“Local favorite. Can’t go wrong. It’s not cheap, but worth it. I’d pass on the scallion pancakes. They barely have scallion or scallion flavor. But my main gripe is please hire competent behind the POS. Why am I asking 2 and 3 times if an order was received? Why are you answering “hello?” Instead of Handpulled Noodle? And why are you saying the restaurant is on 148th? Lol it’s in on Broadway between 148th and 149th. Just a very bizarre experience on a Friday night.“

“We came in a party of five - two adults and three kids. We ordered one tsukemen, two ramen (deluxe and miso), one kid’s meal, and one fried chicken (karaage with Korean spicy sauce). All were delicious and filling. Anime is playing from a projector on the wall, which kept my boys occupied and quiet 😉. Staff were polite to us and the kids. We tried the fried calamari, Pad Kana Moo Grob (Sautéed crispy pork belly with chinese broccoli in garlic sauce.), Pork Chops Vegetable Garlic Sauce, crab fried rice and for dessert, the mango coconut sticky rice. Took me 7 minutes to order a cheeseburger, couldn't make it into a meal unless I chose a specific restaurant... its all being made in the same kitchen, people like me do not care about the name associated with it. “Seeking gourmet level Chinese cuisine brought me to Mister Chen’s Seafood & Bar. Their extensive menu confirmed my next dinner destination.

My luck continued as upon arrival @7 Sat night there was plenty of seating. Immediately seated, I began the tough choice of so many unique preparations!

My choices included Fresh Seafood & Bean Curd Soup, Chicken & Broccoli, Beef w Szechuan Chili Spiced Onions, House Style Singapore Noodles.

The soup was subtle & delicious, slightly different appearance from menu. Some chili oil & soy sauce made it just right for my palate. The Beef was really tasty & well seasoned, subtle flavors with familiar spices & some mysterious undertones. Chicken broccoli was a great version of a popular combination. The Singapore Mei Fun noodles had an emphasis of curry which was unexpectedly inspired yet did not match my taste. It may have been slightly over seasoned for my liking.

Overall an excellent choice for inspired Chinese cuisine food! Returning soon!!!“

“I found this restaurant randomly while running errands, I've lived in the Bronx for 8 years now and this is by far the best pad thai I've had in all of New York. The pad thai was so flavorful and I got the beef with it. I also ordered a passion fruit iced tea and it was the perfect refreshment in this 100 degree weather. I've been seeing the mango sticky rice on TikTok recently and I was happy to see on the menu they also had Mango with sticky rice, which was packed with flavors as well. Will definitely be ordering from here more frequently.“

Spicy Chicken Yakisoba Noodles

These stir fried noodles were served with a variety of vegetables and the protein of my choice. I wanted a kick, so I chose spicy chicken for a small up charge. The entree was garnished with sesame seeds. This was a scrumptious plate and I was beyond satisfied.

The portion size was very generous and it is definitely intended for a group of 2.

I decided to explore this location on a whim and I’m glad I did. I’m truly looking forward to return to explore the other dishes, especially anything from the Teriyaki section.

“This is my go to place for Chinese take out not because of its closeness to where I live, but because the food is good. I will say that it seems to get pricier each time. Last week I ordered a half chicken and a beef and broccoli that came out to just under $40. At these prices, it will no longer be my don't feel like cooking alternative. At least not as often. “This is the spot for breakfast in the Morningside / Columbia neighborhood and with good reason. It’s harder all the time to find fresh home-made bagels in the city and they are holding the fort. If you arrive early enough you can see the bagel men rolling them at the back counter. It’s busy — I don’t trust a deli that’s not — but the line moves. The staff are complete pros and always helpful. If there is ever an issue they fix it with a smile. The bacon, egg and cheese is a meal in itself, tasty and not greasy. The coffee is good with refills at a discount. Occasionally, I’ll stop in for a sandwich at lunch. The ingredients are fresh and they don’t skimp. Everything about this place is quality.“
