“Perfect place for a top notch meal! Wonderful service too! Our waiter was very informative and taught us about the various items on the menu we had questions about. Highlights were duck, Peking style, mushroom dumplings, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and the rabbit coconut pudding. Note: no rabbits were harmed in the making of the dessert!“

“Got the brand sampler. A meal for $19.60.
Here’s what I thought of each item
Har gow / shrimp siu mai - 3/5, hard to get wrong, just didn’t love it, even with the soy sauce.
Chicken siu mai - 5/5, was my favorite
Sticky rice wrap - 1/5, mushroom and sticky rice was not my favorite
BBQ pork bun - 1/5, wasn’t my thing
Crispy shrimp roll - 4/5, pretty good“

“While in Chinatown, we found this small, charming restaurant with excellent ratings, so we decided to give it a try. The place was packed, and although we wanted a booth, we couldn’t sit there since we were only two people. The service wasn’t the friendliest, possibly due to a language barrier, but the food made up for it.
I’m not usually a fan of Chinese food, but my boyfriend is, and I’m glad we stayed—the food was delicious! The menu had photos and numbered items, making it easy to order. I’ve included photos of what we tried. Highly recommended if you’re in Chinatown!“

“Long line because we are all basic tourists 😅 Left line cash only and right line you order on tablet and pay with card. You are welcome! The baked pork bun and pineapple pork buns were delicious. Sweet and salty soft and crunchy simultaneously. Your mouth will be pleasantly confused. Must try!“

“Absolutely my favorite restaurant now! Hubby and I have been three times and each time has been amazing! The decor and artwork inside is beautiful and the food is incredibly delicious! Definitely try the "Kung Pao Shrimp" - your taste buds will go wild! and the "Crispy Skin Chicken"...oh my God, the best! Also try their cocktail called "West Lake Potion" - totally different than any other cocktail with an interestingly good taste ??. On our last visit, we were served complimentary dishes: Vegetable Spring Rolls and I believe some type of Zucchini with a mouth-watering glaze! Our waitress Estefanie (sorry if I misspelled) has been our waitress each time and she's super nice along with all the other staff. Bathrooms are clean and each stall has its own private door with a sink inside. Surprisingly, we never had a problem finding parking. Five stars all the way!“

“Do not sleep on this gem!!!! I wanted to try a local spot while on vacation in NY, and I am so glad I stumbled across this location. The service and staff are amazing, the food is delicious. I loved the small details like the design on the napkin, and I didn't have to wait to be seated. I wish I could have brought the jasmine tea back to my hotel. I will be coming back to this location on my next visit to NY!“

“I apologize in advance as my photo doesn’t do the restaurant justice…but I scarfed down half the meal before realizing that the food was so delicious I should leave a five star Google review.
I’ve come a few times and the service is friendly, attentive, and fast. There are also always customers speaking Chinese which, if you don’t know, means it’s a good Chinese restaurant because actual Chinese people eat there.
Pork soup dumplings and the spicy fish hot pot are a must. A really generous portion of pork and fish in each.“

“an absolute must-visit! The shrimp dish is delicate and flavorful, the pork buns are perfectly soft and sweet, and every dish is crafted to perfection. The steamed spareribs are tender and savory, and the salted egg yolk buns are rich and delightful.
Their tea selection is impressive, especially the jasmine tea, which is fragrant and pairs beautifully with the dim sum. The restaurant has a clean and elegant atmosphere, and the staff are warm, attentive, and detail-oriented.
Whether for family gatherings, dining with friends, or enjoying a solo treat, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended to all dim sum lovers!“

“The food at Fan Szechuan reminds us so much of home-cooked food—warm and flavorful! We really enjoyed trying the Peking duck, sesame noodles, and spicy wontons. There were so many different appetizer options, including spicy and nonspicy choices. The atmosphere was also inviting and cozy, with tasteful decor and a welcoming vibe. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great dining experience. Whether you are craving something rich and hearty or light and savory, there is something for everyone. Fan Szechuan is the perfect spot for comforting and satisfying meals!!

“The dumplings are as good here as China Town. Bring 3-4 people and eat them all! I say at the bar and had Soup Dumplings, Shumai and Steamed Rice Roll with BBQ Pork… it’s like a Pork Bun without the Calories! Afternoon Happy Hour large Saki 1/2 price!!! If you’re in Gramacy, you don’t need to take the trip to China Town for excellent Dim Sum. Additionally, they have a Japanese Hibachi Table upstairs.“

“A little gem of a place smack down close to midtown: affordable, delicious, good portion sizes, and great ambience. The waiters are attentive and there’s a good buzz around the restaurant.
I ordered the seafood Lo Mein, the portion size was just right with a good amount of seafood and great wok-hei.“
“I can say that is alternative to Golden Unicorn, just down the same street end of the block. Food is really good and could be better, and service is at best in a very busy place. The Price is very reasonable and overall it’s good x2. Will come again with pics to prove.“

“Din Tai Fung has been a long-time favorite of mine, and I’ve visited their locations across Asia more times than I can count. So, I was really looking forward to the opening of this NYC location. It took some time, but as soon as I walked in, I could see why. This isn’t like the more casual branches I’m used to – they’ve gone all out, creating a stunning space that’s perfect for a special night out. Though it’s a large venue, it feels intimate, and the table arrangement makes conversations easy. Service was excellent; our waiter was excited to introduce us to the restaurant and stayed attentive throughout the meal.
Now, the food! We tried two varieties of their signature xiaolongbao – the traditional pork and the pork and crab. Both were superb and just as good as what you’d find in Asia. The paper-thin wrappers are some of the best I’ve had outside of the Pacific, with great flavor and delicious soup inside. The pork chop fried rice was also outstanding – tender, juicy pork served over perfectly cooked fried rice. We also enjoyed the seaweed and tofu salad, which was a great starter. I did miss the wild vegetable tofu and sesame oil salad I’ve had in Asia, but I imagine it might be due to ingredient availability here. Prices are a bit higher than their Asian branches, but for me, the atmosphere and quality were worth it. I’ll definitely be back.
Note: Unlike other locations, this one is reservation-only.“

“Haven't been to a Tim O Wan since HK and while this was not as good it's still very solid dim sum.
Small menu (even a little smaller than I remember the HK counterparts to be), efficient service and worth the price of admission.
Shrimp rice roll was amazing, the fried bean curd with shrimp was far too salty and we wouldn't get that one again. The shrimp dumplings were delicious but we really loved the vegetable dumplings and that was our favorite.
Finished off our meal with the coconut taro dessert which was a nice way to end things off.“

“One of my favorite Szechuan spots in NYC. They are probably the best in LIC as mentioned in their name.
Only miss I’ve had here is the mapo tofu. Too much oil and had no meat.
But I would recommend the green beans, cumin lamb, dry pot. All delicious.“

“I came here with a foodie friend for dinner. We both really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant definitely took me back to Hong Kong - like I was in a new concept restaurant in the famous area of LKF.
Highlights / Our favorite dishes:
- Black Pepper Steak: the sauce was delicious and it came with broccoli rabe, which is a surprising and enjoyable twist (instead of Chinese broccoli). Love that.
- Crunchy Vegetable Fried rice: yes it stayed crispy and crunchy throughout our entire meal and with all our talking. The fried rice was flavorful and not oily. This is the best vegetarian fried rice I've had in NYC.
- H French Toast: This was a perfect dessert ending to our meal. Good for sharing. It is slightly different from traditional Hong Kong french toast which is completely deep fried. This one from Cha Cha Tang is fried crispy on the outside, therefore not as heavy (thankfully since we ate so much for dinner). And I love the ube cream inside!!
Highly recommend!!“

“Attended the restuarant in a party of 2, and shared all the food. We ordered the Steamed Shrimp Dumpling, the Fried Pork Dumpling, and also the Spicy Chicken Fried Rice; each was a 10/10.
If your looking for recommendations regarding what to order from this spot, then try these dishes!
The wait for the fried rice was a little long, but it was a great meal so I can't complain too much about that.“

“Food was good. Sweet and sour chicken: chicken was cooked well and seemed like better quality than other places. Sauce flavor was not amazing. Everything else was pretty good and authentic Hong Kong dim sum. Staff look professional and you can tell they work hard. I have to be back on the weekend to try the baked pork buns! “

“Admissions first, I am a sucker for a good noodle bowl, and this one delivers. Got the beef noodle soup, and the meat was exceptional tender, broth salted just enough and the noodles while a little thin had a slight chew.
Filled me up and would absolutely get it again.“
