“We had an absolute perfect dining experience. Each course was outstanding. Peach & Burrata salad, delicious. Scallops perfectly done and chocolate panna cotta so good. Loved every thing about Grana BYOB.”

“PRIMAL in Cape May offers an exceptional dining experience! . As a first-time visitor during the off-season, I was truly impressed by both the outstanding service and the remarkable food. Chef Mia and her team deliver on quality, quantity, and value.
The meal started with complimentary fresh-made bread, followed by a delightful house salad. The main courses—filet, halibut, and a lobster/scallop appetizer in the shallot cream sauce—were all flavorful and cooked to perfection. And the Truffle Yukon mashed potatoes? Simply the best I’ve ever had. Dessert was a tower of homemade cookies surrounded by fresh fruit and decadent vanilla icing.
PRIMAL is a standout gem in Cape May, offering an unforgettable dining experience that combines exceptional service, expertly crafted dishes, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or visiting during the off-season, this restaurant is a must-try. Chef Mia and her team have truly set the bar high—an experience worth savoring from start to finish!”

“I have now been to Behr Brewing on several occasions, I like it's quaint and relaxed atmosphere...but mostly I like the beer, I'm not sure how I would describe my pallet but my visits to numerous other breweries I often taste beers that just aren't for me. I can honestly say every time I have visited Behr all of the beers I have tried are very drinkable and I have enjoyed every single batch. very satisfying for sure.”

“I absolutely recommend Peter Shields Inn for a wedding venue. We had a small wedding on the beach and our wedding dinner was handled by Peter Shields. We worked with Amy (their event coordinator) and she was so helpful in every way. She went above and beyond to make everything so easy for us. I literally handed them a box of our wedding decorations and the tables and everything was set up perfectly! I didn’t have to lift a finger. Their bartender served up our signature drinks with a smile. Our guitarist serenaded guests on the porch while they enjoyed cocktails and wonderful hors doeurves. Dinner was seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Perfection hands down!”
“Enjoyed The Y.B. during restaurant week. Was our first time and we will be back. Everything was fresh and well presented. The service was excellent. I’ve probably walked past this little gem a hundred times and never stopped in for a meal. I’m just sorry I didn’t try it sooner! Thanks for an excellent meal! We can’t wait to come back! Cheers!”
“Cuisine to international standards. Fairly expensive compared to a couple of years ago, but being a BYOB., you can enjoy super wines of your own and save money. Specials include larger portions and much more expensive meats. Unless a huge eater, stick with the high quality standard menu offerings and still eat exceptional food.”
“Yozu is a really great Japanese restaurant. Unlike most other restaurants in the area they stay open beyond 8:00 PM and gladly served me at 8:45 PM. Their salmon teriyaki and Long Island Rolls are great. The prices are reasonable and they offer hibachi. I’ll be back here when I come back to Cape May for vacation in the summertime.”
“My husband and I have been visiting Cape May for years now, and we cannot understand how we waited this long to stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for dinner. We spent a few weeks in the area this year and had meals at the Oyster Bay Bar three times!! From our first visit, we felt so incredibly welcomed beginning with a nice chat with the hostess as we waited for our table. Just from that brief chat during our first visit, the same hostess greeted me by my name on our 2nd visit. I’m embarrassed to say that I cannot remember her name, but I will say that she was incredibly lovely and personable. Our server, Bobby, who took care of us on both our first and last visits, had a wonderful personality, sharing some tidbits with us of the history of the restaurant and with being local to the area, answered some of our questions about the holiday season in Cape May. Now, about the food…with each visit we tried something new and found each meal to be delicious and satisfying. Our favorite appetizer, which we had on all three visits, was the charbroiled oysters. Absolutely delightful!! The mix of the Parmesan cheese in the garlic butter….so very good!! My husband and I always like to do something special on our last night of vacation…and you guessed it, the Oyster Bay Bar was our choice for dinner! The lovely hostess greeted us once again and mentioned to the owner, Gary, that this was our third visit and that we chose this restaurant as our last dinner on vacation. Gary stopped by our table, after sending a complementary round of drinks to us, and spent time speaking with us. Knowing we were tossing the idea of a return visit during the holidays, he gave us his personal cell phone number to reach out to him for not only restaurant reservations but also if we had any other questions regarding the holiday visit. Never before, have I encountered such genuine kindness and graciousness in a visit to a restaurant establishment. I cannot stress to all who take the time to read this review that you most definitely must stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for a meal. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Gary, Bobby and the most loveliest hostess for adding to our vacation memories and experiences.”
“I got a Connecticut-style (warm w/butter) lobster roll and it was good. The bun was toasted but the lobster was still a little cold which was fine I didn’t mind and I felt like the cost was fair for market price and the total amount of lobster I got.”

“These are the best things ever!! In the summer you can’t get near the place because it’s so busy. The like is worth the wait! They have mail order and we have ordered three times! The more u order the better the price. This last time we ordered 24! The owner of this store is super nice and treats his employees so good! Def MUST HAVE!!”
“The worker was so nice. She showed us ingredients and was "invested" in us. She even treated us well. Service was LOVELY! Definitely recommend. The food itself was soo good. I mean, for the price, this kills. I really loved it. SO MUCH! I just wished this was in my location. Thank you for this pleasant memory.
Vegetarian options: Limited options.
Kid-friendliness: Worker was sweet.”
“Yesterday we went to Cape May Winery with a bachelorette party group. We had a great experience from booking, too ordering our wine and enjoying our time in the lower cellar room. Special shout out to the amazing table of guests next to us that included 3 married couples that each had been married for over 25 years. They stopped at our table to give our bride-to-be some amazing wedding and successful marriage advice. It was a really special visit and I am so glad we chose to come here! 💜”
“Very friendly staff, bright open atmosphere across from the beach. Food was good, quick service.”

“I ordered a veggie burger & sweet potato fries, pretty much my go-to at a pizza place. It was tasty but better than anywhere else because of the experience. I saw you give away food to someone in need, I saw you show compassion & kindness. I will support this business in the future! “On the way to Cape May” ❤️”
“It's been about 5 years since the last time I was here. I was worried the prices might have sky rocketed and made it unaffordable, but I was pleased to see that there were many affordable options. We took our number and waited to be called to order.
We ordered a pitcher of Iced Tea at the bar and sipped it as we sat out by the docks till our number was called. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. We enjoyed a beautiful atmosphere watching the boats go in and out as the cool breeze cooled out skin as we sat by the shaded docks.
I definitely recommend the broiled seafood platters!
The lobster house does not disappoint.”
“My daughter and I were really looking forward to having dinner there but were disappointed. Our reservation was handled poorly not to mention rudely. I indicated outdoor seating when I called, then also asked for outdoor seating when we arrived but were initially given an indoor table. I understand these things happen. But, the real disappointment was the lamb. One of the chops was so tough, my knife couldn't cut it nor could I chew it.”

“Love the vibe, feels like Key west. Grrrrreat times. Fantastic bartenders, craft cocktails, the food trucks are out of this world… always excellent entertainment, and management runs an extremely tight ship. No riffraff and they close fairly early of the evening. Absolutely love it.”
“Great small town shop. They have a great selection of household and kitchen accessories. They have a good variety of foods as well and of course they have a whole section of coffee. They have a bunch of coffee to choose from and you can have it ground fresh in store if you like. The location in the heart of downtown Cape May shopping and it’s hard to miss. Parking can be limited depending on what time of the year you go but is not to difficult. We look forward to our nice trip in to Cape May to return and try some more fresh coffee!”
“Quincy’s Lobster Roll at Waterside Place: As someone who grew up in the Northeast and knows a thing or two about authentic New England-style lobster salad, I can confidently say that Quincy’s Lobster Roll at Waterside Place is absolutely delicious. The lobster was incredibly fresh, perfectly sweet, and generously portioned. The roll itself was just the right texture—soft and slightly toasted—and let the quality of the lobster shine. This was a true taste of home, and I’ll definitely be back!”
“When visiting Cape May this Christmas season, my fiancé and I went to Cold Spring Brewery to try it. We absolutely loved it! It is decorated for the holidays and cozy inside. We were thrilled to hear that our pup was allowed to be inside so we didn’t have to sit out in the cold with him. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They even gave our puppy a special treat. The beer was delicious. The tap room and bathrooms were clean. On Saturday, there was live music and it was so enjoyable. We loved our time at Cold Spring so much that we returned to the brewery on Sunday for the dog day afternoon special. It was so sweet. Unfortunately we observed a rude patron who complained about the dogs being present at the brewery (even though it is the designated dog day afternoon). If you don’t like to be around the pups, maybe Sunday afternoons aren’t for you. Everyone else at the brewery was kind and super friendly. Def recommend it here!”
“Food has been better than it has been in the past which makes it way more enjoyable. Last year I went and it was all melted when they handed it to me, but this year it was amazing. The service was okay, they really just ask us what we want and that’s it so. The spot to sit it pretty cool, choices of umbrellas to sit under.”
“We visited today first day of the 2025 season. The atmosphere is awesome beach sand with tables and umbrellas, Large fire pits and a large outdoor bar. The weather was 65 and partly cloudy . The host was friendly and welcoming made us feel right at home. Our waiter Jamie was friendly, accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. He made us laugh and we never felt rushed his personality is on par! We had fried shrimp with sauces, and fried Mac and cheese balls with remoulade sauce and some cocktails. Everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back later in the summer!”

“Freshly made, quality food. Fried oysters were huge and cooked to perfection. Great choice!”
“Great food, great time, and great service! Shannon is an awesome hostess. Definitely will be coming back!”

“We love Port. Always a great breeze and view at the outdoor bar. Drinks, salads, seafood, oysters, and sushi are just perfect. And, Luke is one of the nicest and friendliest bartenders in the CM area. We will be back.”
“Tonight was our first time trying Panico’s. It will definitely not be our last. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are in Cape May you have to try it. You will not be disappointed.”

“We celebrated our 53rd anniversary there tonight. They could not have been nicer to us. They treated us to a very special evening. Balloons at the table and complimentary champagne. They also treated us to a dessert of our choice. The food was delicious. I think we found our new favorite restaurant.”
“The owner is a local teacher during the year and a crepe maker in the summer. The crepes are made before your eyes and the fruit is freshly cut. The smoothies and drinks are also delicious. He puts a lot of topping in one crepe. This is our go to for breakfast, brunch or breakfast for linner. Consistently delicious and made by a really nice guy. We are usually first on line Opening Day and make many crepe stops throughout the season. We’ve been in Cape May more than 30 years and recommend CHILL as among the best in Cape May. Not a tourist trap. ; )”
“"Cafe Nutella" , 713 Beach Ave., Cape May, NJ 08204, across the Convention Hall. Excellent Mediterranean Food you will not find anywhere in Cape May. Maybe you don't know that Cafe Nutella has a new owner and a new Restaurant. Master Chef Ahmed is an excellent cook, his specialty is Mediterranean Cuisine. I ate Oax Tail Tajine, Moroccan Specialty: Giant beef Oax Tail simmered for hours in house made j*** sauce, dried apricot topped with crispy onions. I also ate an Avocado Salad: Rich, creamy avocados, vibrant tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, red onions, and a fresh herb dressing. I can strongly recommend this Restaurant with all my heart; Ahmed, the Master Chef prepared the food with passion and a lot of knowledge. Very tasty, I had a great time., Ali”

“Pretty good pub fare with decent prices. Sometimes a little too crowded & loud for my liking, but most won't mind that.
They know how to make two of my fave casual meals: a Reuben and Fish & Chips, both of which in other places manage to be soggy rather than toasted or fried to crispy perfection.”
“Fins still has great food as was there 10 years ago for its gran opening- plus over ther years. Most recently 7/19/25 and the combo shrimp and clump crab salad is wonderful- cold, lite mayo, and presentation wonderful. The filet was cooked as requested and flavored well. Fries hot and crispy as ordered. Denise our server was awesome, friendly, knew her job- and believe is one of the two original servers still there. She was a doll!”
“Great food and great service!! Will definitely be back. My wife loved the strawberry burrata!!”
