“This is what we call “fine dining.” We did not reserve the main dining room, as one of our party did not care for prix fixe. We opted for the lounge as you can have from the menu or prix fixe. When you first arrive, you are greeted by a pleasant hat/coat check lady. We arrived early and said we would wait for the other couple and were invited to wait in the intimate cocktail area. The cocktails were superb and served with a house-made cocktail snack. When the guests of the party arrived, we were escorted to the lounge area. An intimate area with about six to eight tables. After being seated and greeted by the head server (maître d' or captain), who explained our options, we all opted for the menu. After looking at all the choices, we decided to split two appetizers. Even though the number of items on each choice was uneven, the server said, “Let me take care of it". And then beautifully presented plates arrived with equal portions. And it only got better from there. The entrées were each explained in detail, including their origins and how they were prepared. I could go on and on. The fish, beef, duck breast, and pork were everything we expected and more. We all commented, maybe the best we have had. The house made desserts were perfect. I had possibly the best cheese plate I have ever had. The entire staff of servers were professionals and enhanced the evening. The most disappointing part of the evening was when a guest entering the dining room (after removing his overcoat) came in dressed in Dockers and a short-sleeve polo. This is an insult to the owner, the chef, and the entire staff at this fine restaurant. But maybe he was an elite or a “special” person. We all said we would be back.“

“Monkey Bar was incredible! We were lucky enough to get a table in the bar area and had the best experience. The service was out of this world, the food was delicious, and the drinks couldn’t come fast enough!

We spent such a wonderful afternoon there and were treated so well from start to finish. And my mom could not stop talking about that darn monkey bread! 😂

“Today was my first time visiting West Bank Café, and I had the best experience ever! The staff and service were fantastic, and the owner greeted us as soon as we arrived. It’s in a great location, right in the heart of Manhattan. There’s even a parking garage next to the restaurant, which is perfect if you’re a commuter. I would definitely eat here again. “i’m here to tell you the hype is true. The burritos are so freaking good. The sauce is immaculate. I always ask for extra sauce. My favorite is the sausage burrito and the bacon. I usually get both and eat half-and-half and split it with my partner. lol

I usually travel all the way to Brooklyn for a similar type of burrito (santos) and I’m so happy to have found this gem uptown nyc!! (no pic because burrito was inhaled)
