“Forgot to take mouth-watering pictures before we devoured all dumplings. We came in before 7pm where it was empty inside but the kitchen was bustling. As we waited and ate our food, lots of people came strolling in to pick up and dine-in. It’s a small place but with big flavor. While there is a variety of food, we craved dumplings and this place delivered. We tried the steam and fried pork and chive dumplings and soup dumplings. Fried dumplings made this way is exactly how we remember it in one of our favorite places in Houston. They also sell wholesale frozen dumplings ($15/50 pieces). Can’t wait to make them at home.

Johnson (hope I remembered your name correctly!) took our order and served us. It seems like he’s the boss/owner as he made sure all dishes were to perfection. If it wasn’t good, he didn’t serve it. “I made this reservation after reading the reviews regarding the food quality and the proximity to Broadway. We were running late for our reservation and I was completely flustered because I didn't want to be late for our 8:00 show. We were seated and our orders were taken and were served the most delicious Samosa appetizers, entrees and drinks (Django mango margaritas). We shared our Kedhai chicken, Butter chicken, Hakka noodles and Goan fish curry and were happily satisfied with plenty of time to get to our show in time. The Maitre ‘D and servers were amazing. I got the spicy stir fry cumin lamb hand ripped noodles for around $15-16.You have the options of adjustung the spice level and choosing less oil, less vegetable etc so thats nice. When my food was ready, I was called to come collect it.

The food was nice. It felt like non Chinese american food in the sense that it was not sweet at all and had a more mature taste (almost bitter in a way because of the spice and cumin). I enjoyed it. Its nit obvious in the picture but the dish itself has a lot of oil so its good they give you the less oil option.“

“This was literally so good and affordable! So many yummy vegetarian protein options, my favorite being tofu skin of course. Spice level 3 is very spicy, I don’t even know how people go up to 4 or 5 (you are brave!). The interior is so sparkly clean and service was 10/10. Recommend !!“

“Ok so I love Din Tai Fung, I’ve been to it in Taiwan. The location here is really beautiful, I like the service and the atmosphere. However, if I were to compare it to Taiwans Din Tai Fung it does fall short of the taste of the noodles and wonton soup 😭 The chocolate xiao long Bao’s were really really good! Better than I expected. The normal xiao long Bao’s are good too but a bit dry on the top. The wonton soup had no taste though. The bok choy was very yummy and the cucumber salad tasted the same as how I remembered it in Taiwan too. But like they do charge more here so I did expect it to be the same or better!“

“I really like Lucas Sin, so I was expecting this place to be a little more. My expectations aside, the staff was overworked even after 8:30pm, but they were still courteous. I would say this place would still rank much better than Panda Express (there's one down the street), given that this is kind of like a make-your-own type of place (think Sweetgreen, DIGG, etc.) but with a proper Chinese flair (again, contrast with Panda Express).

I would say that the seating area was a little not well-maintained, but you are served with a bowl used for a take-out anyway, so just take it to a place you feel more comfortable eating.

Vegetarian options: Build-your-own, others are clearly marked on the menu.

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“The best and most authentic Chinese beef noodle soup I’ve had in a long time. Flavorful broth, tender beef, and perfectly chewy noodles.

The service was incredibly fast — they brought my food out within 10 minutes of ordering. Absolutely delicious.

“This is the best Chinese take out in the area. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Truly authentic Hong Kong style dishes - not too oily/salty. And there are a few chef specials that are hard to find elsewhere too.

You can tell their ingredients are just better, there's healthy options and best of all their prices are so fair for the large portion sizes. Lunch special is only $8.50 for delicious meat & veggies on rice plus a side. It's always fast, They just do it right every time.“
