“If you’re looking for fresh, authentic and delicious Greek food, this is it!! I was greeted by an attentive, friendly staff that provided exactly what we ordered. Everything was hot and packaged to perfection. The pork gyro was absolutely spectacular with the works: tender, flavorful meat, French fries, tzatziki, Tomatoes and onions on soft pita bread. You will not leave this place disappointed. Thank you Plaka Souvlaki!“

“This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.
Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.
Keep in mind they can get busy on the weekends and on holidays.“

“An absolutely wonderful evening of great food, super service and beautiful authentic ambience (nice background music and not too loud). We felt like family here, and it was only our first time! Where to begin??!! First off the food was delicious - started with well poured cocktails to accompany our Pikilia (we especially loved the spicy feta!), followed by the most scrumptiously seasoned lamb chops (Paidakia) EVER, and ended with heavenly home cooked Milfei Napoleon! (With a little extra to take home, FAB!). Our server Tony was great, yet meeting Yiannis and Lia, and taking their recommendations, put this evening over the top! We were so pleased with the evening that we left with hugs! This was certainly a memorable dinner out, and we will be back!!!“

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“

“My wife and I came here on a Saturday night around 9:30p after leaving another nearby bar that was just too loud for us (we're not the crazy club/loud bar party types). We met up with another couple we've known for a long time.
Death Ave was extremely accommodating to us. We were seated in a private booth with curtains, the service was fantastic, and both the drinks + desserts were phenomenal.
Bravo and well done -- we've also ordered on delivery from here before and it is excellent. We'll be back for sure!“

“Stopped in for drinks and an appetizer with my husband! Enjoyed the refreshing Captain Karpuzi which they use fresh watermelon in the drink! ?? Really cute atmosphere and friendly staff! We didn’t stay until happy hour but they showed us the menu and they have mini martini glasses and a special menu for happy hour too that looked fun!“

“I only ate one burger, but it was the best burger I've ever had. The only downside is that the top bun was fine, but the bottom bun was so wet that it was very difficult to hold by hand. If you go to Central Park, you must eat it. After eating, your hands will be covered in grease, so be sure to take something like wet wipes with you. I had a hard time without it.“

“I was walking by the stand when the amazing smell of the food made stop immediately. I went in and had the pork skewer dipped lemon sauce and it was AMAZING!!! Good amount of meat for the price and great service as well. Next time I come, I’ll take 5 of them and bring them home for dinner.“

“The first 2 dishes are in $30 Lunch Restaurant week deal. I think the portion is huge for the price, and the food tastes good. First dish is like a paste/rice kinda thing. It's well-cooked, not soggy at all. I did add more salt and lime juice for more flavor. The 2nd one is croquettes filled with 3 types of cheese. The souvlaki pita is standard. I don't like how I asked for to go box and they gave me a paper box for saucy food.“

“This place was fantastic! Over the years I've been here maybe 10 times. I never complain when my friends or family suggest this place to eat for dinner. The waitresses are always a pleasure to deal with. They assist me well when I ask for all my extras and meal modifications. The chef ?? in the back is on point. “I love Pi I enjoy getting my Greek frappe and other coffees from Pi. The pastries are exceptional and if you want to have lunch, you can also have fantastic Greek dishes. “Have ordered takeout from this place a few times, but finally got the chance to dine in. We had greek salad, hummus, lentil soup, and a yeero. All the portions were large and the food was delicious. I especially loved the hummus with warm pita. The dine in experience is very casual. Not a place I’d bring visitors to, but a casual spot to pop into on an evening stroll when hunger strikes.“
