“My family and I were so impressed with Minetta’s. We came for the food and history and left feeling like we just had one of the best nights in New York. Our waiter was spot-on excellent, quick, concerned, and at the ready for anything our group needed. Every dish was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer and had yet another course, but we split due to theater plans. This wasn’t our first trip to Minetta’s and won’t be our last.“

“Williamsburg was largely unimpressive until I tried this place. I was there for breakfast and their French toast is the best I've ever had so far. Not your typical toast where you pour syrup on top. This bread is perfectly moist and sweet and does not require syrup. There is a creme topping you can pour over that made for the perfect combo. There are so many places that claim best pancakes, best French toast, etc. French toast, here, is a must. Now I want to come back and see about the pancakes. For savory, we got the merguez omlette. I am not a huge sausage (the sausage not pork, might have been beef) fan, but this was really flavorful and I would absolutely order again. I am usually not excited about brunch, but this place does it for me. And, the ambiance is excellent. I love the exposed brick and overall decor. I could not stop commenting on how positive the experience was and how much I want to return. And, I am one of those people where virtually every place is forgettable except the ones that are not. This is my current #1 for breakfast/brunch until further notice. Highly recommend for all occasions (and that you make reservations in advance). Definitely going back soon!“

“This is what we call “fine dining.” We did not reserve the main dining room, as one of our party did not care for prix fixe. We opted for the lounge as you can have from the menu or prix fixe. When you first arrive, you are greeted by a pleasant hat/coat check lady. We arrived early and said we would wait for the other couple and were invited to wait in the intimate cocktail area. The cocktails were superb and served with a house-made cocktail snack. When the guests of the party arrived, we were escorted to the lounge area. An intimate area with about six to eight tables. After being seated and greeted by the head server (maître d' or captain), who explained our options, we all opted for the menu. After looking at all the choices, we decided to split two appetizers. Even though the number of items on each choice was uneven, the server said, “Let me take care of it". And then beautifully presented plates arrived with equal portions. And it only got better from there. The entrées were each explained in detail, including their origins and how they were prepared. I could go on and on. The fish, beef, duck breast, and pork were everything we expected and more. We all commented, maybe the best we have had. The house made desserts were perfect. I had possibly the best cheese plate I have ever had. The entire staff of servers were professionals and enhanced the evening. The most disappointing part of the evening was when a guest entering the dining room (after removing his overcoat) came in dressed in Dockers and a short-sleeve polo. This is an insult to the owner, the chef, and the entire staff at this fine restaurant. But maybe he was an elite or a “special” person. We all said we would be back.“

“Had to swing by the new Boucherie and see what this new addition was bringing to the Chicago scene. My visit on a Sunday at 7:30pm was way different than my visit on a Thursday night at 8:30pm. Sunday was calm, spacious with a very moderate noise level but Thursday night was oddly the complete opposite - it was loud, busy and had much less space! 😂 I’d definitely say be cognizant of that when you go; the vibes can vary. The drinks were good - my favorite was “La vie en rose” and the French martini was tasty as well. Loved the escargots and the garlic butter sauce they were drowned in! I also had the saumon roti and that choron sauce on top was delish! I wasn’t a fan of the Paris-Brest for dessert, but the crème brûlée was good! The interior is so beautiful! 😍 Stop by for a visit and see how you like this new Chicago restaurant! Ask for Manuel to be your waiter - he was the best!!!“

“Le Jardinier was a beautiful dining experience. The space feels refined, calm, and elegant without being pretentious. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the menu strikes a great balance between lightness, seasonality, and flavor.
We had the 3-course menu and started with the burrata and leeks, followed by the snow crab and salmon. The starters were incredibly fresh, refreshing, and well-balanced. The salmon was cooked medium and tasted excellent.
A special mention goes to the house-made bread and butter—absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of the meal. For dessert, we had the yuzu mousse and mango mille-feuille, both beautifully executed and a perfect finish.
The service was professional, attentive, and warm throughout the evening. A wonderful fine-dining experience where thoughtful cuisine, beautiful design, and great hospitality come together effortlessly.“

“Quiet, tasty, and welcoming service. It earns its star (especially those sauces). The waiter may add some charm and levity even as the kitchen peels their little heirloom tomatoes. Equally solid for birthdays, anniversaries, and getting a nice quiet corner to yourself.
If you're into wine, be sure to look out for their semi-regular events.“

“Tucked away on a bustling Midtown street, Le Veau d'Or hides behind what appears to be a simple residential door, a charming secret that opens into a classic French bistro adorned in elegant black and red accents.
I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here with my husband, and the hospitality made it feel special from the very first moment. The staff greeted us warmly and wished me a happy birthday multiple times throughout the evening. The menu is classically French at its heart, yet thoughtfully crafted with the seasons in mind, a balance that speaks to both tradition and care.
We initially worried that a three-course meal might not be enough, so we added a side order of fries dish just to be safe, but the generous, beautifully executed appetizers and freshly served bread were so satisfying that we found ourselves nearly full before the main course even arrived!
Le Veau d'Or is the kind of restaurant you want to keep as your own little secret, yet can't help but tell everyone about. Though with reservations as coveted as they are, the secret is very much already out.“

“A warm welcoming place offering French Creole cuisine from Reunion island. A compact menu offering very reasonably priced apps and mains, and a lot of lentil and rice. Ordered the sampler though a few items we wanted were out. Tender coconut shrimp and beef Bourguignon entrees were excellent. We were well taken care of by the staff.“

“Dining at Le Rivage has become a family tradition. My MIL would eat there when she lived in NYC decades ago. She returned with her son (my husband) when he was young. Now, in 2025, we took our boys there on their first visit to NYC. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food is always wonderful. Highly recommended.“

“Really good flavors! The tuna toast and leek salad were highlights. Also had the bottled pilsner which was great. Love the space and service as well.
Two notes: 1. I felt the “light” cocktail was a bit too watered down 2. The lamb dish is super flavorful but steep at $50 given portion size“

“We celebrated a year from when we got engaged in Paris at this beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious; the music was incredible and our server Andrea completely took care of us. We had prosecco to celebrate, opened gifts and enjoyed each other’s company to the steak and the branzino. If you come here, ask for Andrea and ask for her recommendations ♥ It was so special because of her.“

“Really enjoyed our meal here! Some really stand out dishes, incredible service, and super intimate space.
Some dishes did fall a bit flat (specifically a fish dish that needed a bit more acid to balance it out & desert was a bit underwhelming), but the standouts really stood out to make this a meal worth coming back to. A personal favorite was the Dashi presentation in a wine glass & incredible wagyu beef. Excited to try their next menu!“
