The Glass Jug Beer Lab - Downtown Durham Brewery • $$
545 Foster St Suite 10, Durham

“An unexpected, amazing find on the park. Get your locally crafted beer to go if you please. I’ve tried four different beers so far and all have been really good. So far the 40 East is my favorite. This place is definitely worth checking out if you like excellent beer. They have a large selection for a micro-brewery including sour and specialty beers. Love this place!

Update: I've tried a few more and all are exceptional. These guys aren't just making beer; it's obvious they are lovingly crafting it.“

The Glass Jug Beer Lab - RTP Brewery • $$

“I LOVE the glass jug. Their beer choices are amazing, ranging from lagers to IPAs to stouts and my favorite, sours. The service is consistently great, with all the beer tenders serving with a personable touch. I also love the glass jug for group and work events since you can easily rent the atrium space out. I found my community here through run club on Tuesdays, Trivia on Wednesdays, and many other events.“

“Service, beer and food was outstanding. Thank you to who ever thought of brewing something for the Blockhead. My wife was like, we are going once she found out there was a NKOTB boc. Haha. I can’t wait to share with my beer friends. #runforbeer #swabeerfinder“

“Have driven by so many times and finally experienced the outdoor dining last night on a beautiful evening. The food was delicious (even thought they had run out of the rice and beans we were excited to try - just a great reason to go back!) Loved the drinks we tried, and we even splurged with some ice cream at the end. Service was fast and friendly. Now we just wish we had gone sooner!!“

Bull Durham Beer Company Brewery • $
409 Blackwell St, Durham

“I was surprised to find a light(in calories and carbs) beer made by a craft brewery. As a diabetic, this is greatly appreciated. Taste wise, it's a change of pace from most light beers, which are almost all pilsners (this one is an ale). They always have this beer at Food Lion and Urban Axes. I hope to see it in more places around town.“

“We were there for a dog adoption event and I decided to try one of their ciders. I got the Tart Cherry Cider and it was really good. The location is great, but the parking is somewhat challenging to find. I love that they had a lot of ciders, since I have Celiac and am gluten free. But I would love it if some of their beer offerings were also gluten free/gluten reduced.

The space itself is awesome. They have a large game room with a pool table and arcade games, that one of my teenagers really gravitated towards.

And the dog adoption event with Freedom Ride Rescue was great! So many lovable dog options, from young to old, and the fosters were very knowledgeable about the temperament and backstory of each one. Overall, a great experience!“
