“We recently visited Griffin Claw Clubhouse in Rochester Hills and had an excellent experience, thanks in large part to our server and bartender, Mae.

From the moment we sat down, Mae made us feel welcome. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and upbeat, guiding us through the menu with helpful suggestions and spot-on recommendations. Her understanding of the beer and food options stood out and really enhanced our evening.

We ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos, which were fantastic, and tried a mix of drinks including the Peach Geist, the Berserker, and the Screamin’ Pumpkin. Mae described them perfectly, and each one lived up to her recommendation.

Throughout our visit, Mae was consistently friendly, attentive, and proactive, making sure our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed, often before we even had to ask. She struck the perfect balance of being present without ever making us feel rushed.

What impressed us most was Mae’s positive attitude and genuine warmth. She wasn’t just doing her job; she created an experience that felt personal and memorable.

We left with a smile on our faces and will definitely be back. Mae truly elevated our night, and we’re grateful for her outstanding service.”

“It’s pretty expensive but it’s for the convenience and the organic ingredients that you pay for. If you want mass produced products with high sugars and additives drive down Rochester road and find 10 every few miles.I will say my only gripe is that for the smoothies: I don’t like protein in them so when I see a $9.99 price it makes sense WITH protein for a smoothie - whenever I remove the protein I wish it would go down to at least $6.99 or $7.99.Their meals to go are usually what I buy most of. Super convenient.”

“Came in for an early lunch today and was pleasantly greeted by a sweet young lady at the front door. She had such a great smile and energy, very nice to see. Our server greeted us right away and was so upbeat. She took our order right away and our food came out so quick! As we were eating an older woman with long hair came to check on us. She was so nice and accommodating, asked us if everything was to our liking, if we needed anything else, and chatted with us as if we were old friends. We had such a great time that we will be back and hopefully see these three again. Just wish I would have gotten their names :(”

“I am absolutely outraged with the behavior of the owner today at SOHO. My family and I went to this restaurant after Saturday little league games. We had 5 adults, 5 children and 2 babies. We have been to this restaurant countless times as a family. Today, after sitting and looking an menus, ordering drinks, we were met by the manager that came to our table and said “I’m sorry our limit is 8 people”. Confused, we asked for clarity because again, we have been to this restaurant countless times with the SAME group and number of people. In fact, we have NEVER been to this restaurant with less people. I asked, “wait are you saying we can’t eat here today because of the number of people?“ THAT is how confused I seriously was. The manager then responded, “Yes, I’m so sorry”. I pointed out to him that we had been sitting, getting ready to order for quite some time. Moments before this, the waiter came to take our orders but had to leave to grab us extra napkins. He said that his waiter called him all the way from his home because he couldn’t “do it” - referring to asking us to leave. There were quite a few other staff members there. So if this was a rule, why didn’t any of them point it out to the “new person” or let us know right away Of their “party limit”.? Please know we went on a Saturday around 330pm and there was two other parties in the entire restaurant - totaling only 5 other people. To me, if I had a party that was a few people over my “limit” I would not kick them out one, but definitely not when my restaurant is close to empty and the party has already been sat. Because of my “new team members” error- as a manager, I would have continued to serve this party. I need to point out that NONE of us in our entire lives have ever been asked to leave ANYWHERE. We are a Christian family of Pastors and ministers. I say this to speak to our character. There was no behavior on our end, that warranted this. I also pointed out that the table we were sitting at was DESIGNED for more than 10 people. We didn’t come into the restaurant moving tables and chairs together, the table was already set up for 12 people to sit there. I asked the manager why we were sat and waited on For all this time to then be kicked out? He claimed that the person who was our waiter was new and didn’t know their 8 people limit rule. I pointed out the fact that the table we were sitting at was set up for 12 And asked why that is if they had a limit of 8? He then said with our number of kids - it is not safe for them in the restaurant because their establishment serves alcohol. So first it was because our party was more than 8 and then it turned into being an issue with the number of kids? There is absolutely no reason for this behavior. To me, the only thing that makes any sense is it being racially discriminatory. I strongly urge you to no longer go to this restaurant. Of course, we left with no issue because if we are not welcome or wanted because of race or any other invalid reason- we don’t want to eat at the restaurant anyways. But point of my review is to prevent this from happening to anyone else. we used to love this place and our entire family would come. never again, even with 2 people will I step foot in this establishment and I will strongly encourage everyone I know and everyone that’s reading this to do the same.”

“We have come here a handful of times and it is such a treat to see happy staff, who keep the lines moving, and even didn’t seem to mind my overly excited, borderline hyperactive kids! The cookies, of course never disappoint! And I have discovered CURBSIDE! They never take too long. Maybe 5% slower on weekends. But what do you expect with a product like cookies?🍪”

“This has to be one of the crunchiest and delicious chicken I've had in a long time. The 20-hour marinated chicken is moist and the skin is crispy this place will become part of my weekly rotation of food. The spicy chicken is not too overwhelming it's more of the sauce that adds the kick.”

“This ramen place is quickly becoming one of our family favorites. The ramen is always cooked perfectly and we almost always get the extra katzu (pork, chicken, or fish) for $3.95. The rice dishes are great too -- we have tried the curry dons, katsu dons, and the spicy pork dons. My daughter also loves the snow katsu and the fried cheesecake. Service is amazing and owners and staff are so friendly.

There was a family with a crying baby and small kids next to us, and we couldn't hear them at all, so that was a perk. Not the right environment for me, but happy that families with littles can go out for a nice meal and not have to worry about their kids making noise.”

She brings them back and my son just throws the cup across the aisle. And then laughs. Autism is super fun like that. Lauren (the server) was super nice about the mess. Another female server cleaned up the milk. They were both very understanding and it helped so much - probably more than they realize! I tipped them both but I hope a manager sees this, because, they are awesome employees!! You’re lucky to have them!”

“The best Chinese in the state of Michigan . We used to live a couple of blocks down auburn rd and we would take out once a week. Now the last 5 years whenever the wife , kids and I want Chinese we have to drive 1/2 hour to get Pings . Really there is no eating at another Chinese place once you have one bite of their generous and delectable proportions . House made duck sauce and egg rolls are the best ever !”
