“If you’re simply here to enjoy good food, then you came to the right place. The ingredients are solid and absolutely worth the price — honestly, even comparable to places that charge $200–300.
But if you’re coming for a date or looking for ceremony and ambiance, this isn’t really the spot. There’s no detailed ingredient presentation or any wow-factor moments.
One more thing to note: after you finish all the courses, the extra add-on dishes aren’t really worth it.

“This was my first time trying omakase in New York, and I went alone — but the experience couldn’t have been better. From the beginning, the staff made sure to ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated. I felt completely taken care of the whole time.

“Fuku Omakase was a decent experience overall. The courses were well-executed, the fish was fresh, and everything was generally good. However, a few details held the meal back from being truly memorable.

One issue we had was the rice. It was overcooked and too soft, which affected the texture and balance of the sushi. Additionally, the atmosphere was not as refined as expected. The background music was TOO loud, which seemed to encourage customers to raise their voices just to be heard. It made the space feel more chaotic than relaxing.

Fuku has potential, but a few adjustments—especially to the rice and the ambiance—would make a big difference.“

“Went to Choo Choo Train with five friends. Ordered Miso Salmon entree and it was delicious. Salmon was grilled perfectly, broccoli and carrots were cooked well and still crunchy, and mashed sweet potatoes were yummy. Cannot say enough about food and attentive service. Will return...no doubt!“

“Got the $50 set menu, really good value. The 9 piece nigiri was really good. Miso black cod and coconut shrimp hand rolls also very good but logistically challenging. Korean chicken app was great, gyoza I didnt love. Place was clean and food was fast.“

“I ventured to this spot after a meeting for a solo lunch. I came on a weekday between lunch and dinner, so I was seated immediately. The hostess was extremely helpful & nice, she explained the ordering process very clearly. Seeing my dish slide down the conveyor belt was just a lot of fun and the wall of Anime figures near the bar is incredible. I love One Piece & Dragon Ball so it was definitely a nice touch.

Best:
The Yellowtail was so fresh! That and the Aburi Salmon Mayo were my favorite types of nigiri.
My favorite rolls were definitely Volcano & Yummy 😋

Pass:
Chicken Karage, while cooked perfectly, it was very dry and the coating was not the best.
Also I'd stay away from the hand rolls. The rice makes up 75% of the filling.

Lastly please note sashimi does not appear on the ayce menu, so just keep that in mind if you're not looking to consume too many carbs.“

“Delightful! We were in early after a day of hoofing all over mid-town. We were greeted by our server and seated immediately (like I said, It was early) but un-rushed as we reviewed our options. We both ordered sushi-sashimi combinations as well as gyoza to keep it light. All excellent! The fish was so fresh and perfectly sliced/prepared. An avocado green salad was crisp, fresh and more than enough. The gyoza was obviously made with care, moist and tender. My wine accompaniment rounded out our meal. And the chef even seared my fish because unlike my husband who loves raw sashimi, I prefer the texture of cooked fish.
