“We came by (and had always wanted to since before they opened) for our wedding anniversary. We were a party of four (my husband, our son, daughter, and I), we were promptly seated in the back (they asked where we wanted to sit). Our waiter was very courteous and friendly. Our son ordered pork buns and scallion pancakes; they were very filling for him, and he enjoyed them very much. Our daughter got a bowl of chicken shoyu ramen, unfortunately it was too much for her - she enjoyed her noodle soup very much. Husband ordered pork gyoza and chicken yaki ramen, he was very delighted and it tasted great. I went with tonkotsu ramen. All the dishes were well portioned (for their price). Very clean establishment. Also liked the idea that thier sink is outside of the restroom, it is quite brilliant! We also liked thier curtain that were separating the dining area to the restroom. They were rabbit themed, including a mochi making rabbit in the moon. We anticipate our return!“

“The food here is absolutely fantastic. The uni series is a must-order, and the washu katsu omurice completely blew me away — easily one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. The green tea cheesecake is delicious too. The staff are all lovely, and you can see why this place stays so busy. We’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait for their winter special. “If you love ramen this is the place for you.
The ramen here is delicious, rich , full of flavor and best part it taste homemade! The Korean fried chicken is definitely a must try and it has a great amount of heat to it both are 10/10 for sure.

The owner and servers are very nice, welcoming and helpful. If you’re unsure about what to order or need help ordering they’re happy to explain the menu and help you choose.

“Definitely one of the best ramen broths I’ve had, and I try a lot. The broth is clean with crisp flavors. I ordered the Kara (which is the spicy) on the side. I decided to control the spice level on my own, the kick is good, but I didn’t want too much of it.

The grilled pork belly is a good side to add.

“Today I visited Kohoku Ku Ramen and ordered takoyaki and EBI ramen.
The food was really delicious. The takoyaki was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a rich and flavorful sauce. The EBI ramen had a strong shrimp aroma, and the broth was rich and tasty.
I wasn’t feeling well today and had a stuffy nose, but the hot soup with a slightly spicy kick really helped clear my head. It felt so comforting and refreshing.
Overall, a great experience—definitely a place I would come back to!“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“My husband loves the spicy miso ramen here as well as the sesame mochi ice cream. I just ordered Gyudon today and added an extra egg. A very simple dish and tastes so good! Flavorful but not crazy salty! The beef was tender and the rice is of good quality!

We also had the black sesame cheesecake and some matcha pudding! Desserts are good and not sweet which I love!“

“I got the tonkatsu tsukemen and it was so good. The porky broth was perfect balance of garlic. It also came with bean sprouts, and egg, and 5 slices of pork. Great value. Also got the fried chicken and it was so soft and crispy with not a lot of batter. Service is great and everyone really cares here“

“when i went in march 2026, ippudo v was still fully vegan, so this review is based entirely on that experience. i genuinely thought i didn’t like ramen until i came here lol. everything was SURRREAL. we got the gyoza, the pla-ton tonkotsu and the daichi no miso, and every single thing was insanely good. the ramen was so rich and flavorful, and the space was super cozy too. sadly, i recently found out they’re no longer fully vegan and honestly i’m so disappointed /: hopefully this new “flexibility” doesn’t affect the quality of their vegan food, because what i had was 10/10 Updated from previous review on 2026-08-15“

The fish was incredibly fresh and the rice perfectly seasoned.

Might be the best spot in the Hudson yard area, and the locals seem to know it based on the take out order rate. Everything was delicious and efficient. Can’t wait to come back.“

“So I used to work in a ramen shop a while back and have tried several of the popular and some now closed ramen shops in NYC (like Ippudo, Ivan, Totto, Andante, Minca, Ichiran). However, Karazishi Botan is top-tier, if not the best ramen in NYC. This local gem always hits, be it unique takes on Tonkotsu, Tsukemen, or Tokyo-style Shoyu. Broth, noodles, and toppings all executed excellently and with great attention to detail. Their giant karaage and yuzu asahi draft also worth mentioning! They even gave my wife and I a rose when we stopped in on Valentine’s Day. Usually like to gate keep places like these but highly recommend visiting !“
