“The food was really good. I got fried rice and they must have put like three eggs in it!!! They are not stingy I know that.
A side of broccoli and carrots perfectly steamed!!
Crispy veggie dumplings don’t really deliver well but they were still good.
Only thing I would change is I wish they had more steamed food on their menu, it’s mostly fried. But it was all very good. And I wish they had assorted teas not just soda.“

“I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants. Red Basil is the best Thai food I have had. Other Thai places are very sweet. Even though all of their food is great, I highly recommend the green curry. Red Basil has rich flavor without being so sweet. The service is also great. Great atmosphere.“

“I came from California for a visit with my brother and just before 11:00 p.m. we decided we wanted Chinese food. we were pleasantly surprised when we got back to the hotel room and the food was amazing authentic Chinese was simply Delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone, also if you're old school from New York you would understand what I'm talking about. I just ordered it again shrimp fried rice LOL.“

“What a great hidden gem! My mom and I just discovered this place looking for a nice happy hour to sit down and eat. 7 dollar cocktails and delicious food! The Thai spicy wings were out of this WORLD! Incredible! Everyone should come here for a nice enjoyable happy hour experience. Very clean and the staff is wonderful! Great service, everything was a 10/10!“

“This is a 2nd floor Japanese-Thai speakeasy in Alphabet City where the food menu leans toward Japan while the drinks are Thai-inspired with the menu designed by veteran NYC bartender and Phetchaboon native Sayparn. Her and her partners opened 11 Tigers in 2022 (year of the tiger which symbolizes success). The staff do an excellent job of mixing food and entertainment.“

“Honestly no complaints, the food was amazing, I would go with a veggie hot pot, however the tea was great, their cabbage is flavorful and I enjoyed their beef Scallion Pancake for real surprised when they were making right in front of my eyes. “Had a lovely dining experience at Beefbar. We started with the crispy rice tuna tartare: tuna had a soft texture and was full of flavor. We shared a 10oz wagyu filet, wagyu bolognese, and truffle fries. Everything was delicious! Steak had a nice char, was tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Pappardelle deserves a chefs kiss!!“

“We love coming to Saketumi. The food is excellent and the sashimi is always perfect but our very favourite thing is the waitstaff! They are so kind and make a huge effort to entertain our toddler and make sure that he has a great time. Highly recommend getting the Bento box dinner as well as the sake jelly shots.“

“Man I would eat here everyday if I could. Excellent Indochinese comparable to Houston. Got chili momos, chicken tikka banh mi, nasi goreng, and manchow soup. All were so flavorful and they don’t skimp on the meat or veggies. Great music and vibe all around.“

“This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The service was attentive, and the food was outstanding. Since everything is vegan, it was ideal for our spring Easter lent. I ordered the asparagus rolls for the first time, and they turned out to be absolutely delicious. The angel‑hair pasta with their vegan “chicken” was amazing—so flavorful and satisfying. And of course, the volcano rolls were my favorite, just as perfect as always.“

“Me and my friends came to Bon chon for lunch and ordered chicken, katsu, fries, and street corn. In terms of the chicken, it’s cooked very well, crispy, and the sauce is delicious. The only takeaway is for people who don’t love salty foods the chicken may seem a little salty but for people who enjoy savory things the chicken is perfect. The pickled radish that comes with chicken offers a mild, fresh, and sweet flavor. For the katsu, it has a hint of spice, and the sauce delivers a sweet and savory flavor. The coleslaw that comes with it, is not soggy and is delivered perfectly, it’s crisp and cool. The only takeaway to have for the katsu is that it’s a little tough/overcooked. The fries are crispy -and golden. It’s soft on the inside and delivers a great flavor. If you prefer salt on your fries we recommend adding salt but if you don’t these fries are perfect for you. And finally for the street corn, it has a great flavor, it’s cooked pretty well, and the cheese and the greens add a nice touch. We would definitely get it again. The staff here are so nice and caring, we would definitely come again, get these foods, and we recommend you try these next time as well.“

“The food I ordered was good ,well seasoned, but when I wanted to order their signature dish, which is the bao bao buns, they said it’s no longer in stock and won’t be ready till next season.

“Loopy's is the best. Just finished some of their delicious Bibim Bop. The Apps are good too - Summer Rolls were crunchy and the shrimp fresh and fried dumplings were delish also. Definitely recommend, eaten here dozens of times and always consistently great.“

Pros: The food again is delicious, good quality. The place is easy to find, it's got parking in front (at least when I came). The staff were nice, friendly and I'm sure they probably know the frequent patrons by name. The food is ready when you call in at the time they state.
Cons: The price was slightly expensive, I'd like to come more frequently but not at those prices. So not a real complaint.“

“I got takeout the other night—braised beef & noods, eastern cukes, congee and the cabbage special. I have no words. Well, I guess I do—happy dance mouth explosions. The cukes even got better as a pickled snack the next day. The staff was kind and fun, and I had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who deserves 5 stars as a human. Anyone who skips this place while in Dumbo should reconsider their life choices.“

It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“

“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“
