“OMG!Traveling from NC and this place was definitely on our list as a must visit. This is without a doubt the best Ramin we've ever had and is truley world class. Can't believe there were no Stars on the window. The staff was very attentive and excited to see us enjoy every drop. We only get to the city once or twice a year but we've instantly added this place to the list!I Didn't take a picture of the delicious Daikon radish salad we had but I do remember it's bright flavor and delicate texture. Thank you!“

“Their menu is extensive but I got classic things like the curry puffs, crab rangoon, and pad khee mao which were all great. The pad khee mao was quite spicy and I can handle a good amount of spice so I would ask for it not so spicy if you can’t handle too spicy. Very delicious and flavorful though!Beautiful lighting sitting outdoors by the way!“

“I heard that Tonchin is difficult to get walk-ins for, so I was really excited to get a reservation here. There was a long line of walk-ins when we arrived for our 12pm reservation. The restaurant has a cool modern vibe and good service. Overall there were some things I liked, but nothing was particularly memorable. The kimchi mushroom ($8) was meh and not worth the cost. It was very small, cold, and sour -- just hard strips of oyster mushroom in a chili oil/vinegar flavor. I didn't taste the kimchi flavor. The original maguro ($27) was very good. Lots of great flavors and textures, and everything was cut to the same size. I enjoyed the crunchy bits. The tebasaki ($18 for 6 pieces) had quite big and tender wings. The drumettes had more flavor and sauciness. This wasn't a must-get, but it was decent. The smoked dashi ramen ($22) definitely lived up to its name. It was a rich but not overly heavy pork broth with smoked dashi liquid on top. It was good but not amazing. I didn't love that the bamboo was in a big chunk, which made it hard to eat. The noodles are nothing special. I felt similarly about the tonkotsu ramen.I got the aka drink ($18) which was pretty good -- very floral and good sweetness. It wasn't that big, though -- it had a giant ice block in it.Overall the restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is quick to come out, but nothing would make me come back. The maguro was definitely the highlight.“

“Delicious ramen, one of the best in town. It was especially perfect for me as I don’t eat pork and it’s always hard to get a non-pork ramen. Here they have chicken, beef, veggies broths! Amazing! Japanese curry was also delicious. I’ll be coming back “

“The Smoked Pork Ramen was one of the best ramen I have ever had. The soup was strong in umami and smokiness and that alone made it a stand out dish. The spicy ramen was a manageable level of spicy but covered the taste of everything else. It’s so good I forgive David Chang for sending lawyer letters to the AAIP chilli crisp makers.“

“3.8/5 stars My first time visited Kame on Saturday it was a bit busy so we had to wait in the line but only for 10-15 mins. I had Spicy Tonkotsu ramen(19$) the braised pork belly was super soft but the broth is just ok in my opinion the black garlic oil is too strong that I couldn't even drink the soup but I did like the noodles tho. I added onsen egg for (2$) and it was just ok to me because I think marinated boiled eggs would be better with the ramen. Noodles 3.7/5 Pork belly 4.5/5 Creamy broth 2.8/5 Onsen egg 3/5 Drink Plum lemonade 4.5/5 The food was good but this is just my personal taste buds. If I'm in the area I might come back but I wouldn't go out just to go there. P.S The ramen came with 2pcs of chashu but I ordered extra that's why it looks like it's a lot in my bowl“

“Ippudo was recommended to me by a friend who lived in NYC. Having been to Ichiran, I was interested to know which spot offered the better ramen. The restaurant was more inviting than Ichiran and had a bar at the entrance. This was nice to have while we waited. The waitress was also great. In terms of the ramen, it lived up to the hype and delivered, though in my opinion, was not as great as Ichiran. This spot is still 100% worth going to, you will get a great bowl of ramen here!“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

Overall, it was a 5-star experience that I can't wait to repeat.“

“Nice calm place in West Village without all the pretentiousness. Although located sub level the place is spacious and well aired, in fact much better than many joints in Manhattan. The ramen was excellent, real tokyo style. Price was fair considering the big portions.Wheelchair accessibility: Not possible. Only stairs.“

“Mmm, so good. We were staying at the nearby Park Central Hotel and looking for a decent restaurant within a quick walk. This one cropped up with good reviews, so we figured we'd try it. Best meal of our week-long NYC trip! I got the Curry Ramen, which was fantastic, with perfectly crispy pork katsu and nicely springy ramen noodles. My wife and daughter also enjoyed their selections. I think one was the Kin Ramen (which I also got to finish, since it was too big for my daughter -- the chashu pork was excellent! The place has a hip and cozy atmosphere. Service is friendly and quick. An excellent place to satisfy your ramen craving!“

“The staff was friendly and it was nice to be able to taste the same Ichiran ramen I had in Osaka. If you set the spiciness level to level 8, it's about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, but eating bone broth with spicy seasoning and rice felt like eating sundae soup haha. It's expensive, but it's worth a visit at least once during your trip.“

“My favorite ramen joint in New York! Go here on a jazz night if you can, because the ambience with the artists is even more incredible. This is my 3rd time here, and while everything is great, I’d specifically recommend: spicy ramen, spicy tsukemen, oysters mp, and mango kakigori. Between the freshly made noodles and flavorful broths, all of the noodle dishes are the perfect cozy meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters, which came with a yuzu mint vinaigrette that added a bright vibrancy to each oyster. Don’t shy away from getting dessert the end! The shaved ice is a great way to end on a refreshing note without feeling bogged down by sugar. Note that this place fills up quick, so reserve in advance or come early to beat the wait. “Overall liked the drinks and the food, but felt something was missing. Favorites were the deviled eggs and the salmon uni soup less ramen. The egg sando was quite good as well. I felt like the Sapporo ramen was very salty and the miso glazed eggplant a little strange for what it is with pomegranate seeds. I tried the pineapple passionfruit and yuzu sansho drinks. Decent experience, but we were told we only had 20 minutes even though half the restaurant looked empty by the time we left. We weren’t offered a dessert menu or anything, so experience probably could’ve been better.“

“Wow! The Tsukemen here is amazing! Definitely a Star ⭐️. If you like a fish based broth then this place is for you. You must order using phone to scan the QR code. And you must pay the bill that way. Slightly complicated if you’re a party of 2 or more. Bar/Counter seating only. Very tight and narrow space, which makes getting to the restroom difficult. Food is worth all the hassle. Reasonably priced. Electronic payment is mandatory. We will definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Something for all dietary needsParking: Street parking fills up quicklyKid-friendliness: Not really for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Not“

“Giving it a 4 stars because the effort and intent was there, but the Miso ramen was unfortunately too rich for my tastes and I couldn't finish the broth, although the wavy noodles were perfect, very Q. The Karaage was some of the best I've ever had - it came out quickly and straight out of the fryer and it was melting in my mouth. One waitress was working the whole restaurant and was doing a fantastic job. 5 star service for sure.“

“This place is extremely small, but we were able to get a last minute reservation for an early dinner this Saturday. It exceeded my husband and my expectations. Everyone raved about the scotch egg, but it was probably our least favorite (still delicious) out of everything we ordered. We ordered the kalbi Mandu, scotch egg, tteokbokki, salmon jang, and the japaguri. Overall, our favorites were the tteokboki and the japaguri, but everything was delicious! We also tried a trio of kimchi, with the seasonal being Asian pear — so impressive and refreshing. Modern takes on Korean dishes that were texturally interesting and extremely flavorful. The portions were larger than expected as well for the price. Wonderful dining experience, and we will definitely come back.“

“Pretty good! Ordered delivery - the mackerel rice bowl and shoyu chicken ramen. The food did not arrive at all hot, but it could have been on the delivery person making too many stops. The ramen broth had great flavor without being too salty, and the noodles had a really good texture. The toppings were lackluster. The mackerel itself again was awesome, but the bowl just came with some plain rice and a somewhat sad salad. The bowl overall could have used more flavor.“

“We eard great things about this fusion noodle and dumpling restaurant. The space is new. It's smallish, clean and comfortable. It was really busy but the tables turned over quickly. To my surprise, they take reservations. There's a garden in the back that looks promising but was too cold to dine in when we went. The restaurant staff were totally overwhelmed by the volume of dine in and take out orders. Our waitress was nice, but we didn't spend a lot of time talking with her. The service was a bit slow, but this offset what would have otherwise been a fast paced meal. They have a large sake and beer selection. I went for a bottle of Peroni beer just because they had it. We shared an order of steamed chicken dumplings to start. They were good, but could have been hotter and there were bone fragments in a couple of them. My wife loved her Yu Xiang Chicken Banmen. She was only able to finish half of it. I had no such problem with the Tonkatsu Chasu Pork Ramen. The broth was excellent and it was fun to try the Japanese version of char siu. The house noodles were good and were surprisingly spaghetti- like. Very good meal in a nice space. Not a place where you can have a leisurely meal. Wonder if they are less overwhelmed during the week.“

“Tiny cozy place for ramen. Had full ramen bar and maybe 4-5 tables. They serve asahi on tap and offer chu-hi. Ramen broth was mostly chicken based but had a high content of garlicky and salt flavor. You can choose thin or wavy noodles. I would say save yourself from gyoza. I found them crispy but lacking flavor and juiciness when you take that first bite. Over all satisfying and around 20 bucks a bowl.“

I had “the smoke”.Also tried the shrimp bun , soooo soft it almost melted in my mouth ! Food was AMAZING! I would visit again!“

“Absolutely wonderful bowl of ramen. I had the New Tokyo ramen and the broth was perfectly layered with flavor. It's not as clean as something like Tsutas, but very enjoyable in its own way. The only thing I can knock is the chicken, which was a tad dry.“

“Located right in the center of busy Austin Street, this gem was a great choice for delicious and filling ramen at very affordable prices. Before you enter, you'll find yourself staring at the wooden, cozy storefront that screams "comfort food". To start off, we had the kara-age and takoyaki which were good with a drizzle of lemon. However, the main star was my kara miso ramen with pork, which had a hearty miso soup base with a dab of spice sauce. There are also non-pork options such as the seafood yaki bowl, which my friend had. Despite the full house on a friday evening, the service was great and very attentive. We left with a full stomach and a warm soul. Highly recommend :)“

“Went during a quieter Saturday when about 50-60% of the tables were full. Tonkatsu taken broth was rich and creamy, noodles were chewy, and the salmon ikura bowl was refreshing.Easy service, clean bathroom, simple and well put together dining area.Only note is that ramen's noodle to broth ratio could use more broth.“

“I hadn't been back to this location since I moved here over a decade ago, and kind of mad that I'd forgot about it! Just liquid gold in a bowl. I had the regular pork tonkatsu and appreciated the actual serving of extra garlic (so many places short you on this!) my order was ready within 5 minutes of ordering on the walk over, super friendly workers in the front. I'll have to revisit their east side location but really I think the tonkatsu is better here.“

“We’ve had our fair share of instant noodles growing up, so it’s so cool to see our memories of instant noodles culminating in an Instant Noodle Factory. This spot elevates ordinary noodles into a novel experience that's not limited to just college dorm rooms and late night eats. Instant noodles are so convenient for a quick lunch or as a snack, and it’s so easy to prepare by simply adding boiling water. It’s pretty awesome to see how a meal like this has been turned into such a fun concept in LIC. I love the wall of ramen showcasing all the different types of ramen right when you walk in. They even have the spice level of each noodle displayed. My friends and I ordered the beef birria, mala madness, champong, and duck duck noods, which are mostly combinations of classic instant noodles. With each noodle dish, you have the option to add extra toppings and sides on - we opted for toppings such as corn, fried fishballs, shrimp shumai, scallions, shrimp, and fried fish cakes. Ben, of course, got the beef birria noodle soup, which comes with tender marinated beef, corn, and jalapeños. The duck duck noods come with a pulled duck leg, scallions, and a soft-boiled egg. The mala madness is a combination of Buldak Fire noodles and mala spice. Our cousin loves spice, so he handled it really well - he could've upgraded to the Buldak 2x spicy. I got champong, a spicy seafood noodle soup, and added corn, shrimp, and fried fish cakes with edamame. Don't forget a drink to wash the noodles down! I really liked the iced lychee yakult tea and peach iced tea.“

“Blown away like a torpedo out of the water ? ?Michelin star quality BROTH with beef bone marrow. ??Ramen was good but the broth, oh the broth, no words …. I grew up here and ate pretty much at all the Asian hot spots from Mott St to cheap eats on Christie St. I wouldn’t have to pay more than $3.50 - $12 for a bowl of noodles. So $21 for this beef bone marrow ramen aka GYUKOTSU is damn excessive but rightly justified. I waited 15 minutes and well worth it ??I can devour this for lunch 7 days straight ?First time here and I sat at the beer garden mistakenly. A more chill & laid back Japan setting is a quick walk up the steps.2 establishments sharing 2 types of cuisine ✅✅“

“I had the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu and I completely enjoyed it, it was rich and gelatinous but not oily. The pork bun and thai iced tea was ok. After the first spoonful I didn't like the matcha pudding, the mild bitter taste really hits hard after finishing the iced tea, but sometime between the second and third spoonful the bitterness mellowed out and was enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend the matcha pudding. Service was prompt, and used dishes were removed quickly.“

“- we tried 5 different kinds of sushi rolls: salmon avocado and the california rolls were good, the eel avocado roll is a bit too heavy in my opinion (the sauce is really sweet), the premium black eel was average (and not worth the price) and the black spicy tuna roll was not our cup of tea at all.- I expect much more from a sushi place with 4.8 out of 5. It was ok overall, but nothing to remember+ the food came very fast, the staff is friendly+ they serve tap water“
