“Five of us had a party on Saturday evening. The tavern was quite busy which reflected on service (our waiter wasn't present all the time). But I can understand that.
The space itself doesn't look like a typical Greek tavern, but high ceiling, good furniture and an appropriate lighting are definitely worth mentioning.
The food is good, but some portions are too small. For example, Greek salad is very tasty, but the portion is way too small. The same goes for grilled saganaki. In addition, our lamb chops were served well-done, although we asked for medium. On the other hand, our red snapper was great.
Restrooms are too small for a restaurant with this capacity.
The wine list should be MUCH better.
Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. And the prices are very reasonable to be honest.
However, if I compare the food and portions with some other Greek taverns in Astoria I have to admit there are better options.“

“Yo!!!! This place is so good. The host or maître D or whatever you wanna call him was like the most gracious person ever! Treated me and this hot girl that I’m currently seeing like we were family. Offered us some free Uzo drinks, which I’ve never had but now I’m throwing back like a bottle a week! Anyway, the food was off the hook. Please, please please don’t even get me started on the riblets!! I probably crushed like four orders spent my whole paycheck. Worth it!“

“Went on a Friday night without a reservation, grabbed a drink at the bar, and were seated within 10–15 minutes
Food:
• Zucchini chips: Thin, crispy, and lightly salted, golden and addictive. Very close to my all-time favorites.
• Spicy feta dip: Creamy with a balanced heat; rich but not overwhelming.
• Grilled octopus: Surprisingly tender with a subtle char and bright. Not something I usually order, but I’d absolutely get it again.
• Branzino: Moist, flaky, and deeply flavorful, super light
• Rice: Fragrant and savory - unexpectedly excellent.
• Lemon potatoes: perfect with a bold citrus punch.
Service: Warm, attentive, and efficient from start to finish.
A true standout and an easy repeat. Officially added to my list of favorite Greek restaurants.“

“We have enjoyed Sea Salt on past visits. This time our order was pre cooked. We ordered medium rare cheeseburgers and we received warmed up versions with cheese not melted instead of the fresh cooked ones in the past. It was disappointing. The rest of lunch was great. Service was superb.“

“Their lamb/beef gyro was really good. The bowl was stuffed! The wait was a bit long though, almost 25+ minutes just to get to order, and sometimes other people (I assume related) just cut in to throw in 5 or 10 other orders. The food came out very fast at least and I enjoyed my bowl. I see they have an online ordering site, so I may try that next time to reduce the wait. Would love to try the other items.“

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“
“What a hidden gem!! The decor, atmosphere, service and the food here is 10/10!! Our server Omo was great. My party decided to get several sides and dishes to share. Every single thing was delicious !!! The enclosed garden area where we sat as stunning as well as the interior space.
I highly recommended the following dishes:
Tzatziki and spicy feta dips, Garides Saganaki, Sofrito, Papoutsakia and the Dakos salad

The food was just okay. Small menu and the food was not amazing! We did a few apps like Saganaki (tasted dry), the hummus/feta/tziki trio.. just okay (the spicy feta was the only thing that had a burst of flavor) and we got the meatballs.
The drinks were great. Got the pineapple martini signature drink and another one with cucumber and gin and both were delicious!“

“I had such a great time at this Greek restaurant! Our server, George the Greek, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, funny, and full of personality. I laughed so much during the meal, and he made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming.
The food was incredibly tasty, too. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. I left completely satisfied and already planning my next visit.

“I honestly don’t understand how this place could ever have bad reviews the food at Let’s Go Ya Souvlakia is fresh, delicious, and incredibly authentic! Everything tastes amazing and feels healthy. I especially love the bowls the chicken kabobs are my absolute favorite! I even asked to customize my chicken, and they did it perfectly for me. The staff is super nice and accommodating. You must try the gyro sandwich too absolutely 🤤 I just love this place!“

“There is no lack of Souvlaki restaurants in NYC, let alone Astoria, but Christos Souvlaki Stand stands out.
Your basic choices (as I understand them) are- skewer, sandwich, or platter. Then you choose chicken or pork. While your order is being assembled, a couple of additional questions: hot sauce (say yes, it’s not that hot), BBQ sauce (say yes, it’s not what you think), and “everything”? (Also say yes, as this includes Tatziki, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes.
I ordered a fantastic pork souvlaki sandwich (with all of the above). The pork had just the right amount of char and smoke from their natural charcoal, but it was still juicy and tender. The fresh pita became a sponge for all the delicious juice that needed a home before my belly. I had to take it home, but you can see its ample size. In total, I think it was $7!
If you need to get on the subway to come here, do it. It’s totally worth it.“

“Whoa! The food was amazing! Im pescatarian, so I had the fish, and it was delicious. Everything was so fresh. There was a humus plate with 3 different flavors, and the cucumbers were beautifully decorated around them. I must have eaten all of the cucumbers. In some restaurants, a fresh cucumber can be hard to come by. The fish arrived on a bed sautéed spinach, WOW ❤️❤️. The sliced pita bread with the humus was addictive. I definitely ate way more than I should have. While I dont eat meat, the other folks I was dining with said the chicken and beef options were just as delicious. It was family style, so we had lots of options. The restaurant is small but quaint, and the customer service was amazing. The food came out quickly, and there were about 13 of us. We had a reservation for 1 pm on a Thursday, and it was not crowded.
There isn't a lot of space to move around, so I would be conscious of carrying large bags or strollers.“

“This place was fantastic! Over the years I've been here maybe 10 times. I never complain when my friends or family suggest this place to eat for dinner. The waitresses are always a pleasure to deal with. They assist me well when I ask for all my extras and meal modifications. The chef ?? in the back is on point. “I came here for the chicken cheeseburger and fries, and both were really good -fresh, flavorful, and just the kind of comfort food you want. The service was friendly and the place feels cozy, nothing fancy but nice quality. I also tried the baklava since they didn’t have cheesecake that day. It was okay, maybe 6/10, not something I’d order again. But for sure, if you come here, get the chicken cheeseburger with fries , that’s the real highlight“

“An absolutely amazing experience!!!! They are open late on the weekend and the perfect stop after the bar. The food was delicious- the kabobs and fries with feta cheese hit just the spot. Anthony's service was fast and he made our experience so pleasant. We came in with a large group and we were served in maybe 10 minutes max for a group of 7. We will definitely be coming back!!!“
