thing is for sure, the Yemeni brothers and sisters who work here take pride in their work. 10/10 recommend.”

“While I love the flavor of their food, the only time we've had an order 100% correct was the first time we ordered. Every time we order since then there's something missing, fries overcooked and hard, messed up items, and things added to what we've ordered when we've requested it to be removed. Thankfully I simply don't like tomatoes and onions and am not allergic to them, cuz they ALWAYS forget to remove the pico when my receipt even says "no pico de gallo". Their queso blanco and their Sabor sauce are probably the two best things about them, at least when they remember to include it even if you pay for extra. For how pricey they are I would expect to have my order correct all the time. I'll be going down to the taco trucks in Southwest Detroit from now on cuz they always get the order right, they're delicious, AND they're inexpensive.”

“It's my husband and I favorite place to get our Greek salads. It's our neighborhood eatery. They don't serve pork which is a super plus. But they serve meat lovers Pizza which is really delicious. I just love the spot sometimes we dine in sometimes we get a carry out but the food is always delicious.”
