“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

“I always had a delicious lunch special dining experience at this Thai restaurant! Not only their lunch special is affordable, the portion was generous and their service was prompt. The chicken green curry was rich and aromatic, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The pad Thai had a wonderful mix of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors, while the beef with basil sauce was incredibly fragrant and satisfying. Her and her partners opened 11 Tigers in 2022 (year of the tiger which symbolizes success). The staff do an excellent job of mixing food and entertainment.“

Anyone who skips this place while in Dumbo should reconsider their life choices.“

“I love HanGawi and once I learned the owners also run another vegan Korean food restaurant, Franchia, I knew I had to try. And it did not disappoint! I’ve been countless times since then. Really nice ambience—I recommend the higher floors for more privacy (but is less accessible given the stairs). Tried the following: - Thai iced tea: awesome to find a semi-affordable vegan version of Thai iced tea! - Jeon (Korean savory pancakes) Combo: absolutely delicious and great to share, fun to share a mix of the flavors (sweet corn cilantro, scallion, and kimchi) - Crispy Korean Chili Tofu: really delicious and the perfect amount of heat in the sauce and crisp texture of the tofu - Sizzling Mushroom: disappointing, had a congealed texture, not super flavorful (doesn’t compare to the version at HanGawi) - Tofu Crumble Bibimbap: tasty - Spicy Kimchi Bibimbap: very good if you like kimchi! - Vegetarian “Duck”: good with a fake meat texture (Side note: I much prefer the bibimbap at HanGawi but the ones at Franchia are solid) Updated from previous review on 2025-08-16“

“I love it! It's fast, easy service. There's so much about this that I like and that I can't put it all into one message. The rice they give is generous. They put a lot of toppings as well as many, many things that they're just you just got to love it“

“Lovely! This was a perfect birthday dinner celebration. The staff is gracious an inviting from the second you ring the doorbell. The space is beautiful although the enclosed garden was a little bit hot. I'm glad it wasn't hot or out and I'm sure it would be perfectly cozy in the winter.

The food was beautifully presented, deeply delicious and thoroughly explained. Even the chawanmushi, which looks deceptively plain, was a delicate swirl of flavor layers.

We had 12 courses and never felt rushed.

“I had an issue with an excess charge on my credit card for a take out order. The owner contacted me and investigated it. He refunded the excess amount and I'm glad they are on top of it. Great customer service and really wanting to make things right.
Overall, I enjoy eating here and I've recommended it to my family and friends. I have tried a couple of their dishes and they are popular for their handroll. Sushi set is also a must. The sea bass is my fave, it just takes a while to be cook because they grill it. My bf likes the hormone don. A good spot for those who wants to try korean/ japanese fusion dish.
