“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

“The food and service at Tasha’s is great! My husband loves her food he won’t even let me cook him oxtails. He has had us try so many dishes and we are delighted everytime. The portions are large enough to eat a 2nd 3rd time depending on your appetite. There’s always dessert selections fresh in the fridge. And Tasha along with the family friendly staff are pleasant and welcoming. Now she sells her Oxtail Rub so you can try your hand at it. Overall I give Tasha 5 plus stars. “Amazing!! My friend and I decided to go last minute and when we arrived there were no seats but we decided to wait. We made friends in line and Devin let us all know that he knew where people were in line which allowed us to relax and enjoy the show (him doing his thing). When we got a seat and our food it was so worth the wait. Incredible!! We had 3 different flavors of wings and an order of fries. It’s clear that Devin takes great pride in his work. Delicious and fresh. He was also so friendly and excited to talk about his spot, letting us know more seating would be available soon. Can’t wait to go back!!“

The little butterflied fried shrimp tasted the best. Delish… The chicken had a very good flavor- fried and bbq. They have a homemade hot sauce, it has a good flavor, tastes like pepper sauce, meaning habanero/scotch bonnet . Only a little is needed not to overpower.. And it is Hawt!! 🌶️ If you like sweet greens, that’s what they have. I prefer no sweet but they were still good. The only con was, you could see the old glory days that must have been in there. The decor especially in the bathroom is a lil dull grunge unfortunately in need of a little love and maintenance. I would still eat here again though. That’s the only reason they didn’t get a 5

Here is the biggest PRO… a budget tip : If you’re headed to LGA, LaGuardia airport especially with a large family stop here… get your plate instead of the $20 plate at the airport. Large variety of tasty options Good to go“
