“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.”

“Our New Year's Eve dinner at the Glass Onion was fabulous, as expected. We're new to the area and this was our second dinner at the restaurant. We started with tuna tartare, Caesar salad and the yummy complimentary rolls. I had the delicious lobster ravioli entree and my husband had the rib eye steak. Both were wonderful. We agreed that we will be regulars at Glass Onion!”

“We passed by Wagbar on our way to our Airbnb and just knew we had to visit. So many happy dogs playing, my dog was anxious to join everytime we passed by. I love that they take being up to date on vaccines serious. We were greeted by what I called the "Welcome committee" consisting of 3 huge golden retrievers. Got inside, ordered a few drinks and set Stash free. He was right away accepted into the group of dogs playing and shown around. Not only were all the dogs friendly and very social, but their owners were as well. Great conversations were had. Absolutely recommend this place. The employee working that day(can't remember her name) was amazing with the dogs. She took notice anytime the dogs were "bored". She would come out and entice them to play around. Hilarious seeing the regulars reaction to her approach because they KNEW what was up haha! Can't wait to visit again when we are in town.”

“Quick service the server was nice. The tea was good. One of my sides was forgotten until I asked about it. The only thing I didn't like was the sides change day to day. I also don't think they have Mac and cheese”

“Laid back cosy vibes with gorgeous Mountain View’s from the patio and the locals who go are friendly. The kava tender who worked tonight was quick, efficient and friendly and the beverages are priced reasonably well as with the quality is excellent. Regulars come to perform awesome music for everyone to jam out to. Definitely recommend stopping by 👍”

“I had breakfast; two eggs over-medium, bacon, Grits, toast, and coffee. The food was cooked to order, hot, and delicious at a good price. The staff were attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Check it out if you haven't already, and I will look forward to eating there again.”

“What a terrific local watering hole. As you enter, you can immediately tell this is a spot where locals come to chat with their friends over a cold beer. As someone relatively new to the area, I stopped in for the first time and was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. The second time I came in, Holly, who was working the bar, greeted me by name and remembered my beer preference. Frankly, I'm thinking I could use a cold beer right now... maybe I'll see you there!”

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!”

“You can’t go wrong with the AMAZING pound cakes! So far, Ive had the vanilla, almond and last, but not least, turtle! The cakes are delicious and worth every penny. Not only can you have the cake shipped to you, its FAST!! The customer service is above and beyond as well. Highly recommend.”

“My husband and I along with our son stopped here to check out the pastries as I love anything sweet. There was a short line but it moved quickly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A very pleasant young man took our order. One of the locals standing beside us in line recommended the mountain eclair so we did order one along with a variety of cheesecake, cookies and a couple of pies. We waited just a few minutes for our order to be packed up. The inside is very charming with lots of wood and marble. I liked the open display case, so that we could see all of the pastries. Every single item we ate was delicious, and I would definitely recommend visiting this bakery anytime you’re near Asheville or the surrounding towns. The bakery is very clean, the staff is very nice and seem to work well together, and all of the food we had was excellent! 10/10!!”

“We do not eat fast food often but if we do we go to Jersey Mike’s. Why? Because they slice their proteins right in front of you, the vegetables are always fresh! Great sandwich choices. Plus they have a rewards club so you can get a free order now & then! You can really enjoy their quality compared to other sub shops.”

“I'm from out of town and decided to stop in this cute little local ice cream shop. It's very clean and has a mix of handmade item goods like candles, soaps, and crochet items. For my ice cream I got cherry vanilla and bourbon pecan. I really enjoyed the combination of the flavors together. The ice cream is smooth, creamy and very flavorful. The ice cream doesn't melt to quick and the price on a double scoop is absolutely amazing considering the scoop size in the photo. When I come back I will definitely come stop in here again. I recommend just giving it a try.”

“We stopped here for breakfast at apx 11 am this morning, 07/07/23. We sat at the counter due to all seats being taken, busy place. Service was great, food was excellent, staff were all friendly and helpful and the camaraderie among them was easy and comfortable . The two 'grillmasters 'Bob' and ? sorry I forgot to ask her name ..were amazing to watch. 8 plates up and no tickets, mind boggling. “Our family doesn’t often have the opportunity to go out to eat together since we all live in different areas. When we decided to dine out with our special needs sister, we were pleasantly surprised by how quick and accommodating the staff was to her unique needs. The service was prompt, the food was delicious, and most importantly, they took the time to be patient, compassionate, and truly understanding of her sensory needs. It made the experience enjoyable and stress-free for our entire family, and we are very grateful. I was honestly surprised how accommodating they are to every customer and my little sister already wants to go back.”

“Food is usually good unless you go an hour until they close and then they don't put anything fresh out. They are also usually out of most sushi but the Egg drop soup is the best in my opinion”

“Food is usually ok and service is great if you get the shorter Hispanic lady helping you. The atmosphere is weird because it's a drive through/car hop and the inside is hardly ever open. And when it is there is never anyone consistently checking on the counter.”
