“I went to Rome in October 2023 and I wasn't able to eat the famous Italian panino, as the queue was huge and I didn't have much time. But I took advantage and when I was in NYC 2024 I went to the Times Square store and ate The Odd Couple, wonderful!!!!“

“We stopped in before our NYU tour and were greeted & seated right away! The menu includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more! My daughter is a vegetarian and appreciated the vegetarian suggestions on the menu. The food came out quickly and was both fresh and delicious! We would come here again!“

“The sandwiches are ginormous! The cold cuts and cheeses are sliced fresh for each sandwich. Sure they cost ~$20 but they are a foot long and really dense jam packed with filling and assuredly tasty always. They are really two sandwiches in one, (or even 3 if you have a small appetite), so it's great value. My favorite, the broccoli rabe is really something special. A perfect mix of oily garlicky, vaguely bitter and satisfyingly spicy. It really heightens the chicken cutlet fresh mozzarella broccoli rabe sandwich. Three layers of cutlets in this sandwich to boot! There is a reason this Italian specialty store has been open since 1900. You simply cannot go wrong with old school quality. Note to bring cash for payment.“

“My two nieces and I popped in this morning on our way to the Natural History Museum. I’ll admit I was hesitant but thankfully I listened to my nieces! I had the avocado and eggs in a crepe, which was the best gluten-free sandwich I have ever had. Did not miss the bread at all. My 14 year old chose the Nutella crepe with banana and the 9 ounce Açaí bowl. Oldest selected one of the big bowls … it was a work of art. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip. All the best on your growth plans!“

“If we could give more than 5 stars we would! The man was super good at what he does and you can tell. Although he had limited options when we were there, he still made sure we were able to get something close to what we originally wanted. All the sandwiches were really good, flavorful, and had lots of meat. Two thumbs up and 5 stars!“

“- If your looking for one of the best burgers you ever had, or just something to stand out from the onslaught of restaurants in Times Square area, Dark Side Of The Moon is the place to visit. Not only is it one the best names in restaurant history, it is one of the best burgers I've had nationwide. What really stood out was their choice of exotic meats. You can choose from alligator sausage, kangaroo, bison, elk, camel and yak burgers and they even have wild boar tacos. The yak burger stood up to their claim that it is the best meat they offer. Never have I had such a flavorful burger. Who knew yak would be so delicious. The owner was not only the host but also the server and worked hard to make the experience memorable. It's always a pleasure to see an owner who cares enough to work the trenches to assure his diners leave happy and satisfied. Will definitely return as there is a plethora of menu options still to try. If you have a chance to stop by and try their burgers I suggest you do just that.“

“Good place for brunch with the friends! My friend made a reservation for the 4 of us a week before and thankfully we did - it's a relatively small restaurant with limited seating. I got the Turkish eggs and it was good, although I would recommend ordering a bit more if you're coming for lunch.“

“Easily one of the best sandwich shops in JC. I've been through almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My go to these days is the #5, breaded chicken lettuce tomato hot peppers and Chipotle mayo. Can't go wrong with the chicken vodka Parmigiano, one of the best vodka sauces I've ever had!“

“Delicious Rouben sandwich - great proportions of pastrami and sauerkraut. The bread is not an ordinary slice of white bread, but a deliciously toasted and slightly fatty slice. In my and my wife's opinion, one of the best Rouben sandwiches in NY. We will definitely come back at the next opportunity - hopefully as soon as possible.“

“I'm from Philly, and I finally found a Hoboken sandwich shop that measures up- heard the good reviews of this place and they are true!! No menu & the crowd of people seemed intimidating, but the workers are all very nice and tell you the days specials, or offer suggestions on what to put on your sandwich. I got a chicken cutlet, mozz, basalmic and roasted red peppers and I definitely will be back here to try more! Only wish I got the full size instead of half so I could have left overs“

“I was casually walking down rainbow road when Mario, Donkey Kong and Shy guy grabbed me and brought me to this Subway. A guy whose name I think was maneater told me I had to eat 100 cookies or else Donkey Kong would turn me into a banana. I said ok and began this grueling challenge. I started chowing down on the cookies and when I reached the halfway point Machoman told me that the rest of the cookies would be footlong cookies, I said "radical" and continued. I was enjoying the last two cookies when all of a sudden Rick Grimes and superman walked in and blew up Donkey Kong, Mario and Shy guy and told me the walkers were coming and I had to leave. I said goodbye to Magic Mixing Machine and he said that wherever I go I could just reach into my pocket and pull out a free footlong cookie.10/10 would recommend, if you survive the walkers roaming around.“

“I've been coming here for many yrs, I'm a semi regular and it's always a pleasure coming in. From Felicia being amazing and always having a positive attitude to my service and food always being great, this is def the best Subway I've been to, especially after the renovations. The woman with the braided bun was the star of the show today for making an early release of the footlong sidekicks to me (thanks to management too) I got the churro and cookie one and it's so good, def recommend trying.“

“Great service from a friendly crew. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Menu is a bit weird but seems to be highly customiziable, probably a good place to order online so you can see all the options available. Not a ton of seating indoors (2 seats) but there's a few tables outside.“

“The vegetarian options are incredible!! So filling and definitely worth it for the price. Also the little boxes that they come in are unreal cute, I get too excited to pop them open. The Gobbler (pictured) is my fav!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are just as creative and delicious as the meat options. It’s clear that the vegetarian/vegan sandwiches are not an afterthought for this place, they are a prioritized part of the menu!!! (The Gobbler is my fav- it’s thanksgiving in a sandwich!)Dietary restrictions: Vegan options are delicious, vegetarian sandwiches easily made vegan by subbing cheese and eliminating mayo!!“

“They run this ship tighter than the navy. I recommend ordering online and picking up — even with the swarm of Business Bros I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes, if at all. “If you're a sandwich lover like I am, you're in for some solid sammies at this spot. High quality ingredients, healthy, and super satisfying meals. Their sides are really great, too. “Heard about this place online and wanted to try it. Price wise, its around the same price as the other food in the area. The paninis were okay. Honestly, if I gave you a panini from a local popular corner deli and this place, this place would be slightly better. Give this place a shot and you can decide for yourself. I had the Cubano and it was okay.“

“It was such a refreshing change of pace to break away from the familiar chain restaurants that we can find anywhere and instead, experience what the locals do. Every morning, we made it a point to visit this charming spot for breakfast. The atmosphere was so cool and the food was simply delicious. “Deliriously delicious shop in the East Village! The sandwich rolls were the best I've tasted in NYC and perfectly toasted. My love and I enjoyed The Hog, a vermicelli and meat salad with the best fish sauce, and a lamb taco. I especially was impressed with the cleanliness and food handling. Go to "about us" to read the interesting story of the two friends/owners who we were so fortunate too meet at Wheelers in Sheepshead Bay.“

“I work in CT but placed an order on the phone with them (turned out to be DoorDash). When I called to confirm the lunch order, they didn't have any record of it. But Alexis (Asst GM) assured me that my executive and his team would get their lunch today. She researched my order and had me send all the details I could provide, took my phone number, and called me back several times to ensure we were all set. This was not a huge catering order, but she treated me with the same courtesy as if it were. I want to thank her for all of her assistance. I'm sure the team will enjoy their lunch!!!“

“Hey I live in McGinley Square, in Jersey City and the local Subway sandwich shop is just a block away, but Super Hero Sub Shop blows Subway out of the water! The bread is always soft, fresh, tasty and their meats are NOT processed, but cooked/roasted whole and you taste the seasonings in the meat beautifully! I just got a Medium size hot roast beef, with Muenster cheese, onions and mayo and it is DELICIOUS. I wish they stayed open past 4pm but they truly are a lunchtime treat! Highly recommend!“

“Wow. Really pleased with this. Split a chicken parmigiana hero. Delicious. Absolutely must split with someone or be really hungry. Excellent quality chicken, great tasting sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. I wish the bread was a tad better (got whole wheat), but was definitely fresh - just didn’t live up to rest of sandwich. Will try the other bread the next time. Go hungry and enjoy. “Simply the best Italian deli in Manhattan. I've had them all and Cappone's is top IMO. I've been there 4-5 times in the last month and they're consistent. Bread is always fresh, specials are creative and they use real authentic Italian ingredients that can't be found elsewhere. The bread is oustanding. “This location has limited seating but is clearly a crowd favorite. I stopped by because I love pastrami and the reviews said so did Anthony Bordain. The pastrami sandwiches are approx. $24 but to be fair they are massive. I went for the half sandwich and half matze ball soup, which I poured into a bowl since I ordered takeout. Excellent soup, came with one large matzo ball. I particularly enjoyed the half loaf of rye bread which I proceeded to dip in the soup and the mustard packets. Not a fan of pickles but the lady in front of me ordered 6 extra ones so I am sure they're excellent. Overall, the sandwich was tasty and the meat was plentiful. It only took a few minutes waiting. I don't know that I would order their knishes or some of their other items not because they don't look good but because they pricey even for the neighborhood! $9 for a knish is outrageous. But if you're looking for a real NYC experience it's worth the wait for a table.“

“Very cool, eclectic Italian sandwich shop. First, it's tiny but cozy and creatively decorated.... Two tables inside and one outside... I ordered a Italian tuna with arugula, peppers. I asked to remove the chili paste and balsamic (dietary reasons)... That probably pulled a lot of taste away but it was a solid sandwich... Staff was great and seemed to be attentive to the customers... Price wise the sandwich was $18 and the burrata upgrade was $4.. $2 for a water... 2.5% service fee (no clue what / that is).... So $24.60 for a sandwich before tip and tax... I would like to try their meat based sandwiches, mine was good but eve with the chili paste and balsamic, not sure if it would justify the price...“

“Such a cute atmosphere inside, with well-priced and well-portioned sandwiches. We got the chicken parm (bread was phenomenal, chicken delicious and not too oily, great proportion of cheese/sauce as well) and the Ricky which was unlike any other broccoli rabe sandwich I’ve had before (a huge pile of broccoli rabe cooked in a pan with the sausage, really soft semolina bread). The quality of ingredients is amazing, but the folks at Lil Frankie’s Grocery were the best. The chef checked in on us through the window while we were sitting outside and even gave us sodas, which made our day! John was also so hospitable and friendly, we loved chatting with him. Will definitely be back again to try every sandwich on the menu, and will need to come grab a late night grandma slice at some point!“
