“Great food and great service!! Will definitely be back. My wife loved the strawberry burrata!!”
“On Friday evening my husband and I didn’t have a reservation so we were able to get two bar seats and it was PERFECT. The bartender was so knowledgeable and suggested some great food. Can’t wait to go back!”
“We love James at the front of the house and the super talented chefs - such a unique and fun experience. Three of us had the vegetarian tasting menu and it was amazing! I wish there were more restaurants like this! Thank you!”
“I went to Lucky Bones on New Year’s Day, for lunch!! They did not disappoint!! Wed’s are Oyster day specials!! Had the best Ousters Rocketfellers!! Then I had the BOLT sandwich!’it was soo good!! Highly recommend Lucky Bones! Plus, I added point to my rewards card!!”

“PRIMAL in Cape May offers an exceptional dining experience! . As a first-time visitor during the off-season, I was truly impressed by both the outstanding service and the remarkable food. Chef Mia and her team deliver on quality, quantity, and value.
The meal started with complimentary fresh-made bread, followed by a delightful house salad. The main courses—filet, halibut, and a lobster/scallop appetizer in the shallot cream sauce—were all flavorful and cooked to perfection. And the Truffle Yukon mashed potatoes? Simply the best I’ve ever had. Dessert was a tower of homemade cookies surrounded by fresh fruit and decadent vanilla icing.
PRIMAL is a standout gem in Cape May, offering an unforgettable dining experience that combines exceptional service, expertly crafted dishes, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or visiting during the off-season, this restaurant is a must-try. Chef Mia and her team have truly set the bar high—an experience worth savoring from start to finish!”
“I have now been to Behr Brewing on several occasions, I like it's quaint and relaxed atmosphere...but mostly I like the beer, I'm not sure how I would describe my pallet but my visits to numerous other breweries I often taste beers that just aren't for me. I can honestly say every time I have visited Behr all of the beers I have tried are very drinkable and I have enjoyed every single batch. very satisfying for sure.”

“We absolutely adore this place! The decor is top-notch, creating a romantic ambiance. The service is excellent, and the food, though not extensive in its selections, is all delicious. I ordered the roast chicken, and my husband opted for the Wagyu burger. Both dishes were tender and juicy, exactly as we had hoped. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend it.
By the way, if you do get there early, the outdoor porch is a great spot to sit and enjoy your wait time in style, and don’t let me forget to mention this place is BYOB.”
“Enjoyed The Y.B. during restaurant week. Was our first time and we will be back. Everything was fresh and well presented. The service was excellent. I’ve probably walked past this little gem a hundred times and never stopped in for a meal. I’m just sorry I didn’t try it sooner! Thanks for an excellent meal! We can’t wait to come back! Cheers!”
“I absolutely recommend Peter Shields Inn for a wedding venue. We had a small wedding on the beach and our wedding dinner was handled by Peter Shields. We worked with Amy (their event coordinator) and she was so helpful in every way. She went above and beyond to make everything so easy for us. I literally handed them a box of our wedding decorations and the tables and everything was set up perfectly! I didn’t have to lift a finger. Their bartender served up our signature drinks with a smile. Our guitarist serenaded guests on the porch while they enjoyed cocktails and wonderful hors doeurves. Dinner was seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Perfection hands down!”
“Yozu is a really great Japanese restaurant. Unlike most other restaurants in the area they stay open beyond 8:00 PM and gladly served me at 8:45 PM. Their salmon teriyaki and Long Island Rolls are great. The prices are reasonable and they offer hibachi. I’ll be back here when I come back to Cape May for vacation in the summertime.”
“My husband and I come to Cape May every year for our anniversary we have our favorite places that we love to visit this was our first visit to Pacino's bistro and we went back the night after to pick up again!!! The food was phenomenal and the wait staff were very hard working and friendly!!! I am server myself and this not an easy job but they were excellent. The ambiance in restaurant made the experience that much better. Cannot say enough good things about this establishment!”

“speedy, great service with no complaints! ben and jerry’s has a wide variety of flavors posted up on their wall before you come in as a little menu, which are all kosher and any dietary restrictions are clarified under the flavor — where non-dairy is separated under the color geeen and sorbet is separated in pink. the ice cream here is highly delicious and is hard to melt but it still doesn’t feel rock solid when you’re eating. the staff here are very polite and the introductory board for the employees is really cute :) i love the message that ben and jerry’s spreads with classic flavors that we all love!”
“Always love the Lobster House, been going for years. Ate at the Raw Bar. Had the grilled swordfish with lemon butter, side of fries and corn on the cob. Fish was cooked perfectly and the corn was nicely cooked, not mushy.
Was a rainy day after Labor Day so was slow, but still loved eating on the deck looking at the water and boats.”
“These are the best things ever!! In the summer you can’t get near the place because it’s so busy. The like is worth the wait! They have mail order and we have ordered three times! The more u order the better the price. This last time we ordered 24! The owner of this store is super nice and treats his employees so good! Def MUST HAVE!!”
“Yesterday we went to Cape May Winery with a bachelorette party group. We had a great experience from booking, too ordering our wine and enjoying our time in the lower cellar room. Special shout out to the amazing table of guests next to us that included 3 married couples that each had been married for over 25 years. They stopped at our table to give our bride-to-be some amazing wedding and successful marriage advice. It was a really special visit and I am so glad we chose to come here! 💜”

“Great small town shop. They have a great selection of household and kitchen accessories. They have a good variety of foods as well and of course they have a whole section of coffee. They have a bunch of coffee to choose from and you can have it ground fresh in store if you like. The location in the heart of downtown Cape May shopping and it’s hard to miss. Parking can be limited depending on what time of the year you go but is not to difficult. We look forward to our nice trip in to Cape May to return and try some more fresh coffee!”
“Had dinner with the wife and daughter here Thursday night, 9/18/2025...
This was one of the best dinners we have ever had.
FIVE STAR everything at a very good price.
The oysters, the bluefish, the squid, the tile fish....Everything was fresh and prepared and presented perfectly.
And the wait staff even better.
Will be going back again for certain.
Thank you for a great experience...”
“I ordered a veggie burger & sweet potato fries, pretty much my go-to at a pizza place. It was tasty but better than anywhere else because of the experience. I saw you give away food to someone in need, I saw you show compassion & kindness. I will support this business in the future! “On the way to Cape May” ❤️”
“Yummy smoothie bowls! 😋 Perfect on a hot day. I ordered the green bowl called 'Lola', topped with granola, pineapple, coconut, mango and honey. Waited a little bit for it to be made, but it was worth the wait. It had more granola than I was expecting, but it hit the spot. The fruit was fresh and sweet. It's a short walk from the beach, so I got to take it back to my beach chair to eat. Otherwise, there's some tables with umbrellas clustered together in front of the eatery. Plenty of other food options (think food trucks) in the circle in case you have a group with different tastes.”
“Originally got the ube soft serve and it was amazing, solid 9.5/10. Came back for the matcha soft serve (with coconut flakes added) and it was transcendent. Probably the greatest ice cream i have ever had in my life, and as an avid matcha lover it was glorious. I genuinely do not think anything will ever top it. I think after the first bite i ascended to heaven, high fived god, and only returned so i could eat more of it. The texture? Perfect. The sweetness level? Just right. But most of all, the matcha flavor was strong and high quality- not like other ice creams I’ve had where it tastes like vanilla with a whisper of low-quality green tea. If you like matcha, i am literally begging you to get it. Xoxo”
“My husband and I have been visiting Cape May for years now, and we cannot understand how we waited this long to stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for dinner. We spent a few weeks in the area this year and had meals at the Oyster Bay Bar three times!! From our first visit, we felt so incredibly welcomed beginning with a nice chat with the hostess as we waited for our table. Just from that brief chat during our first visit, the same hostess greeted me by my name on our 2nd visit. I’m embarrassed to say that I cannot remember her name, but I will say that she was incredibly lovely and personable. Our server, Bobby, who took care of us on both our first and last visits, had a wonderful personality, sharing some tidbits with us of the history of the restaurant and with being local to the area, answered some of our questions about the holiday season in Cape May. Now, about the food…with each visit we tried something new and found each meal to be delicious and satisfying. Our favorite appetizer, which we had on all three visits, was the charbroiled oysters. Absolutely delightful!! The mix of the Parmesan cheese in the garlic butter….so very good!! My husband and I always like to do something special on our last night of vacation…and you guessed it, the Oyster Bay Bar was our choice for dinner! The lovely hostess greeted us once again and mentioned to the owner, Gary, that this was our third visit and that we chose this restaurant as our last dinner on vacation. Gary stopped by our table, after sending a complementary round of drinks to us, and spent time speaking with us. Knowing we were tossing the idea of a return visit during the holidays, he gave us his personal cell phone number to reach out to him for not only restaurant reservations but also if we had any other questions regarding the holiday visit. Never before, have I encountered such genuine kindness and graciousness in a visit to a restaurant establishment. I cannot stress to all who take the time to read this review that you most definitely must stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for a meal. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Gary, Bobby and the most loveliest hostess for adding to our vacation memories and experiences.”
“If you’re looking for Cape May’s hottest subterranean hotspot, look no further than The Boiler Room. This place has everything: wood-fired pizza, Caesar salads that slap, neon lights, exposed brick, and a sound system that’ll knock your Birkenstocks off. And the staff? Honey. First, let’s talk about Matt, the food and beverage manager. He’s like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain, pulling levers of flavor and hospitality. Ever had a martini that made you cry from joy? You will. Now add Johnny and Kyle behind the bar—Cape May’s dynamic duo. They pour, they shake, they stir, and they SERVE. Watching them in action is like seeing a choreographed dance, except everyone gets a drink at the end. Now let’s get into the pizza. This pizza? This pizza is like if Naples and Brooklyn had a baby that went to culinary school in Rome. It’s crispy, chewy, saucy perfection. And don’t even get me started on the Caesar salad—it’s crunchy, briny, creamy, and anchovy-whispered. I’d write it a love letter and send it first class. But that’s not all. When the sun goes down, this place transforms. The Boiler Room becomes an underground concert hall of dreams. The live bands? They funk, boogie, and rock ‘n’ roll like it’s their job (because it is). Think Parliament meets Tom Petty in a dance-off judged by Prince. They groove party anthems and timeless classics that’ll have you screaming, “This is MY SONG!” while you dance like it’s 1999. The Boiler Room has everything: brick oven dreams, Caesar epiphanies, killer cocktails, craft beers, sultry lighting, beautiful people, bar legends, and music that hits like a vintage disco ball to the soul. So if you’re in Cape May and you’re not at the Boiler Room, what are you even doing with your life? Sent from my iPhone”

“We always look for dog friendly places while on vacation. We stopped at Cold Spring Brewery and the pups loved it as much as we did. The beer was delicious, staff was super friendly and informative on the history of the building and the beer and it's a beautiful building. Sophie and Rem got pup cups and peanut butter cups while we enjoyed our flights of beer. The inside is just as beautiful and spacious as the outside. Must stop if in the area.”
“The wife and I were out and about and decided to try the Waterside location in Lakewood Ranch Fl. I have to say im a bit of a critic because we have family in Maine and have tasted all ends of the spectrum of lobster rolls from amazing to terrible and this place makes a great Lobster rolls with a spot on price comparable to Maine and other restaurants in the area. The staff member we dealt with was super nice I wish I would have got his name, but I do know he was from Jersey and had great knowledge knew the product well. We had 2 Connecticut rolls and they were great. I would say this place is worth checking out. Theres only outdoor seating, but you can easily walk around waterside and find a spot to kick back and enjoy or walk out enjoy their outdoor seating and it will complement their lobster rolls very well. They also have nice little selection of beers/beverages and a whole N/A fridge too.”
“We visited today first day of the 2025 season. The atmosphere is awesome beach sand with tables and umbrellas, Large fire pits and a large outdoor bar. The weather was 65 and partly cloudy . The host was friendly and welcoming made us feel right at home. Our waiter Jamie was friendly, accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. He made us laugh and we never felt rushed his personality is on par! We had fried shrimp with sauces, and fried Mac and cheese balls with remoulade sauce and some cocktails. Everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back later in the summer!”

“We celebrated our 53rd anniversary there tonight. They could not have been nicer to us. They treated us to a very special evening. Balloons at the table and complimentary champagne. They also treated us to a dessert of our choice. The food was delicious. I think we found our new favorite restaurant.”
“The owner is a local teacher during the year and a crepe maker in the summer. The crepes are made before your eyes and the fruit is freshly cut. The smoothies and drinks are also delicious. He puts a lot of topping in one crepe. This is our go to for breakfast, brunch or breakfast for linner. Consistently delicious and made by a really nice guy. We are usually first on line Opening Day and make many crepe stops throughout the season. We’ve been in Cape May more than 30 years and recommend CHILL as among the best in Cape May. Not a tourist trap. ; )”
“"Cafe Nutella" , 713 Beach Ave., Cape May, NJ 08204, across the Convention Hall. Excellent Mediterranean Food you will not find anywhere in Cape May. Maybe you don't know that Cafe Nutella has a new owner and a new Restaurant. Master Chef Ahmed is an excellent cook, his specialty is Mediterranean Cuisine. I ate Oax Tail Tajine, Moroccan Specialty: Giant beef Oax Tail simmered for hours in house made j*** sauce, dried apricot topped with crispy onions. I also ate an Avocado Salad: Rich, creamy avocados, vibrant tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, red onions, and a fresh herb dressing. I can strongly recommend this Restaurant with all my heart; Ahmed, the Master Chef prepared the food with passion and a lot of knowledge. Very tasty, I had a great time., Ali”

“My daughter and I were really looking forward to having dinner there but were disappointed. Our reservation was handled poorly not to mention rudely. I indicated outdoor seating when I called, then also asked for outdoor seating when we arrived but were initially given an indoor table. I understand these things happen. But, the real disappointment was the lamb. One of the chops was so tough, my knife couldn't cut it nor could I chew it.”
“My husband and I come down every summer...you are always our first stop when we hit town. Absolutely love your food and atmosphere! Nick took care of us and he was phenomenal! He was so kind, accommodating and truly just a great person. We stopped on our way out to let the manager Erik know how great Nick was. It wasn't just a thank you and move on...Erick, despite the place hopping took the time to ask us what we had...did we enjoy the menu...customer service all around was 150%. Highly recommend the rooftop, Crab Dip with homemade pita chips, Brisket Bites, Fish tacos and the very best Blood Orange margarita on the island!”

“Fins is amazing. Hope you’re lucky enough to be there on a day Kenny is. He’s an amazing bartender with a great spirit and can help fill you in on all things Cape May. He makes the best drinks and will find exactly what you’re looking for menu wise (everything is great!) Fins is a must do!!”
“First time rating here at this BYOB and was pleasantly suprised with the quality of the food. We had Tortellini Alfredo and Lasagna for our main courses and the were both outstanding. We ate outside since the weather was so nice.
We will go back and try different mains next time.
Very affordable, especilly since they are a BYOB.”
“We had an absolute perfect dining experience. Each course was outstanding. Peach & Burrata salad, delicious. Scallops perfectly done and chocolate panna cotta so good. Loved every thing about Grana BYOB.”
