“Cafe Piecebook truly feels like a second home to me. It's my go-to spot for a daily pick-me-up. Their white mocha is my favorite when I want something warm and cozy, and the iced caramel latte is perfect when I'm craving something refreshing. The cookies n cream cookie is absolutely delicious, and their seasonal drinks never disappoint, especially the teddy graham latte.
The owner, Seoul, is amazing and genuinely treats you like family. The rest of the staff are just as wonderful, always patient and welcoming. On top of that, the interior is very unique and edgy with a cool aesthetic that makes you want to stay awhile. The great reviews are well deserved. “Shah’s Halal is such a great addition to Cliffside Park! They started as a single food cart in Queens back in 2005, and now they’ve grown into a 100% Halal-certified international brand with 120+ locations and it’s easy to see why. Their food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with humanely sourced meats and crisp veggies.

The menu has something for everyone: platters, gyros, burgers, salads, and even vegan options. And of course, the legendary white sauce… it’s a must. I always ask for extra because it truly makes every bite better.

I tried the cheesesteak and it was incredibly comforting and packed with flavor. If you’re craving Halal, this is the spot plus they’re open late! Highly recommend checking them out.“

“Great place to eat Turkish food. Service is excellent & atmosphere is very nice: casual & friendly. Lots of tapas to choose from. Lamb dish is tender & baklava is superb. There’s live entertainment on the weekends. Sometimes one of the guests will be playing a clarinet or a guitar while eating. Lol. Lots of local Turkish people eat in this place. “Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

I appreciate Kimika’s creative menu with plenty of vegetarian options. Our waitress Kara/Cara was so friendly and helpful. I started with a Spritz that I think could’ve used some more bubbles, but the flavors were on point. The food was good but I felt like there could’ve been a bit more flavor. We tried the Truffle Carbonara, Soy Butter Bigoli, and Eggplant Katsu - I think the Bigoli was my favorite (think elevated lo mien). For dessert, we tried the lava cake, matcha French toast (would get it with ice cream if I were to over come again) and the Nutella Bombolocini (very creative - think mochi stuffed with Nutella).
Overall, I loved the concept of Kimika and the service, but I think there could’ve been just a tad more flavor in some of our dishes. Definitely a place to try once!“

“I’ve never felt more at home in a restaurant than Deser B. And his team made me feel tonight. He was the most authenticly kind and hospitable person I’ve met in New York and needs to be promoted to running all of the stores the way he runs this one.
This was the most authentic Mexican taco in north America. Corn tortillas made in House for each order fresh. I tried all of the protein sources and every single one of them slapped. 20 out of 5 stars. I mean if you don’t go here while you are in town you are crazy.

The toppings and salsa were the best I’ve ever had. The tacos were ready in less than 1 min after I ordered. They are obsessed with being the best and it stands out“

“Had a wonderful dinner experience at Adda tonight. The food was exceptional. The chefs know what to do with the spices to create some of the best flavors in all of these dishes. The curry leaf crab is a must! All the dishes were great. But the one of the best bites we had was a simple yet so flavorful kulfi popsicle desert that was dipped in strawberry cream sauce. Also what was top of the line was the service. Our server Swayam was a delight. He was the kindest person with a great personality. He was very knowledgeable about all the items and was a great help with recommendations. Service was a 10 out of ten. It’s hard to get a reso here, but that means everyone is going here. This restaurant is a must.

“Antidote was such a great spot to have dinner on my visit to NYC. The wait was not too long considering there were 7 people in my party. We had so many items off the menu and the staff was very attentive to allergies and other food preferences. The tea smocked duck was incredible, the cucumber was amazing, the wontons were delicious! Everyone loved their dish it was absolutely a great dinner. The only downside was that some of the fish dishes were made with tilapia which is not a fish preference for most of the friends I was with. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant“

“This place really lived up to the hype - all the food was fantastic esp the ricotta crostina, meatballs, rigatoni, and the rice balls, but everything was above average. Additionally service was great, and very lively fun atmosphere, plus it was really warm given how cold its been recently. All and all i think its a great place to take a group of 8 or more for reasonably priced italian food that has above average taste. I will definitely be back.“

“I really came fully prepared to hate on this place, most of all because C picked it, but also because it is hyped to death. Further hatred materialized when I waited in line for our reservation and felt like a schmuck.

Then I realized the line wasn't for people with reservations, I went inside, we were seated immediately, our waiter was fabulous, the food was fabulous, and the wine was fabulous. Everything was phenomenal and extra, extra good.“

The mozzarella/green pepper with soy balsamic was insanely good, the ribs were melt in your mouth and the prawn roll delicious too. “When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. “Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“
