“I had an incredible dining experience at Kimika! The Japanese-Italian fusion dishes were bursting with umami in every bite. We enjoyed the uni toast, Hamachi collar, Uni pasta, scallops, arancini, and the matcha mochi French toast—everything was perfect! The staff were friendly and polite, which made the experience even better. I can’t wait to come back!“

“Rounding up a 4.5 to a 5.0. Friendly service with a very interesting menu to explore, definitely will be back when in the Theater District again.
Steamed dumplings were great but the crispy spring rolls were very overcooked, overfried.
Shared the crab fried rice with two sauces and the drunken noodles, both super tasty with just the right amount of heat.“

“This is a 2nd floor Japanese-Thai speakeasy in Alphabet City where the food menu leans toward Japan while the drinks are Thai-inspired with the menu designed by veteran NYC bartender and Phetchaboon native Sayparn. Her and her partners opened 11 Tigers in 2022 (year of the tiger which symbolizes success). The staff do an excellent job of mixing food and entertainment.“

“The food here was excellent. I got the Pad Thai and it was one of the best I've ever had. Their appetizers are all very good. I'd highly recommend going here on a date or family dinner. Menu is a little pricy but worth it.“

“Let me start off by saying, if you want to complain about prices, don't even walk in the door. To get the optimal experience at any restaurant, you have to pay to play. So expect to spend about $70-100 per person here, this is a spot you take someone on a knock-it-out-of-the-park date or group gathering, you can't be a cheapskate. Now, to the food. Vietnamese BBQ is an intimate experience. Order the 7 course beef so you can try everything while the staff explains and helps you cook your meat. The electric grills are of the highest quality, the same ones they use at high-end Japanese yakiniku places, so the smoky taste on your cooked beef will be perfect. If you want to order a la carte, I highly recommend the Tomahawk, Madame Prawns and Charred Uni. Like I said, this is a place where you share your meal with friends and family so all the food is portioned that way.“

“Incredible addition to Tribeca. We came after seeing all the videos about the dessert bar. It looks like kobe beef, but it tastes like chocolate mouse with a creamy and crunchy texture. It was very good, cut table side. loved it. Huge wine list with great selections from all over the world. I'm brining my besties here for a show in a few weeks. Can't wait!“

“Got the Beef Noodle Soup, medium spicy, with fish ball toppings. The meat was perfectly tender, very easy to chew and the soup was also the right heat level, medium was perfect if you enjoy eating ramen. The vibes were great, very open area and lots of space. 10/10 would eat here again!“

“Came for dinner with a group of Chinese friends. Food is good but not what I would called Sichuan. I can recommend the Sautéed pea shoots, Peking duck w soup, Cucumber salad and the Mapo tofu. I CANNOT recommend the grilled fish, it was terrible.
The decor is honestly bizarre, as my friend put it, a mahjong factory. Service was ok, but dishes were slow to be served.“

“Stumbled upon this gem after visiting the MET. We got the chive pancake, dumplings, pad kee mao, and thai fried rice with mock duck. Everything was excellent. They have someone that knows techniques of thai cooking in the back very well.
Portions were notably big as well. We were stuffed and satisfied. Notably the mock duck in the fried rice was excellent and this ended up being my favorite dish. However everything was tasty.
They have an array of boba as well that all look very tasty. These types of fast-casual restaurants end up being my favorite! Family owned and great service. <3“

“Very happy to have a quick counter service Asian bowl spot come to 9th Ave. Great quality , especially for the cost. Noticed they opened recently and tried for the first time tonight. Loved the spicy chili chicken bowl. Added on the shumai too just because it seemed like such a good price for the amount of food. Will be back“

“Truly my favorite place to eat. I live a block away so go there all the time on the weekend and for dinner, sometimes take the train from my office in midtown down to Chelsea for lunch. This is truly the only fast-casual place where I feel the food is of high quality - it is clear everything is not mass-produced. The brussel sprouts are hands down the best I have ever had and same with the sweet potatoes. To be honest - everything is absolutely delicious. What makes it so special is you can truly tell that care was put into making everything that is served. Even the way it is displayed shows the amount of effort that goes into the preparation. The food is not over-seasoned or trying too hard to do something different - it is simply cooked well and with good ingredients, mixing which for some reason seems to be rare these days. The steak is honestly as good as steak I have had at much fancier restaurants. This is what fast casual should be. I am the biggest fan. I highly recommend. You will be full after - but the good kind of full!“

“The place is heavenly. The decorations, statues, interior design, barista station, and the elegance of the mansion-like restaurant makes me want to return one of these days. I ordered a delicious bowl of Teriyaki Chicken, and my body felt healthy with the dose of sesame. I requested a complementary side of Teriyaki Sauce with that order. When I rechecked the menu, I missed a dish I overlooked. My gut then should have told me to get the Mongolian Beef, one of the most prized Chinese cuisines of all time. Even the waiter who professionally served me recommended it. Nonetheless, I want to invite my party of fabulously dressed friends here. We have been exploring many restaurants, and this one is very, very elegant. It is time to return one of these days for the Mongolian Beef.
Vegetarian options: One of the salads, Buddha’s Delight, is a dish I recommend. Highly nutritious and delicious. Many desserts, soups and salads have customizable ingredients vegans can see before placing an order.
Kid-friendliness: On my visit, there was a modest family, a single mother family, who happily visited the restaurant and dined there. So yes, it is family-friendly.“

“*Full disclosure, I do know the owner personally, but my opinion of the food etc is without bias.*
I had the pad thai with vegetables and spring rolls. The order was via delivery, so the spring rolls did lose a lot of the crunch, but still very much delicious.
The pad thai was excellent and portion size was great (if not a little too much, but just meant I had more for later)
I look forward to eating again from Plue, and highly recommend you try this quaint, authentic Thai food out.
Also, big should out to Pete and his husband!“

“This is my go to (and my son’s) all the time. My absolute favorite are the shrimp buns. My son gets the shrimp buns and the beef bulgogi is his main course. I sometime splurge and get the 3+2 garlic and soy sauce flavored wings and drumsticks. What I love is both freshness, taste and consistency. It’s a husband and wife small business so also love being able to help our local economy. It sure helps they’re so pleasant. Their prices and portions are above average compared to similar businesses. Definitely recommend. I wish they had longer hours!!!“

“Tuome is one of the best hidden gems in New York. I came here with my best friend, and I will be coming back again.
For appetizers, we ordered the SCALLOP [dumpling, squash, foie gras] for $28 and QUAIL [classic soy sauce, smoked potato, mizuna] for $24.
The scallop was an extremely creative take on traditional Siu Mai, where the scallop was integrated into the Siu Mai, with a fresh seafood flavour. The foie gras was cooked to perfection, and melted in my mouth.
But the real star of the show was the quail. I come from Guangzhou, where we take our roasted quail extremely seriously. And while this quail didn't seem to be roasted (maybe pressure cooked?), it was among the most tender quails I have ever eaten. You can pull apart the bird just through gentle tugs, which I have only ever been able to do at one other high-end restaurant in Guangzhou. The meat was also extremely juicy. The only place where it falls short compared to traditional roasted quail is the flavour is less marinated into the bird, and depends more on the sauce that was paired with it. Nevertheless, I'd put this on the same level as traditional roasted quail - something I never thought I'd say about a restaurant outside of Guangzhou.
The mains were also spectacular. We had a LAMB [black pepper, shishito, soubise] $48 and SNOW CRAB [noodle, squash, dashi butter] $43. The lamb was incredibly tender, and the paired sauce accentuated the meat perfectly. It was as tender as the lamb at the best french restaurants I've dined at. The snow crab was more of an alfredo pasta with bits of snow crab on top. The snow crab's flavour didn't really integrate into the pasta, but no matter. The pasta itself was creamy but light, and on par with most regular restaurants in Italy. That may seem like a complaint, but if you've ever been to Italy you know that is an incredibly high bar.
The only real complain I have about this restaurant is it is let down by its service. It took lots of waving my hand about and trying to catch a waiter's attention for our order to be taken, and overall, we thought that the dishes could've done with much more of an introduction. I think this is the only thing separating this restaurant from even greater heights. But other than that, I can confidently say this is the best restaurant at this price point that I've been to in North America.
I WILL come again.“

“Amazing new place in the East Village. We had the whole place to ourselves, ordered a ton of things to share, everything was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The extensive Jain menu is a game-changer for a garlic-/onion-phobe like me... This was the first time I've ever been able to have Massaman Curry ?“

“An expensive but very good choice for Chinese.Recommend the Peking duck and the Xiao Long Bao, the water spinach with preserves bean curb.Staff are friendly and helpful. However, unlike almost all Chinese restaurants I have experienced, they charge you for steamed rice. The prices they charge could easily cover some plain steamed rice. The Half Peking duck comes with 10 pieces of pancake. Be warned that if you need extra you better order at the same time as take about 15mins. Also the additional order is only 5 pieces for which they charge and is ridiculous they don’t inform you of this.Overall- great chive but you are nickel and dimed which is off-putting.“

“This place is WONDERFUL. I came here with my son after spending the afternoon at Urban Air Adventure Park. We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“
