Easily one of the best noodles and wontons Ive ever had.

“Absolutely loved the experience at South of the Clouds! If you’re looking for something beyond typical Chinese food, this place brings authentic Yunnan flavors that are truly unique.

We tried the Yunnan fried stuffed tofu, which was perfectly crispy outside and soft inside, packed with flavor. The traditional Kunming braised noodles were comforting and rich—definitely a must-have. The black truffle fried rice was next-level, super aromatic and indulgent.

The chicken stir-fried noodles were flavorful and well-balanced, and to finish, the fresh coconut cream was refreshing and light—perfect ending to the meal.

The ambiance is cozy and modern, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, a hidden gem in Jersey City for authentic Chinese cuisine with a twist. Highly recommend!“

“Fantastic food, great ambiance. I throughly enjoyed the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and Chicken skewer, the broth was thick and bold full of flavor, the pork was sweet and salty and very tender, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I would come here every day if I lived in New York.“

The chef asked us for our requirements and explained that the place is not like traditional thai food and also graciously accepted our request to cook the poached egg fully. “I visited this place on a snowy day, and they offered hot red date water—honestly the perfect drink for the middle of winter. The food was just as impressive: the Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles and the lamb paomo were both really authentic. Warm, comforting, and absolutely worth coming back for!“

“This is one of my favorite Thai food spots in this area. Food is really good. I order from here and pick up quite often. However sometimes I order for delivery and I really wish they could get stickers or something to go on top of the drinks to ensure delivery drivers can’t put anything in it. Or the drinks don’t leak out.“

“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

“Paid 11.95 for the lunch combo c-- 8 fat dumplings and a foil bag of spicy chicken. It came with a coke, which I don't drink and wish they'd asked me if I wanted to swap. The dumplings came with a vinegary garlic sauce that I drenched them in. The skin was thin and the pork and chive filling was a little on the dense side, which is not a bad thing, just a matter of taste.

The spicy chicken definitely lacked depth and spice. The spicy mayo was also not spicy...“

“Been eyeing 👀 this Thai spot for a while now. I walked in and received a warm welcome with pleasant energy. I ordered the coconut soup 🍲 , (Tom Kha) , Brown rice and veggie chive dumplings steamed. “Loved the pad thai I got with shrimp!! 🦐 The service was great too. The store looks very cute from the outside with the facade and the nice tin boxes inside on the tables. With small adjustments it could be elevated further! Overall, great place to take-away and I am definitely coming back!“

“Fantastic Vietnamese place, especially for first time diners. I had a delicious Bahn Mi sandwich with pork and DEVOURED it. My friends got some of the appetizers and the vermincelli all of which was also incredible. Food came out very quickly and hot. I also recommend getting one of their “exotic” drinks to try, especially the mangotree drink. It’s very similar in texture to mango nectar and very yummy! Overall, had a great experience and can’t wait to go back.“

“I admit I didn’t have very high hopes when I came across this spot as a recommended lunch place; maybe I was afraid to be disappointed since I love Vietnamese cuisine.

But I am happy to report that my order was delicious (I got the bun). Excellent flavors, great mix of textures and colors, perfectly seasoned. My only hope is that they offer bowls of pho broth in the future.

I’d recommend you pick up a book from Watchung Booksellers right next door (it’s attached to the restaurant) and have a peaceful lunch here.“

“I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants. Red Basil is the best Thai food I have had. Other Thai places are very sweet. Even though all of their food is great, I highly recommend the green curry. Red Basil has rich flavor without being so sweet. The service is also great. Great atmosphere.“

“This afternoon was the first time I stopped in at Eatalia to try the pizza. I was in the mood for a personal cheese pizza with extra cheese. Well the gentleman who made the pizza fulfilled my request and did not disappoint. He was very kind and didn't even charge me for the extra cheese. I told him I'd write a review after trying the pizza. I decided on take out and enjoyed my personal cheese pizza at home. It was absolutely delicious. “Food was very tasty, just a tad bit oily for my preference. Ordered 3 dishes for 3 people and would say that it was super filling. It gave a sense of nostalgia in the way it tastes homemade and fresh (crab on blue crab dish was a dead crab, only downside) would not recommend the blue crab dish as they gave a mushy dead crab, but the fried rice under it was something that made up for it. ordered the sweet and sour pork rice and the seafood rice cake which were both excellent. “When I came to New York for a concert in February or March, I stayed at a ramen shop near my place. They also had sauerkraut fish, spicy hot pot, barbecue, and many other things. The food was pretty good, and it was quite crowded during mealtimes, with tables turning over frequently. On a cold night, slurping down a bowl of noodles was so satisfying, especially since the taste was really good and the price was very reasonable. If it weren't just for two people, I would have ordered a lot more.“

(although the lettuce is weird sorry). the dumplings in chili oil taste super authentic and have a greattttt flavor. i loved everything here and i would order 10000 percent again. never change !! (besides the lettuce)

“Still my favorite crossing bridge location in 8 Avenue. Very flavored broth and for a time frame now they stopped charging tips and it's more self service.

So you ordered in the front and for crossing bridge noodles you can either request them to put in everything or have them take it out with each ingredient and put in everything yourself. It's also not as busy back in the day so usually there isn't any wait time.“

It was amazing, really one of the best places we have eaten and seemed very authentic. This is very much understated, a hole in the wall with a relatively simple menu.
